Skin Saints is a brand I’ve kept my eye on for awhile. First, it was their skincare. Then, I was intrigued by their fragrances, and now their body care products are on my radar. The latest product I’ve noticed on sale is their shower whips. So what’s available and how much do they cost?
Skin Saints Shower Whips
Fragrances
3 fragrances are available. These shower whips come in:
Cherry Bomb
Apricot Blush
Pineapple Sorbet
These three fragrances are perfect for spring and summer use. All fruity with hints of floral, all sweet and all sound like fun!
Apricot Blush Shower Whip
Packaging
Very similar to a lot of shower whips/shower foams available on the market. This comes in a canister, colour wise pastel shades, very basic but still attractive.
Who would like this?
Those who want a more pampering shower experience. If you love different textures with body care products this might be for you. And those with dry skin, as these formulations should be non-stripping and moisture giving, might be a must to purchase!
Garnieris a skin and body care brand used and trusted by many. Their products are available everywhere, massive variety of different creams, serums, masks and body products. Price point? Varies. Not the cheapest of brands but definitely not the most expensive. And if you shop around, you can grabGarnierproducts at affordable prices, depending on where bought and the promotions at the time. One of their newer products that has been released on the market, and available from the high street is their Sorbet Creams. So what are these?
Garnier’s Sorbet Creams
What’s a sorbet cream?
Garnier’s Sorbet Creams are designed to be hydrating but light weight thanks to it’s unusual texture. Sinks into the skin quickly and easily and not greasy, oily or heavy in feel or look on the skin.
Different versions?
This cream comes in three different versons:
Vitamin C Fresh & Bright
Contains niacinamide and Vitamin C, which helps brighten the skin and improve and even out skin tone.
Garnier’s Vitamin C Fresh & Bright Sorbet Cream
Hyaluron Fresh & Plump

Garnier’s Hyaluron Fresh & Plump Sorbet Cream
Salicylic Fresh & Matte
Contains, salicylic acid, niacinamide and centella asiatica. These ingredients help to combat oiliness, blemishes, keeps skin hydrated and soothe if irritated.
Garnier’s Salicylic Fresh & Matte Sorbet Cream
Packaging
Each formulation comes in a small, brightly coloured plastic pot. Each colour helping the customer to recognise what range these products belong in e.g Vitamin C sorbet slots into the Vitamin C range. Very modern, very simple and very different from their usual packaging of products. They stand out on the shelf.
Price
These sorbet creams can be found in most places on the high street with slightly varying price. Currently in Home Bargains for £4.99 and Superdrugfor £5.00. Everywhere else is priced at £7.50 (50ml).
Thoughts?
The everyday price for the products is fair, although £4.99 even better! I like the fact there are 3 different formulations for different skin concerns. But I don’t feel these cover all skin types or problems. So clearly this product is for a more specific group of people and not for everyone. I like the sound of texture of this product. But reading reviews about these being fragranced, having them being called a ‘sorbet’, personally I find off putting. If this was for the body, I would be more than happy. For the face? No. Having a fragrance free version might change my mind but then it wouldn’t fall into the ‘sorbet’ camp would it?
Would I purchase any of these products? No. How these look and are marketed is so left field from Garnier. As a brand, are they taking too much inspiration (not necessarily in a good way) from more modern, ‘trendy’ brands? There will be lots of people who will love these sorbets (probably under the age of 30), but not for me.
Who doesn’t love a body mist? Most of us, men and women, have some form of body mist in our bag, pocket, desk drawer or car. It’s a cheap and easy why to smell nice and freshen ourselves up. For me, body mists need to be affordable. I don’t use them in the same way as an actual perfume. I’m heavy handed, spray like a manic and regularly. The price of whatever mist I’m using needs to be reasonably low. So it was nice to see a body mist brand I use often, So…?, have some new fragrances available inSuperdrug. So what did I find?
New So…? Body Mists in Superdrug!
Fragrances
4 different fragrances available, all seem drink inspired, which I loved! Coco de Mango, Matcha Macadamia, Iced Vanilla Latte and Cherry Bubbles. Coco de Mango I imagine having a tropical smell to it. Fruity, sweet with a very sunny blend of coconut and mango, which screams summer to me. Matcha Macadamia very much on the matcha trend. Will this have an earthy, nuttiness to it? If that’s the case I don’t think it will be liked by everyone, but will be unique. Iced Vanilla Latte, creamy, comforting vanilla with a dash of coffee. Cherry Bubbles… I’m hoping is sweet, cherry berry like with a fizz to it.
So…? Coco de Mango Body Mist
Packaging
How these body mists are packaged is totally different to other body mists in the So…? range. The bottles are quite chunky, with the widest part at the top and goes in towards the bottom. Typical spray top to release the fragrance. What stood out for me, not only the shape of the bottle, but their colouring. Each one coloured in a way that matches the fragrance name e.g Coco de Mango is orange and Ice Vanilla Latte beige. These stand out, very fun and very different.
So…? Ice Vanilla Latte Body Mist
Size & price
Each body mist is 150ml. I couldn’t find these on Superdrug’swebsite but in my local store were only £2.49, which is great value.
So…? Matcha Macadamia Body Mist
Thoughts?
Affordable, great mix of fragrances which will be perfect for wearing during summer and nicely packaged. Do I want to try these out? Yes I do! Will I buy at least one? Probably, why not? * These are available on So…?’s website, along with other scents available. Price? £4.99 each!
I don’t visit my local Lidl as often as I used to. Purely for the reasons of saving time and money if I’m honest! But I did go in last week to pick up a few items and found they had new body and skincare products available. So what did I find for the body and how much did they cost?
New Body Care Products In Lidl!
D’Avignon Cherry Blossom Body Lotion (Lidl own brand)
This is the product that grabbed my attention first because it’s a L’Occitane en Provence dupe. 250ml of a floral, pretty scented body lotion which includes shea butter (second ingredient in the list so a good percentage included) and glycerin. This is marketed as a fragrant, light weight but moisturising product for the body. £3.99.
Zen Botanics Luxury Handwash
I saw only one fragrance of this hand wash, which was White Tea & Lotus Flower. The fragrance sounds clean, a little zesty but floral as well (bergamot, orange flower and grapefruit). This would be a great scent ready for spring and summer, and comes in a 245ml pump action bottle. £2.99.
Zen Luxury Hand Lotion
Perfect partner to the hand wash, as it comes in White Tea & Lotus and Jujube & Sacred Lotus. Both contain shea butter and glycerin so should be moisturising and protecting on the hands, especially after hand washing. Packaging wise, nicely presented but doesn’t quite match the hand wash in appearance. £2.99 for 195ml.
Price promotions?
Although these are priced very affordably, at the time of writing this post all three of these products were on a buy one get one free promotion, which is amazing! Great way to try new products, gift or to put away for future use.
First impressions?
These seem like a nice range of products. Packaging wise I think the body lotion looks the best, it looks more expensive than it is. The other products look ok but less memorable.
The ingredients are what you would hope for and probably expect from products that cost more e.g shea butter, so good formulations.
Overall, I’m happy to see these products sat on the shelves of Lidl. Would I buy any of these? Probably the body lotion! The scent (one was open I had a sniff!), the packaging and the amount of product were all ticks for me and I might need to go and buy it!
