  • Christmas Stocking Fillers For Under £1.00 in Home Bargains

Now we’ve entered the month of November, lots of people are either starting, in the middle of, or finishing buying Christmas presents for their nearest and dearest. There are certain things though that nobody wants to spend a small fortune on. Whether that’s teacher gifts, stocking fillers or what some people call ‘small wrap ups’. So with a tiny budget of £1.00 in mind, and thinking of bath, body and skincare small gift ideas, here is what I found in my local Home Bargains:

    Gift Republic Bubble Bath Bombs

These bubble bath bombs I’ve seen in Home Bargains look like they could be bar shaped which you break and crumble into the bath. This means you don’t have to use it all in one go. I’ve seen this in two fragrances, which is tropical and sparkling wine scent. Nicely packaged in a small cardboard box, and only 59p each.

    Revolution London’s Make-up Brushes

There’s two make-up brushes I’ve found in Home Bargains from Revolution London. One is an angled powder brush, the other a buffing brush. As someone who doesn’t use make-up the differences between the two are lost on me. But the brushes are large, bright in colour (pink or orange) and only 99p each!

Face Facts Stargazer Steam Eye Mask

This is a pack of 3 self warming eye masks that help to relax the eye area, and aide in relaxation in general. These contain lavender, and appear to be the same shape as an eye mask you wear to go to sleep, so should be easy and comfortable to use. 99p.

7th Heaven’s Wicked Witch, Please Sheet Face Mask

Who doesn’t love the film Wicked? This apple & kiwi sheet mask is budget friendly way of having something skincare wise that’s loosely connected with the film. The mask has something printed on it, which I assume is Wicked related, which is fun! Packaging says this is suitable for all skin types but I personally would avoid if you have sensitive or specific skin concerns. 99p.

    Face Facts Christmas Blemish Patches

Ideal for those people, probably teens, who love to use blemish patches. But more so wear blemish patches that are fun in shape and colourful. Face Facts Christmas Blemish Patches have ingredients to help target spots e.g salicylic acid. All inside festive patterned patches. 99p (24 applications).

  • Last Minute Christmas Gifts & Stocking Fillers In Your Supermarket

Let’s be honest. Some people are planners and get Christmas done and dusted days or weeks before Christmas, and others are last minute shoppers. Everyone is different, but everyone gets things bought and done eventually, right? If you’re looking for budget friendly small gifts, stocking fillers or even Christmas Eve box ideas, here’s a few that you can find while doing your grocery shopping.

    Treacle Moon’s Body Butters

For anyone that loves body moisturisers and especially those with a heavier texture, Treacle Moon’s body butters is a perfect purchase. These are available in 2 fragrances which is Brazilian Love and Rouge Love Story. Nicely packaged, great size, lovely fragrances and currently down to £3.50 for 200ml if using a Tesco Clubcard (normally £5.00).

    Treacle Moon Body Butter
Treacle Moon’s Shower & Bath Gels

These are available all year around (although some fragrances are limited edition) and are on the shelf with everyday shower gels. But how they’re packaged and how they look don’t look like an everyday product. Great packaging, generous size of 500ml, performs well in both shower and bath and great fragrances. Teaming this up with Treacle Moon’s Body Butter makes this a great and affordable gift or on it’s own a stocking filler. Usual price £2.00, with Tesco Clubcard £1.65.

    Lidl’s Candles

Lidl have a variety of their own branded candles in different fragrances and looks. They have a great mix of masculine fragrances, fruity fragrances, floral and some overall classic scents. This means whoever this candle is bought for, you will be able to find a scent they will like. Prices vary starting from £3.15.

Heathcote & Ivory Hand Cream In Tin

A travel sized hand cream housed in an adorable, cat decorated tin. Hand creams are always a good practical gift at this time of the year. The tin it comes in will appeal to certain people and you will KNOW who that person is. Very cute, very different and at full price is £8.00. It has been on a half price offer in Sainsbury’s recently if using a Nectar Card but unsure whether it’s still available discounted.

Heathcote & Ivory Hand Cream In Tin

Is it too late to buy Christmas gifts? No! Keep it simple, be focused where you’re shopping and for your sanity and time, narrow it down to a few shops where you can grab everything! And buy things you think people will like and use not just for buying sake.

  • New Sol de Janerio Dupes In Home Bargains!

I don’t think consumers are tired of dupes on the high street are they? Everywhere you go, every supermarket you enter or store you shop in there will be some fragrance, body product or hand wash ‘inspired’ by a well known product or brand. And just in time for Christmas, discount store Home Bargains has dropped some new Sol de Janerio dupes. So what have they got?

Santa de Cruz 3 Fragranced Body Spritz Gift Set
    First impressions?

These are good looking sets at great prices. The travel set is very attractively presented. The body spritz set I thought could have stood out more when it comes to the packaging but it still does the job. The fragrances and look of these products do have a resemblance to products in the Sol de Janerio brand, which isn’t hard to miss. Are these good dupes? Can’t answer that in regards to how these products perform compared to the ‘real’ counterparts. What I would say is expect some similarities e.g look and scents, but don’t expect exact copies.

    Availabilty

As usual, who knows how soon all stores will get this range, how much stock will be available or how long these will last. But with Christmas around the corner, if these are Christmas gifts or stocking fillers you want, buy them sooner rather than later!

  • 6 Stocking Fillers I Bought My Teenage Daughter For Christmas

Now that both my children are teenagers, I’ve found buying gifts for my daughter quite easy. It helps that I regularly get links sent to me from her telling me what she wants. But she’s also quite a typical young teenage girl who likes make-up, skincare and fragrance, so it’s not hard to buy her things. Are you struggling to buy small gifts for this age range? Here are 6 stocking fillers I bought my teenage daughter for Christmas 2024.

Collection Lasting Perfection Sheer Loose Powder

My daughter asked for setting powder, I bought her Collection Lasting Perfection Sheer Loose Powder in Matt. This can be applied under, over make-up or used on its own to make the skin look brighter, less shiny and helps foundation last longer and stay in tact. I bought two versions just to be on the safe side. One transparent, the other translucent. I’m sure she will have fun experimenting on her own with these because I don’t have a clue about make-up I just pay for it! These cost £3.99 each from Boots, but at the time of purchasing they had a third off the price.

MUA Hydra Juice Lip Balm Cherry Kiss

Who doesn’t love a lip balm, especially a teenage girl! My daughter loves using lip glosses and I thought MUA Hydra Juice Lip Balm in Cherry Kiss was the perfect balance of subtle colour, hydration and hopefully a look of gloss on the lips. Looks cute, will suit my daughter’s skin tone and super affordable at £2.50 from Superdrug.

La Roche Posay’s Purifying Foaming Gel

While on holiday, I bought my daughter a small version of La Roche Posay’s Purifying Foaming Gel. She says she’s noticed her skin is less spotty and smoother. This range is ideal for those with sensitive skin (although closer inspection I’m annoyed it has fragrance in it!), easy and quick to use and designed to help oily, blemish prone skin. Available in different sizes. For the 400ml size I paid £18.00 (from Boots when on promotion), but usual price is £24.00. Definitely a considered purchase, but will last a good number of months.

La Roche Posay’s Purifying Foaming Gel
    Avene’s Thermal Spring Water

Are facial mists actually beneficially except for very hot and sweaty days? I have no idea. But my daughter likes them and I liked the idea of this one as it literally is spring water in a can. No other skincare ingredients her young skin doesn’t need and I can imagine very refreshing to use too. Bought from Superdrug when it was under £4.00 for 50ml.

    Avene Thermal Spring Water
    Simple Sheet Masks

Simple is a brand that myself and my daughter use. She loves sheet skincare masks and loves Simple’s masks especially. It made sense to buy them when they were on offer for only £1.00 at Boots. Hydrating, cooling, pampering and perfect for sensitive skin.

    Simple Sheet Masks
Primark’s PS High Gloss Lip Gloss

The make-up in Primark is always affordable in price. For £1.50 this clear, glossy lip gloss was something I thought my daughter would like and use. If a teen likes to use lip glosses it’s a must to have a clear one in their collection.

Primark’s PS High Gloss Lip Gloss

Despite the La Roche Posey cleanser, I thought these products were very affordable and budget friendly. All easy to use and ideal for teenagers.
