  • New So…? Body Mists In Superdrug!

Who doesn’t love a body mist? Most of us, men and women, have some form of body mist in our bag, pocket, desk drawer or car. It’s a cheap and easy why to smell nice and freshen ourselves up. For me, body mists need to be affordable. I don’t use them in the same way as an actual perfume. I’m heavy handed, spray like a manic and regularly. The price of whatever mist I’m using needs to be reasonably low. So it was nice to see a body mist brand I use often, So…?, have some new fragrances available in Superdrug. So what did I find?

    Fragrances

4 different fragrances available, all seem drink inspired, which I loved! Coco de Mango, Matcha Macadamia, Iced Vanilla Latte and Cherry Bubbles. Coco de Mango I imagine having a tropical smell to it. Fruity, sweet with a very sunny blend of coconut and mango, which screams summer to me. Matcha Macadamia very much on the matcha trend. Will this have an earthy, nuttiness to it? If that’s the case I don’t think it will be liked by everyone, but will be unique. Iced Vanilla Latte, creamy, comforting vanilla with a dash of coffee. Cherry Bubbles… I’m hoping is sweet, cherry berry like with a fizz to it.

So…? Coco de Mango Body Mist
    Packaging

How these body mists are packaged is totally different to other body mists in the So…? range. The bottles are quite chunky, with the widest part at the top and goes in towards the bottom. Typical spray top to release the fragrance. What stood out for me, not only the shape of the bottle, but their colouring. Each one coloured in a way that matches the fragrance name e.g Coco de Mango is orange and Ice Vanilla Latte beige. These stand out, very fun and very different.

    Size & price

Each body mist is 150ml. I couldn’t find these on Superdrug’s website but in my local store were only £2.49, which is great value.

    So…? Matcha Macadamia Body Mist
    Thoughts?

Affordable, great mix of fragrances which will be perfect for wearing during summer and nicely packaged. Do I want to try these out? Yes I do! Will I buy at least one? Probably, why not? * These are available on So…?’s website, along with other scents available. Price? £4.99 each!

  • Superdrug’s Limited Edition Halloween Fruity Body Mists

Superdrug is one of those staple stores on the UK high street that stocks a wide range of products from health care to hair care, body care to skin care. Is it somewhere I shop regularly? No. So what draws me back into purchasing from Superdrug? Price promotions and their own branded products is what pulls me in. Perfect example is their Fruity range. I recently bought two of their Limited Edition Halloween Fruity Body Mists. But why?

    I’ve used them before

Last year I bought and loved their Fruity Blood Orange Body Mist. Great price point, I loved the scent of it and it was just something a little different fragrance wise. So I already had an idea what the quality of their other body mists would be like in this range.

What did I buy & why?

I originally wanted a different scent but it wasn’t in store. So I opted for two limited edition body mists in Sour Apple and Pumpkin Spice. Both were seasonal, both appealed to me scent wise. And when I had a sniff off Sour Apple I wasn’t leaving the store without it! But why did I look at them in the first place, besides the fact I’ve used one of the body mists before? Price point! When I purchased these they were half price with Superdrug’s loyalty card which made the mists very affordable.

    Pumpkin Spice

This is the time of year when anything and everything that can be scented will include pumpkin spice as a fragrance. Superdrug’s Fruity Pumpkin Spice Body Mist is very spicy and warming in the form of ginger and a little cinnamon. Do I get much pumpkin? Maybe, but its the spices that come through more and I love it.

    Sour Apple

I can honestly say I have NEVER smelt a body mist in this scent before! It literally smells like fizzy, apple flavoured sweets. So there’s no mistaking what this fragrance is! Sweet, effervescent, zingy apple, which I love as it’s very unusual in this fragrance form.

Superdrug’s Fruity Sour Apple Body Mist
    Worth buying?

These aren’t perfumes, so don’t expect them to have the same longevity or strength as a fragrance full of essential or fragrance oils like an eau de toilette or eau de parfum. But these are the perfect sizes to travel with (100ml), seasonal scents with Sour Apple being a revelation! And if bought while on promotion (which this range of body mists these have been regularly), very affordable! Definitely worth a buy!

Usual retail price is £3.49, but at time of writing this post half price with a Superdrug loyalty card.

  • More Sol de Janerio Body Mist Dupes in Primark?

As a lover of a good body mist, I’m not mad there’s loads of them available on the high street. But more Sol de Janerio body mist dupes? Hmmm. I’m not bothered if they’re dupes or not at this stage. As long as they smell nice, that’s my main concern. My second is being affordable, which Primark’s current selection of body mists are. So what do they have available to buy?

    Primark’s Hair & Body Mists
    Fragrances

The fragrances that I found in my local store were:

Rio Romance – Pear & Amber

Capri Coast – Jasmine & Brown Sugar

Fiji Fiesta – Apple & Coconut

Bali Blush – Pineapple & Sandalwood

All of these fragrances seem perfect for summer wearing. Fruity, tropical and sweet scents is what many people like to use during warmer weather. And these fragrance types tick that box.

Primark’s Bali Blush Hair & Body Mist
    Packaging

Each fragrance comes in a plastic, spray topped bottle that is clear but coloured: red, purple, green and pink. I’m not sure if it’s the bottle that’s coloured or the fragrance itself, but the products stand out and are eye catching. I can see why they’re popular. Very simple in look but overall decent packaging as they will appeal to different age ranges but definitely the younger ones.

Primark’s Rio Romance Hair & Body Mist
    How do they smell?

I managed to have a cheeky sniff of one, although can’t remember which! The one I smelt was fruity, sweet and tropical. Very pleasant, nothing incredible but did the job of a nice smelling body mist.

Primark’s Fiji Fiesta Hair & Body Mist
    Price

Each hair and body mist is 100ml and costs £3.50. This is reasonably priced. But if you’re looking for more fragrance and/or fragrance that costs less, there are plenty which offer slightly better value e.g Aldi, Home Bargains and Lidl. But the size and shape of this fragrance makes it a good size to carry and use on the go. I find some on the market are too big and bulky to slip into a pocket, so this is a happy medium.

Primark’s Capri Coast Hair & Body Mist
    Will I buy these?

I’m not sure. All of the fragrances appeal to me, and the mists aren’t expensive. I would be curious to see if they bring out scents geared towards autumn and winter in the next few months. Possibly then I would try them out!

  • New So…? Body Mists in Superdrug

Body mists are a great way for people to fragrance themselves. Available everywhere, lots of brands and scents to choose from and can be very affordable to purchase. These are the reasons I like to use and buy them, not only for myself but for my teenage daughter too. My latest purchase was a selection of So…? body mists, in new fragrances, from the store Superdrug. So what did I buy and why?

New So…? Body Mists in Superdrug
    Fragrances

I bought 4 body mists in total. Chocolate Milkshake, Vanilla Milkshake, Caramel Cookies and Boba Licious.

    Vanilla Milkshake Body Mist
    Why these?

Firstly, these are new fragrances. But more importantly these are the types of fragrances I like. Sweet smelling, almost bakery or confectionery like, are the types of scents I’ve always enjoyed. With these being on a special price promotion it made these new releases just that little bit more affordable so I could try them out. It also helps that my daughter has a similar taste in scents and fragrances to me, so win win.

    Chocolate Milkshake Body Mist
    How do they smell?

Chocolate Milkshake smells like a mix of milk chocolate and florals. Vanilla Milkshake I would say has the same sort of scent as the chocolate version but, of course, more vanilla based. Caramel Cookies reminds me of the scent of caramelised biscuits, LITERALLY! And Boba Licious is quite a fruity fragrance. Very summery, energising and effervescent.

    Caramel Cookies Body Mist

I can honestly say I would be happy to wear any of these. These are my types of fragrances scent wise and each one smells so good, especially Caramel Cookies. I can also see the potential of layering as I think they would work well combined.

    Boba-Licious Body Mist
    Thoughts?

These 4 new So…? body mists from Superdrug is what I expect from the brand. Fun, fragrant and modern. Not taking itself too seriously and really delivering fragrances that people will love if they like this type of fragrance family. I was going to give my daughter one or two of these but I’m tempted to keep them all, that’s how much I like them! So on first impressions and sniff test, these get the thumbs up. Cost? £3.99 for 100ml, but at time of purchase they were on promotion for £2.35 (using Superdrug’s loyalty card). Available in store and online.
