  • Did Neom’s Overnight Facial Cream Help My Tired Skin?

My skin is rubbish at the moment. It’s not spotty or has an uneven skin tone, it’s just tired! Lacklustre and a little bit dull is how I would describe it. Hay fever has hit me hard from the outside in and my face is showing it. So I decided to head into my skincare stash and give Neom’s Perfect Night’s Sleep Overnight Facial Cream a go hoping for some kind of result. Gifted to me by a friend, this would normally cost £12.00 for 10ml.

    Why did I use this?

I’ve used a few products from Neom including their Uplifting Hand Balm. There’s a sense of quality from the products I’ve used. They serve a purpose, but do you know what else they do? Pamper! They pamper, thanks to their fragrances and textures and this is what I needed. Something to give my skin a quick fix but also to enjoy using this product at the same time.

What is this supposed to do?

This is designed to be an overnight facial in cream form. The skin should be left feeling and looking moisturised, revitalise tired looking skin thanks to it containing ingredients such as ceramides, hyaluronic acid and cica.

    Packaging

Neom’s Perfect Night’s Sleep Overnight Facial Cream comes in a bigger size so packaging may vary. But this 10ml size comes in a small, screw top plastic tube. Cream in colour, simple yet very elegant in design like the rest of the products from this brand. It screams luxury to me.

    Ingredients

Ingredients include cica, ceramide, magnesium, aloe vera, rosehip oil and basbussa oil.

    Fragrance & Texture

The first thing I get is lavender. It’s prominent but not too strong. There’s a plant like smell to this overall but more aromatherapy like rather than foliage. It’s pleasant, but not for those who don’t like lavender.

Texture is typical cream like. Off white in colour, smooth and with a decent thickness to it.

    How to use

Use this like any other night time cream, over cleansed skin. Ideally Neom suggest to use this in conjunction with their facial oil.

    In Use

I used about a finger tip’s worth of Overnight Facial Cream, and lightly rubbed it in. It rubbed in so easily and my skin literally drunk it up! It had a slight waxy feel to it and it felt a little thicker than a day cream which I liked. My skin felt moisturised and protected, but the cream wasn’t heavy on the skin and didn’t leave me shiny.

The fragrance was to die for! Before I applied this I breathed in the fragrance which made using this enjoyable. What I did notice though was the fragrance didn’t linger on my skin. It was there but not overpowering.

    The morning after night before

I looked at my skin the next day and I can honestly say it looked better. It looked fresher and smoother. I ignored my eye area (my eyes still look like death!) but the rest of my skin looked really good. I’m really good at moisturising so most of the time I will wake up and my skin is rarely dry. My skin after using this was the same as usual. Normal, matt but just looked a little better compared to other mornings.

    Recommended?

As a product, this did EXACTLY what it was meant to do. My skin looked fresher and better after use. But what was equally as good was how much I enjoyed using this! It took seconds to apply this, but the texture and the fragrance gave me a few seconds of pampering. Would I recommend this? Oh yes…love it! BUT let’s not ignore the fact this isn’t a cheap product. 10ml is £12.00 and 50ml is £44 so not budget friendly but a total treat for the skin. If I purchased this myself, I would keep an eye out for special priced promotions from this brand and buy this product in a collection to save myself some money.

This can be purchased instore and online from various retailers, including direct from Neom themselves.

  • A Touch of Luxury. Neom’s Uplifting Hand Balm

If someone was to ask me what my go to product was at the moment, I would say it’s a hand cream/balm. It’s a hand care product I use when my hands are suffering, dry and feeling tight, which they are right now. I have different products on rotation but I’ve just added to the mix Neom‘s Uplifting Hand Balm. This was a gift from a friend last Christmas and retails for £10.00 for 30ml.

    Neom’s Uplifting Hand Balm
Why did I start using this?

My hands NEED some extra TLC at the moment. We are in the throws of winter in the UK and it’s showing on my hands. When I was given this last year in all honesty I didn’t need to use it. This year is different and despite using other products, I really wanted to use this and see if this could deliver something more than what I was currently getting.

    What is this?

This is a Shea butter rich hand product which contains natural fragrances. Not only is it aromatic, but designed to be moisturising and skin softening too.

    Packaging

30m of hand balm comes in a cream coloured plastic flip topped tube. Very simple in look with black text on front and back. Rather than it screaming boring it says to me this is simple chic! Some of the more expensive products out there are packaged in a very basic way and this is one of them.

    Texture

This is a little thicker than a standard hand cream, and this is why it’s called a balm. White in colour, holds it shape when released from the tube.

    Fragrance

I have never smelt anything like this before! You get a fresh, slightly herbal mint scent come through which smells true to life. Underneath it is a hint of citrus but not zesty or sweet, it just adds to the freshness already given by the mint. This fragrance is incredible! Very unusual and very natural in smell. This isn’t a scent everyone will like because it’s so different. But I think the majority of people will.

    In use

I didn’t need to use much of this, just a pea sized amount. The luxurious texture of this looked appealing but it’s thickness didn’t stop it rubbing into my hands easily. As I rubbed this in it felt very moisturising, had a slip to it and left my hands feeling very soft and smooth. There was a slight shine left on my hands but they didn’t look greasy. They looked more alive, less ashy and hydrated.

But can I talk about how this smells? The scent of this isn’t overwhelming which aromatherapy type scents can be. It’s just the right strength and it’s incredibly intoxicating. I can smell this while applying this balm and a good while after. You want to embrace the smell, you want to sniff your hands constantly. It’s energising and relaxing all at the same time.

    Recommended?

Let’s not beat around the bush, this isn’t cheap! But if I was to have a little splurge I would with this hand balm. It smells divine, it moisturises well and do you know what? I ENJOY using this! And this is what makes it worth it. Would I recommend this if you are on a tight budget? No, it doesn’t make sense. If you wanted to treat yourself or someone else with something special I would have a look at this product. In fact, this has made me want to look at their whole range because there is definitely something special about this. So my question is does that follow through the rest of the brand?

This can be purchased from different retailers including Neom direct, Marks and Spencer and Sephora.
