  • Delivery! New Wax Melts From Home of Honey Candle Co

Its not hard to guess a delivery of wax melts. Before a delivery person hands over the package you can SMELL it 5 feet away! And that’s why I knew my latest parcel contained wax melts. The wax melts in question were gifted by UK wax vendor Home of Honey Candle Co and is a mix of various shapes and fragrances. So what was included?

  • Autumn & Winter Scented Wax Melts By Home of Honey

Do I have a favourite season for using home fragrance? Autumn and Winter are my favourite times. I spend more time at home wanting to feel snug and cosy, and home fragrance products help to maintain that vibe. Autumn and Winter scents tend to be more richer, heavier, and spicier than scents geared towards Spring and Summer, and I love it! So having a package of wax melts kindly sent to me by wax vendor Home of Honey Candle Co, filled with these types of fragrances, was a welcomed delivery. So what wax melts did I receive?

Home of Honey’s Autumn & Winter Scented Wax Melts
    Fragrances

These wax melts scream Autumn and Winter! A great mix of fragrances which are traditional and well known for these seasons. So very much tried, tested and loved. They would appeal to the majority of people, that’s why they are popular in general. I received:

Caramel Pumpkin, Golden Autumn, Cinnamon & Vanilla, Apple Spice, Vanilla Bean Noel, Candy Cane and 12 Days of Christmas.

12 Days of Christmas Wax Melts
What type of wax melts are these?

All of these wax melts, except one, come in a wax melt snap bar. Long and rectangular, and you snap off how much you want to use and melt. 12 Days of Christmas is a selection of individual wax melt shapes. No need for snapping, just put directly into your wax warmer and go!

Apple Spice Wax Melt Snap Bar
    How do they look?

Each wax melt snap bar, although shaped the same, look different. All have a creamy base colour to them, but each have embedded on the front different coloured glitter that nicely reflects the fragrance.

Caramel Pumpkin is covered in a mix of red and gold glitter. Golden Autumn is gold. Cinnamon & Vanilla is gold with iridescent shards on the top. Apple Spice green. Vanilla Bean Noel is multiple glitter all in pastel shades. Candy Cane festive red. And finally, each wax melt is coloured differently (pink, orange, yellow, blue, cream etc) in 12 Days of Christmas Part 1, but no glitter visible that I can see.

Candy Cane Wax Melt Snap Bar

The wax melt snap bars are all in clear sleeves finished off with white bows, which is very cute. 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 wax melts are housed in a large, clear plastic case finished off also with a ribbon. On the front each of the scents of the wax melts are mentioned. What I like about the labels on these wax melts is the Autumn scented ones have a pumpkin on the label and the Winter/Christmas ones have trees on them. Such a lovely idea and good attention to detail.

    First impressions?

Beautifully presented and packaged. The wax melts themselves look so good you want to melt them immediately and from what I can smell with some of these (not opened them all yet), they smell as good as they look! Great mix of fragrances, all perfectly themed for the seasons, easy to use wax melt forms. What is there not to love so far?

To purchase Home of Honey’s wax melt snap bars, they only cost £2.50 and come in a variety of fragrances. 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 costs £8.99 which is great value for 12 differently fragranced wax melts. If the seasonal wax melts aren’t what you are looking for, there are plenty of other fragrance types and wax melt shapes on the website to purchase here.

  • My Experience of Wax Melts From Home Of Honey

There are lots and LOTS of places you can buy wax melts. Supermarkets, discount stores, everywhere. But my favourite way to buy wax melts is direct from wax melt vendors. Their range of fragrances, shapes, sizes and forms are the most imaginative and creative wax you will ever see, and still quite affordable! Here is a lowdown of wax melt products I’ve used from wax vendor Home of Honey. All gifted, many used for every day home fragrancing, so what are they like?

    Shapes

I love different shapes in wax melts, and Home of Honey gave me lots of different wax melts in a variety of sizes and shapes. From the traditional wax melt snap bar, wax melt pot, small faceted hearts, cloud shapes, crumble. So many different forms with each being easy to use and great on the eyes.

    Opium Goddess Wax Melts
    Colours

What I like about the colouring of Home of Honey’s wax melts is they are all quite subtle. Beautiful colours, nothing garish, all incredibly pretty with a few that really give the WOW factor. Many pieces finished off with a touch of glitter makes them even more special to look at.

    Fragrances

A good wax vendor will sell wax melts of varied fragrance types, and Home of Honey is no exception. Floral, laundry, bakery, perfume inspired, I got a chance to try them all! Mint Choc Chip Wax Melt Brittle was mouth watering. Rose Wonderland was a great mix of floral and fruit and Opium Goddess has that expensive, perfume quality to it. Gorgeous!

English Pear & Freesia Wax Melt Brittle
    Strength & Longevity

All of the wax melts I’ve used from Home of Honey have been medium in strength. To start off with they’ve been quite light (on the whole), but grown and became more obvious as they’ve melted through. All of them have lasted well longevity wise and I’ve had the chance to use each one for many hours at a time.

Prices are varied but all affordable. Starting from 50p for sample sizes which is ideal to try a scent out you might not be sure about. Wax melt snap bars are £2.50. I’ve been lucky enough to try lots of different wax melts from Home of Honey. I’ve enjoyed everything about them and found them to provide great home fragrance experiences. Being affordable makes wax melt purchases very easy and less of a special occasion buy and more an everyday item to use. So yes, recommended. • Perfume Inspired Home of Honey’s Opium Goddess Wax Melts

The variety of scents, shapes and colours of the wax melts I was gifted by wax vendor Home of Honey has been impressive! Each one has been very eye catching look wise, easy and fun to use. That’s what made me use Opium Goddess Wax Melts next because of how they appeared. So what are they like?

Home of Honey’s Opium Goddess Wax Melts
    Packaging

Opium Goddess Wax Melts came in a white, large, sachet. A large clear window on the front lets you see what’s inside. But the packaging keeps everything safe and secure and looks good too!

    How do they look?

What I loved about these wax melts was two things. The colours used and the shapes. Half the wax melts were cream and the other black. Black wax melts isn’t something I see too often, unless it’s Halloween inspired, so I thought that was interesting. The shapes of Opium Goddess were varied. Clouds, strawberries, bars of chocolate, ducks. A very random mixed bag of shapes but I loved it!

    Fragrance

This has a perfume like scent to it but it’s not strong. Floral, but softly floral. A little powdery with a hint of musk. It’s not a punchy scent but it’s really nice and understated in a good way.

    In melt

Seeing the two contrasting colours merge together was great to witness. The size of the melts made them go from solid to molten very quickly, and left a dark purple wax pool behind.

    Strength & Longevity

Honestly? I was worried about these wax melts. When I smelt them before using them I got the scent but it was so light. When melting them (I used about 4/5 wax melts), the fragrance was more noticeable and I would say the strength is light to medium. I normally love powerful wax melts (this isn’t), but there’s something very comforting about how these smell and sit in a room. This is the ideal strength for these wax melts. Longevity is pretty good. I’ve melted the same wax for a few days and the fragrance was still there.

    Recommended?

I really like Opium Goddess Wax Melts! The shapes of them and the colours, it’s very different. The fragrance is a no brainer for me because I like these types of scents so immediately enjoyed it. What I also liked was how unassuming the scent was when used in a room, but was still noticeable. So if you like your wax to look a little quirky, and for your fragrance to to be a part of a room and not overpower it, Opium Goddess Wax Melts could be for you.
