  • 29p Gel Mask From Home Bargains, Any Good?

I love skincare, but I don’t have the time to indulge in it the way I used to. My life is full of to do lists, so skin and body care needs to be done easily, relatively quickly and can be slotted into my routine without really noticing it. So when I found a mask in Home Bargains that seemed quick, easy and cheap, I had to try it out! So how did Que Bella’s 1% Hyaluronic Acid Gel Mask perform at a cost of 29p?

What does this mask supposed to do?

This mask is designed to help skin that is lined, wrinkled and dry. Suitable for all skin types, but should make the skin look and feel smoother, softer, moisturised and healthier.

    Packaging

Que Bella’s 1% Hyaluronic Acid Gel Mask comes in a sachet. Very basic in look, is supposed to be easy to open and use (rip in corner allows mask to be poured out). What I like about how this is packaged is it’s perfect for a one time use. Easy to travel with because of size and is flat, and doesn’t scream a certain age or sex with how it looks.

    Consistency & texture

This mask is clear, gel like but quite fluid. Not particularly thick but easy to apply and not too runny.

    How to use

Apply to clean skin. Either leave on or rinse off.

    In use

I put the sachet in the fridge for extra cooling. Pouring it out of the sachet was more trouble than what it was worth. It didn’t pour, it needed to be teased and pushed out of the sachet. So much easier for it to rip open or cut like any other sachet packaging.

There was plenty of mask for one if not two applications. Very easy to spread onto the skin. Very cooling and not too heavy. I could tell there was something on my face, and to look at it my skin it looked shiny. But overall the mask felt very comfortable on.

I didn’t rinse this off, I left it on overnight. The following morning I washed my face as usual. Although I could tell there was something on my face it was easy and quick to wash off. Skin afterwards didn’t feel dry. Looked as it normally does, felt reasonably fresh. I didn’t feel this mask performed amazingly but didn’t perform badly either. It was just ok. No changes I could see, for the good or the bad, but was a few minutes of pampering.

    Recommended?

It’s a very basic formulation for a mask. I don’t think anyone would be wowed by this, but for a super cheap little skin treat it could be worse. It could be bright red and smell of synthetic strawberries and make you itch! For most people this will be absolutely fine. If you’re wanting a brand new face and amazing results, don’t buy this. If you want no fuss, no frills pampering, give it a go!

  • New in Tesco! Face Facts Ceramide Blemish Skincare Range

If you suffer from specific skin concerns and are trying out different products to see what works, it can be expensive and time consuming. Having budget friendly brands really helps when needing to change skincare routines and also to maintain them and repurchase if they do work. I mentioned in a previous post that an affordable brand called Face Facts is now in Tesco. They have different products available for different skin issues, including their Blemish range. So what is there to purchase for oily skin and how much does the products cost?

Face Facts Ceramide Skin Barrier Complex Blemish Range
Why is this range of products good for blemish prone skin?

This selection of products contains ingredients which help to unclog pores, remove excess oil from the skin and also provides a form of exfoliation (salicylic acid, niacinamide). Fragrance free, so great for sensitive skin, and products are also vegan friendly.

    Blemish Clarifying Foaming Cleanser

Deeply cleanses the skin of grime, dirt and impurities, without being too harsh and drying the skin out. £5.00 for 400ml.

    Blemish Clarifying Foaming Cleanser
    Blemish Gel Moisturiser

A light weight moisturiser that is designed to not only moisturise, but strengthen the skin barrier and provide a more matt looking finish to a normally oily skin. £2.00 for 50ml.

    Blemish Gel Moisturiser
    Blemish Treatment Gel

A spot treatment that can be used directly onto blemishes that helps calm and treat these areas. This spot treatment should help minimise the look and feel of these blemishes. £2.00 for 15ml.

    Blemish Treatment Gel
So who would these products be good for?

The first set of people that come to mind is teenagers. Typically with hormone changes their skin can be oily, congested and spotty. But anyone can suffer from these problems at various stages in life for lots of different reasons. So if skin appears blemished and shiny, this could be for them.

If you were to purchase all three of these products it would only cost £9.00! Great value and currently available at Tesco in store (store specific) and online.

  • Simple Skincare Products In Farmfoods Under £2.00!

Skincare for most of us is part of our everyday routine. We all want different things from the products we put on our face, which means it’s great to have a variety of different brands on the market. One brand that is a regular in my household is Simple. The brand gears towards people who want or/and need products that are effective, affordable, but more importantly contain or leave out ingredients for more sensitive skin. That’s why it was great to see a small selection of their products in my local Farmfoods store at lower prices compared to other places on the high street. So what did I find?
