  • Wild Refillable Bath, Body & Hair Products

Wild is a brand that seems to be making a bit of a splash on the high street. Their natural based deodorants have been a hit. Why? They have reusable packaging and refills to purchase when needed. Great way of cutting out the standard packaging we use one time and then throw away. Not only are their deodorants available from Wild but products products for the hair and body. So what’s currently available?

Wild have different shampoos and conditioners including Pink Grapefruit & Lime (Rich & Nourishing) for all hair types. Coconut & Vanilla (Strengthen & Repair) for dry and damaged hair. In my local Tesco I only spotted liquid versions of their hair care products, but on Wild’s website they also have shampoo bars which do the same thing but in solid form.

It was the body washes that caught my eye the most because some of the fragrances available sounded amazing. Orange Blossom, Ocean Mist, Cherry Blossom and Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt are all scents I would happily try out. Online there are also bars of soap available, which is great for people who want something more traditional to use.

    Why are these products appealing?

As mentioned, the packaging not being one use plastics is ideal for people who are thinking about the needless materials used and binned everyday. Also, the products are jam packed with natural ingredients with many geared towards adding to the skin (or hair) rather than taking away and stripping it. And if none of these points were enough, lets talk fragrances! Wild’s products aren’t fragranced with the generic scents you find on the market. There’s a mix of fruity, fresh, clean and floral which means everyone can be catered for.

    Let’s talk price

The cost of these products is totally different to regular deodorants, body washes, shampoos and conditioners. There’s different ways you can buy Wild products to use straight away. For first time use, a refillable will start the ball rolling. On average, a refillable shampoo which gives you the container and 350ml of shampoo costs up to £15.00. All you need after that is a refill which costs up to £7.00 for 350ml. The conditioners and body washes are the same price and size. These are the regular prices in various stores but direct through Wild there are different priced packages you can purchase.

I love the fact Wild have branched out into different products. I enjoyed using their Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt travel deodorant and would happily try out other products in their range as well. The initial cost isn’t what normal shoppers are used to when buying these types of products but there’s various promotions available regularly. This is the way products are moving forward. So why not go for products that are great in quality?

  • Going Wild Over A Natural Deodorant

Deodorants are THAT product I buy regularly for my household. Not only do I need to buy them for myself but also for one teenager and one pre-teen. Both are at that age where their appearance and hygiene are very important to them. So I’m always on the look out for effective and gentle products that can freshen and lightly fragrance the under arm area for all of us. That’s why I gave the brand Wild a go. For the cost of the p&p (under £3.00), I ordered two travel sized deodorants which included Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt and Jasmine & Mandarin Blossom. Both 17g each.

    Why did I get these?

I’ve noticed lots of posts on social media mentioning this brand and it’s products recently which got me interested. Many highlighting special promotional deals because these do cost more than the standard deodorants available in a supermarket or discount store. So rather than buying full size at possible full price, I opted for the more affordable option to see if I actually liked these.

    What’s special about Wild’s deodorants?

Their deodorants are made from natural ingredients rather than filled with things such as aluminium and parabens, which some people don’t want to use. Their full sized products are refillable. Once the refill has been used, you can insert another one into the casing which takes away the constant use of plastic.

    Packaging

These travel sizes are presented the same way as a lip balm. Slightly bigger in size but housed in a small cylinder. The sleeve is the lid and to get more of the deodorant out you need to push the bottom. Not made from plastic but cardboard. I love how simple this looks with the splash of colour, very individual and stands out.

How does the deodorant actually look?

It looks like a lip bam in it’s packaging and actually LOOKS like a lip balm product wise. It’s solid, while in colour and the texture of it is balm like. It looks so much like a lip product I’ve warned my daughter not to attempt to put it on her face!

    Fragrance

The two fragrances I received were Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt and Jasmine & Mandarin Blossom. Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt is just glorious! It’s a beautiful fresh and clean scent that couldn’t offend anyone. A mix of traditional fragrance cotton with an added slightly salty, mineral hit. Jasmine & Mandarin Blossom is a soft, feminine floral with the tiniest fruitiness to it. It doesn’t stand out as much as Fresh Cotton but still smells really good.

    In use

My preferred way to fragrance my underarm is to use a spray. Although this felt a little alien to me it was quick, strangely satisfying to apply that not only gave this area fragrance but moisturisation too. It didn’t leave any marks once rubbed in, wasn’t sticky and I threw my clothes on straight away.

I would say this performed well. It kept my underarms very fresh in feel and scented all day. Did I reapply this? Only in the evening after I had a bath. It is hard to say whether this performed better than my usual deodorant spray but it did it’s designed job very well.

This is an interesting product. I was impressed by the size, packaging, ease of use, fragrance and how fresh I felt after use. Getting the opportunity to use this without paying the full retail price was such a good idea. I can’t actually fault this! And I will be looking at purchasing this for myself and my children in the near future.

The travel sized deodorants are available direct from Wild in various combinations and costing £10.00 and £16.00 for 3 or 5 of them. Full sized and refillable versions are available from various places such as Boots, Holland & Barratt and a handful of supermarkets. Prices are around £12.00 for the case and 1 refill and refills £6.00 each. But keep an eye out for special promotions with different retailers to save a few pounds.

I didn’t think deodorants could be such great buys but I was wrong!
