Skin Saints is a brand I’ve kept my eye on for awhile. First, it was their skincare. Then, I was intrigued by their fragrances, and now their body care products are on my radar. The latest product I’ve noticed on sale is their shower whips. So what’s available and how much do they cost?
Skin Saints Shower Whips
Fragrances
3 fragrances are available. These shower whips come in:
Cherry Bomb
Apricot Blush
Pineapple Sorbet
These three fragrances are perfect for spring and summer use. All fruity with hints of floral, all sweet and all sound like fun!
Apricot Blush Shower Whip
Packaging
Very similar to a lot of shower whips/shower foams available on the market. This comes in a canister, colour wise pastel shades, very basic but still attractive.
Who would like this?
Those who want a more pampering shower experience. If you love different textures with body care products this might be for you. And those with dry skin, as these formulations should be non-stripping and moisture giving, might be a must to purchase!
With a seasonal change comes a change in home fragrance scents. The type of fragrance used in my home isn’t dependant on the time of year. But many of us will switch our scent types when the weather changes. With the sun out and the temperature heating up, I’ve found myself using more fresher, cleaner scents like Home of Honey Candle Co’sUnstoppable Wax Melt Collection. Originally gifted, this collection has been keeping my wax warmer very busy lately. So what is in this collection?
Home of Honey Candle Co’s Unstoppables Wax Melt Collection
The wax
In this collection there are three wax melt snap bars. Each one is in a different fragrance and each coloured differently. One mint green, one pale pink and the other a soft lilac shade. On the back of each you can see they are covered in a liberal dusting of glitter, giving them an added sparkle.
Fragrances
The fragrances included are:
Dreams Unstoppables – fruity, floral, musky scent with a powdery clean smell to it.
Spring Unstoppables – floral, berry fruity scent which is uplifting.
Strength & longevity
These wax melt snap bars perform so well. The strength of these is just what you hope for from laundry inspired scents which is strong. One square of each of the fragrances in this collection packs a punch and fills whatever space it’s being melted in. Longevity is just as good. I’ve only been changing the wax because I want a different fragrance not because the scent has disappeared. Performance wise I have zero complaints!

If you love your laundry scents (who doesn’t?), and you want to experience long lasting clean and fresh scents ,then you need this collection! 3 similar but different fragrances which smell beautiful, look great and nicely packaged. What more can you ask for?

I think of two things when it comes to Spring. One, cleaning and lots of it! Two, new home fragrances. How about combining the two? Well, sort of! Think of the illusion of cleaning through fresh, laundry inspired scents and the scents themselves! This is where Home of Honey Candle Co’s Hinch Collection Wax Melts that I’ve recently been using (gifted) fits in perfectly. So, what are these like?
Hinch Collection Wax Melts by Home of Honey Candle Co
What’s the Hinch Collection?
The Hinch Collection is 3 different fragranced wax melt snap bars inspired by laundry and cleaning products that are fronted by the Queen of Clean, Mrs Hinch! Each wax melt snap bar weighs 50g and is in the fragrances of:
Vacay Vibes
Frosted Eucalyptus
White Musk & Golden Maple
All 3 are housed in a plastic snap clear casing finished off with a white ribbon on the front.
Fragrances
Vacay Vibes has a powdery, fresh, laundry style scent to it but with a touch of juicy fruit, almost peach like. It’s not particularly strong or the main scent in this fragrance so not too fruity, but gives it a true Spring/Summer vibe.
Frosted Eucalyptus, again, has that clean, fresh powdery smell to it. But it’s cooler, crisper and has an earthiness which the other fragrances don’t have.
White Musk & Golden Maple is totally different to the other two fragrances in this collection. It has more of a perfume like style to it rather than laundry. Sweet, a slight muskiness to it, floral, and absolutely gorgeous!
Strength & Longevity
I always think laundry inspired wax melts should be strong and these didn’t fail me! They weren’t eye watering strong but packed a punch. I could smell all three wax melts (of course individually melted!) from other rooms and they really give that instant just clean smell that we all love to have after washing clothes or cleaning in general. Longevity was great. The fragrance remained the same for hours and hours and the wax was only changed because I wanted a different scent.
Are these Mrs Hinch dupes?
I can neither confirm nor deny how accurate these fragrances are to their cleaning and laundry counterparts. I don’t like the idea of being watched by staff as I go around opening bottles and sniffing them on a cleaning aisle, so I couldn’t compare. But what I would say is these are beautifully fragranced, clearly laundry inspired wax melts that go above and beyond typical fragrances in the laundry family.

It’s warming up nicely in the UK this week. It’s making me think of three things. Firstly, I really need to do a massive Spring clean from top to bottom of my house. Secondly, I need a new wardrobe as I have zero clothes that will be a benefit to wear in this weather. And thirdly, I’ve just remembered I have something called feet and I NEED to give them the love and attention that my constant socks and trainers have neglected to give them. So my latest purchases from Aldi have come at the right time! My possible feet saviours come in the form of Lacura’s Exfoliating Foot Scrub and Moisturising Foot Cream.
Aldi’s Lacura Exfoliating Foot Scrub and Moisturising Foot Cream
Why did I buy these?
I swear I only went into the store for milk and bread! I didn’t even take in a carrier bag! But these were positioned close to the front door so my eyes fixed onto them instantly and I knew these were new products. Close inspection revealed these two products were for the feet. And my poor size 7’s need a good pampering right now. I currently have no foot products in my body care stash so these were a necessity.
Lacura’s Exfoliating Foot Scrub
Not only is the scrub designed to exfoliate and remove dead skin, but also to add moisture and smooth the skin on the feet thanks to ingredients such as Shea butter. You know what excites me about this? This is a whopping 300g size! When I opened this up..I gasped! It looks so incredibly rich and inviting, almost a solid balm type texture. The fragrance I think is tea tree, which should leave the feet not only smooth and soft but fragrantly fresh too.
Aldi’s Lacura Exfoliating Foot Scrub
Lacura’s Moisturising Foot Cream
I think this is a dupe of a brand called L’Occitane. L’Occitane are known for having hand and foot products that contain high percentages of Shea butter (which this does have at 15%). Plus the packaging of this has some similarities to L’Occitane’s hand and foot care products. A quick sniff of this indicates this has the same fragrance as the foot scrub, so definitely a marriage made in heaven. This is 125ml in size which is an amazing amount of product and should last a good number of months.

Should these be bought ready for Spring & Summer?
Let’s be honest. Unless you have been super diligent in your body care routine from top to toe, most of us will NEED some form of products for the feet. We want them smooth, soft, supple, moisturised and ready to slip into more open style footwear. So what do we need? Like the rest of our body, to prep it, an exfoliator and a moisturiser, and this dynamic duo are indeed those items. I haven’t tried these yet, but having a look at the textures and ingredients these could be two very good products that should be on your shopping list. And the cost? The Exfoliating Foot scrub for 300ml is £4.99 and the Moisturising Foot Cream is £2.99.
Brilliant value for money. BUT is the quality there and how good are they? Keep your eyes open for a more in depth review on this, it’s coming!
