Like some of the skincare products reduced in price in my local Aldi, I’ve also found some of their home fragrance products reduced as well! Both of these lines came into store at the same time, and probably on their way out to make way for Christmas and Winter related items. So if you’re looking for some home fragrance products for your home, or for gifting, this is what I recently found in my store:
Home Fragrance Products Reduced In Aldi
Reed Diffusers
I spotted two fragrances available, with one being Glow Up. Glow Up’s fragrance sounded appealing, as it consisted of citrus, neroli, sandalwood and vanilla. Nicely packaged, doesn’t scream a particular season which is good for generic gifting. Originally was £3.99 down to £2.99.
Glow Up Reed Diffuser
Candles
These candles were in the same fragrances as the reed diffusers, but I only spotted Glow Up and Sweet Dreams. Sweet Dreams being more relaxing in feel with scents of lavender, geranium and rose. Boxed, stylish in look and down from £3.99 to £2.99.
Sweet Dreams Candle
Tealights
There were a few different fragrances available in these tealights when they first dropped in my local store, but only Toasted Marshmallow Fireside was available to purchase most recently. Very much an Autumn/Winter fragrance and nicely packaged. Down from £2.49 to £1.99.
Toasted Marshmallow Fireside Scented Tealights
Bubble Candle
Not fragranced, but the Bubble Candle is a great eye catching shape! Fun, quite sizeable and something interesting to look at. Down from £1.99 to 99p.
Bubble Candle
Pumpkin Shaped Wax Candles
Containing 3 x 150g orange coloured pumpkin shaped candles, this set is definitely for the Autumn lovers and those who like Autumn decorations. Not fragranced but very cute in look. Down from £3.49 to £1.99.
Pumpkin Shaped Candle Set
What’s available stock wise may vary in each store. So always worth keeping your eyes open if any of these home fragrance products appeal to you, especially at these prices!
There is something special about fragrancing my home during a colder season. It’s the perfect time to hibernate, so I want my home to feel as cosy as possible, and fragrance helps. One of my favourite ways to fragrance my home is using wax melts. And I have A LOT of wax melts! I have been very good not buying any over the last few months, but I was gifted a Fresh Favourites Wax Melt Collection by Square One Scents from a customer in my place of work a few weeks ago.
Square One Scents Fresh Favourites Collection
Why was I given this?
When you’ve worked in the same place for a few years and it’s open to the public (retail), you get to know your customers and they get to know you too. One particular customer, like me, has a slight addiction to wax melts. Her last wax melt spendathon was in a small makers market and she bought me these because she thought I would like them.
What’s included in Fresh Favourites Collection?
2 small squares of 8 different fragrances, which are:
Cucumber & Sea Salt
Coconut & Waterfall Blooms
Crisp Cotton
Sea Salt & Vanilla
Sea Salt & Citrus
Long Hot Soak
Pixie Dust
Dove
Packaging
16 mini wax melts come in a clear, plastic ‘case’. If you are a buyer of wax melts, you will be familiar with this type of packaging. I love how you can see the wax melts clearly, so you know what you are getting. The corresponding scent names (and relevant ingredient info) is on the back.
What do these look like?
These are small but perfectly formed square pieces of wax. Although the bottom of these are flat, the top isn’t, and they come in at a point in the centre. Each pair of fragranced wax melts are a particular colour (all pastel shades) and finished off with a sprinkle of glitter. These are so simple in appearance but absolutely stunning!
The Scents
Opening up this selectin of wax melts gave me a preview what to expect. Once opened I got a whiff of clean, fresh, laundry-esq type smells hitting my nostrils which I loved! But individually the 8 fragrances are quite different.
Cucumber & Sea Salt-a little earthy in a plant type of way with a touch of saltiness. Quite an interesting scent and very fresh.
Coconut & Waterfall Blooms-this has a toned down, less sweet coconut fragrance to it but still gives off slight tropical vibes. Again, with some earthy, plant like notes to it.
Crisp Cotton-clean, crisp, fresh, almost soap like in scent. If you head towards any wax product with the word cotton in it and you want a simple but classic fragrance, this would be THAT one!
Sea Salt & Vanilla-probably more sea salt than vanilla because the vanilla is in the background. This makes the scent more delicate and less sickly than traditional vanilla included fragrances, but retains a little of the sweetness.
Sea Salt & Citrus-what a combo! Less zest, more fresh and clean lemon citrus without it being sharp or sweety like. The sea salt element, like the vanilla version, tones things down a little in a good way and gives it more depth.
Long Hot Soak-I’m not too sure what exactly this is supposed to smell like but it’s making me think of a lightly mineral fragranced bubble bath, probably for men. It’s not heady. Reminds me of soap (again) but with minerals or/and a hint of something else such as an aromatherapy oil.
Pixie Dust-slightly powdery floral. Quite feminine and subtle.
Dove-we all know what this smells like, surely? This smells like a Dove bar of soap. Clean, fresh, powdery, comforting.
Cucumber & Sea Salt
In Melt
I haven’t had time to melt each of the fragrances available in this collection. But I have enjoyed the fragrant delights of Cucumber & Sea Salt and Coconut & Waterfall Blooms. I used both of the 2 wax melts for each scent and popped them into wax melters. I did worry how strong a scent these would be because they aren’t the most punchy of fragrances, but my fears were put to one side quite quickly. They both melted evenly creating the most gorgeous looking, shimmering wax pools. More importantly the fragrances released were slow and filled each room so naturally and beautifully, it was a joy to smell.
Strength & Longevity
Strength for both was medium. This suited both of these scents so well because any stronger they could have been very heady and overpowering. Longevity is good. Both have been melting for many hours over 2 days and their scent and strength was consistent throughout.
Coconut & Waterfall Blooms

I’m so glad I was introduced to this vendor because I’m really enjoying these wax melts. I love how they look and how are they shaped. Great size, practical presentation and the scents are fantastic. Overall these are fantastic quality.
So, if you fancy having a little splurge for yourself or for someone else (hint hint Christmas!), this Fresh Favourites Collection retails for £8.50 and available to buy here. There are other collections of waxy goodies available, other home fragrance products AND bath and body products too!
What people like fragrance wise is a very personal thing. One of the fragrance types I like are sweet inspired scents. I LOVE them! So I was very happy to receive a selection of wax melts gifted by wax vendor Fragrantasia, which included Cotton Candy. So was it as good as I had hoped?
Fragrantasia’s Cotton Candy Wax Melt
How did it look?
Fragrantasia’s Cotton Candy Wax Melt came in a small, light pink flower shape. Chunky and thick but ideal to pop in whole into a wax warmer. No cutting or snapping, just use and go!

Fragrance
This particular wax melt has a sugary sweet scent to it, with hints of creamy vanilla and strawberries mixed into it. If you think of what cotton candy the fluffy sweet smells like, it’s very similar to this. Gorgeous!
In melt
This wax melt melted slowly and evenly, leaving a soft pink coloured wax pool. The scent I could smell straight away while it warmed through, and was exactly the same scent as it was before melting.
Strength & Longevity
Strength wise this is a medium. I melted this in my kitchen and it filled this small space perfectly. It made it feel cosy, inviting and smelt beautiful. This was melting for over two days for at least 5 hours per day, with the scent still present. Cotton Candy Wax Melt only got changed because I wanted a different scent from a different piece of wax, not because the scent had disappeared. So not only great in strength but lasted well too.

If you love your sweet inspired scents you will love this. It smells so good, literally mouth watering, but not sickly sweet or synthetic in smell. Very cute in look, great strength and longevity and this size of wax melt retails for only £1.00!
As a wax melt lover, I enjoy discovering new wax vendors to buy from. I’m very lucky to know many people who can recommend various small businesses who make and sell great quality wax. Scents From 77 was recommended to me to purchase from. My first purchase contained various wax melts including Vanilla & Berries. This cost £2.00 for 6 mini wax melts.
Scents From 77 Vanilla & Berries Mini Wax Melts
Why did I buy this?
Scents From 77 sell wax in various forms, but I love wax shapes and mini melts. No cutting or chopping required, easy to store away in a drawer and the ideal structure to mix scents if and when needed when melting. This particular scent I went for because I LOVE vanilla and fruity scents so this seemed a winning combination.
How do these look?
This pack contained 6 small mini melts shaped like basic flowers. Creamy off white in colour with tiny dots of blue and pink running through them. Simple but pretty.
Fragrance
Delicious! The vanilla provides warmth, creaminess and is very soothing. The berry element is sweet but not sickly, and of course smells fruity and mouthwatering.
In melt
I melted three of these in my electric Yankee Candle wax warmer They melted very quickly but evenly, so the scent was released superfast and filled the room well.
Strength & Longevity
This poor fragrance has had to battle against various meals cooked as it was melting away in my kitchen, but it stood it’s ground against food smells. Strength has been light to medium, with longevity good considering three of these have been melting on and off for a few days.

For a vanilla lover this is a must! It’s a beautiful fragrance with a slightly fruity twist to it. So vanilla fans, bakery and fruit lovers give this a whirl as it’s delicious. Good quality wax, perfect strength for the scent and longevity is great. And for £2.00 to get 6 mini melts is a great price and very competitive.
