  • Smoothie Skincare Products In Home Bargains Under £3.00!

Many years ago, I used to be a bit of a skincare snob. The cheaper skincare products on the market I assumed would be poor quality because of their low price point. But I’ve discovered over time this isn’t always the case, and I’m open minded to skincare products that are more affordable. What’s an important fact is not everyone wants or can afford to buy more pricey products. A budget friendly range of skincare products called Smoothie in Home Bargains, has caught my eye for awhile now and no doubt other shoppers too. So what’s included in this collection and how much does each product cost?

    Big Mood Face Serum

It doesn’t mention fully what this serum is targeting skincare problem wise, but the packaging does say it ‘calms’ skin. So possibly geared towards problematic skin, but does say it should leave skin feeling and looking smooth. £2.99 for 50ml.

    Is this range a dupe?

I can’t comment on the ingredients but packaging wise this makes me think of Bubble. The colouring, even how the name Smoothie is positioned on the packaging is similar to Bubble.

    What do I think?

This range of products is very eye catching thanks to the colour and shape of the packaging. Is it geared towards someone who is older in age? I don’t think so. More for under 25’s, at least definitely teens. This range seems quite generic in regards to it not targeting specific skin types e.g blemish prone, dry, aged, which can be seen as a good or bad thing. What I did like was how each product is fragrance free, which is a must for me when it comes to what I use on my face. Fragrance can be irritating. It can make skin issues (e.g hyperpigmentation) worse, and some people don’t just don’t want it in products! Not essential for all but a want for some.

Price point is affordable, which many people want and need which really gives this a thumbs up. So if you wanted something simple product wise this may tick the box.

  • New in Tesco! Face Facts Ceramide Skin Barrier Skincare Range!

Who doesn’t love an affordable skincare brand, especially if it contains good quality products within it? Skincare, as I always say, can be as cheap or as expensive as you want because you can get great products from either price points. This is why I really like the brand Face Facts. Good selection of products for different skin types and concerns, products (I’ve tried one) that actually work, all at affordable prices. Finding their Ceramide range in my local Tesco was an unexpected treat as it seemed to stock a full skincare routine. What did I find?

    Firstly, what’s this range about?

The ceramide products are designed to help maintain, strengthen and protect the skin barrier. Ideal for dry and sensitive skin, so effective but gentle formulas. Containing ceramides and hyaluronic acid (protects and keeps moisture in the skin), glycerin (moisturising) and oats (soothing). Plus this range is vegan friendly and fragrance free.

    Face Facts Hydrating Gentle Cleanser
    Ceramide Repairing Serum

A light weight serum to use on top of freshly cleansed skin. Honestly? I’m not too sure what this serum really is designed for but can only assume it’s another moisture giver and skin protecting product. 30ml for £2.00.

    Face Facts Repairing Serum Cream
    Ceramide Replenishing Eye Cream

Using a pea sized amount on clean under eyes, this eye cream should be hydrating but not heavy, great for tired and sensitive under eyes. 15ml for £2.00.

    Face Facts Replenishing Eye Cream
    Ceramide Moisturising Gel Cream

Moisturising, light weight and soothing gel cream which will compliment other products from the range. Another product created to help keep the moisture in the skin and protect it at the same time. 50ml for £2.00.

    Thoughts?

As someone who loves the idea of skincare products that are gentle on the skin, fragrance free and containing nourishing and soothing ingredients, I can’t help but like this brand. Do they look slightly familiar packaging wise to a well known skincare brand? Yes they do! (dupe alert!). But it doesn’t change the fact this range has good products in it at exceptionally great prices. Cleanser, serum, eye cream and moisturiser, all full sizes for a total of £11.00?? SOLD!
