  • Last Minute Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Beauty Gifts In ASDA!

    I can see the appeal of Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The film is quirky, slightly dark and still a good family watch. The animations and characters are memorable and appeal to people of all ages. So no wonder there is so many products out there connected with this film. If you’re still looking for Christmas gifts and want to grab some beauty items for a fan of this film, here are a few things I’ve found in my local ASDA:

    5 bath fizzers in a cherry fragrance, which are circular in shape with a Jack Skellington image on the front. Nicely packaged, practically housed in a sachet and only £2.91.

    This comes in a small, cardboard box with characters from the film on the front. Cherry fragranced. This would make a great stocking filler and a good generic gift for someone who you’re not too sure what to buy for them. £1.00.

    Body Duo

    This duo contains a body lotion and a body mist. Perfect to fragrance the body, in the cherry fragrance all of these products seem to be in. Decent sized products as the body lotion is 50ml and the body mist is 75ml. £2.95.

    Brush & Sponge Set

    Contains an angled powder brush, a fluffy eyeshadow brush, a silicone brush cleaner and a beauty blender sponge. From the packaging, it looks as if this set is pink, white and black in colour. Boxed and costs only £3.95.

    Nail Duo

    This duo contains one grey, matt looking polish and a sparkly, purple/pink nail polish. Both are beautiful shades that compliment each other or stand out individually. Very eye catching and great for nail polish lovers. £2.99.

    How good are these items? My only disappointment is the fragranced products all come in cherry. But this is great for those who love this scent and want to layer. But doesn’t offer much in the form of choice. All items are affordable and budget friendly, great packaging and easy to pick up last minute from your local store (depending on stock availability).

  • Love Vanilla? Everything Vanilla For The Body & Home!

    I LOVE vanilla! It’s one of those scents that I’ve loved for as long as I can remember. It’s comforting, soothing, sweet which is just what I like from a fragrance. Surely I can’t be the only one who loves vanilla? Here are a few vanilla fragranced products for the home and body that has caught my interest (and maybe my basket!) on the high street:

    Bespoke London’s Salted Vanilla & Tropical Blossom Body Mist

    140ml of body mist which is made up of a blend of vanilla and florals. This looks, and sounds, quite feminine, soft and mouth watering in a none edible way. Regularly on a price promotion in Superdrug, but usual price is £6.99 for 140ml.

    Aldi’s Lacura Vanilla Shower Gel

    I saw, I bought and I used! This shower gel smells like vanilla! A gorgeous, sweet but not sickly or synthetic vanilla, which foams up beautifully in the bath. Not drying on the skin at all and enjoyable to use. £1.99 for 500ml.

    Cristalinas Spiced Vanilla Latte Reed Diffuser

    These reed diffuser may look small, but their fragrance is mighty! I know…I’m currently on reed diffuser number 3! Spiced Vanilla Latte is a delicate blend of creamy vanilla, coffee with a hint of spice. Its not heady like many versions of this scent, which I think is ideal. Available from many places including the supermarket ASDA. But cheapest place I’ve seen this is from Home Bargains for £1.99.

    Radox’s Vanilla Cookie Bath Soak & Shower Gel

    Radox is THAT dependable everyday brand for bath and shower care products that many of us love and use. Vanilla Cookies isn’t an everyday fragrance that’s on the shelf throughout the year, but is a winter edition so possibly limited. Bath soak is £1.49 for 500ml, shower gel 250ml for 99p. Both found in Home Bargains.

    This gift set includes a body mist, shower cream and body scrub. All in a vanilla fragrance, so ideal for layering from cleaning the skin, exfoliating to moisturising. £5.49 in stores such as B&M.

    Tiger Moon’s Vanilla Orchid Body Mist

    This body mist is a delight! It’s feminine, with vanilla, white florals, sandalwood and amber mixed together. This is one of those fragrances that stands out because even though it’s a body mist, it smells more like an actual perfume. £2.00 for 100ml in ASDA.

    So, if you’re a vanilla fiend like me, these products will keep you going for a while. Lots are available on the UK high street without a massive price tag, so happy shopping!

  • Beauty Stocking Fillers For Under £2.00 In Home Bargains!

    Christmas stockings. Christmas Eve boxes. Hampers. They’re all the same sort of thing just housing gifts in a different way. So what do they all have common? They all contain smaller, normally less expensive gifts for someone, that doesn’t stand out as a main gift but a collection of little ones providing treat after treat. My teens have Christmas stockings. And what they get filled with are small items I think they will like. Socks, chocolate, make-up, bath and body products. Nothing flash or expensive but still well thought out. So if you only had £2.00 to spend on a stocking filler, what could you buy?     New to the shelves of Home Bargains, this foot scrub (so far) is available in Minty Fresh and Caffeine Fix. Minty Fresh contains peppermint, Caffeine Fix coffee. Both sound very invigorating and contain sea salt and glycerin so should leave feet feeling smooth and hydrated. £1.49 for 500g.

    This would make the perfect partner for the Face Fact body scrubs also available in Home Bargains. Tropical Bliss sounds like how it will smell, tropical and fruity! The texture in the tub looks rich and moisturising. It contains sunflower seed oil, pineapple fruit extract and avocado oil to name a few ingredients. £1.49 for 400ml.

    Serenity Collection Bath Honey

    Coffee, whiskey and vanilla cream scented bath honey. The consistency of this doesn’t quite look like a bath soak or gel, but something in between. Nicely packaged, great for a bath lover and only £1.99.

    Biovene Sheet Masks

    There’s a few different versions of this sheet mask available in store. But the one I recently saw was Avocado Cucumber & Niacinamide. Designed to be hydrating and cooling on the skin, this sheet mask costs only 59p.

    Face Facts Multibiotic Fortifying Face Mask

    This skincare mask is should be used at night time and to be worn while a sleep. It is supposed to help hydrate, balance and strengthen the skin leaving it smoother and stronger. 99p for 75ml.

    Charlie Tate London’s Lime Basil & Mandarin Hand Lotion

    Lime Basil & Mandarin as a scent is very popular thanks to a certain luxury brand in fragrance and body care products. So to have this in a hand lotion means it’s a practical gift but a slightly pampering one. Great to gift for someone who looks after their hands, who likes this scent and someone who likes to have nice looking hand care products in their bathroom or toilet. £1.49.

    Home Bargains has 3 Wicked gift ideas ready to grab and wrap. One is their Wicked Nail Art Collection, which includes 3 nail polishes, nail file and nail art stickers. Colours perfectly match the film which is pink, gold and green. Probably more suited for a younger age range, so great for kids. It costs £2.99.
