  • More Bath & Shower Product Bargains In Boots!

After discovering some amazingly priced bath, shower and body care products in my local Boots store recently, I couldn’t help visit another store to see what they had to offer. I wasn’t disappointed! I left with a heavier bag than I walked in with but spent less than £3.00! So what did I see, but more importantly, what did I buy?

Bath & Shower Product Bargains In Boots!
Cussons Creations Vanilla & Shea Butter Shower Gel

400ml of a floral, sweet, powdery and clean scented shower gel that can be used in both the shower and the bath. Clearance price 25p.

Imperial Leather’s Mandarin & Neroli Body Wash

250ml of a body wash that is fruity but not too sweet. Very refreshing in scent thanks to a citrus undertone. 25p for 250ml.

Imperial Leather’s Mandarin & Neroli Body Wash
Palmolive’s Thermal Spa Silky Oil Shower Gel

400ml of a shower gel fragranced in coconut oil and lavender. This is sweet, tropical-esq in scent, very comforting and soothing. A great product to use at night time to help relax and unwind from the day. 44p.

Palmolive’s Thermal Spa Silky Oil Shower Gel
Ineos Sea Salt+Blue Lotus Body Wash

In my local store they only had this in the Mandarin & Sandalwood scent. So it was nice to see Sea Salt + Blue Lotus as a fresher, cleaner and possibly more masculine scent alternative. 75p for 300ml.

Ineos Sea Salt+Blue Lotus Body Wash
Treacle Moon’s Rouge Love Body Butter & Peace In A Flower Body Scrub

I saw (and bought!) these when I visited my local store previously and it was good to see them available in other stores. These products smell amazing and are so good on the skin. Still at the clearance price I saw previously which was £1.25 for the body butter and 75p for the body scrub.

    What did I buy?

Everything except the body butters! Slightly off putting to see a customer opening them all and sniffing them, so it was a no from me to buy these again! So I grabbed another body scrub for a friend, and everything else listed above for my son to use when needed. Overall, I bought (again!) another selection of super affordable products that can be used on a daily basis, so less than £3.00 well spent!

  • Simple Skincare Products Under £3.00 In Home Bargains!

Simple is a brand my household uses regularly. We’ve used various products for both the bath and shower and face. It’s ideal because of the gentle formulations, with many products being suitable for sensitive skin and a good starting point for teenagers. It’s not an expensive range. But like most products prices have been creeping up over the last few years. I found a recent selection of Simple products at an affordable price than usual sat on the shelves of Home Bargains. So what did I find and what are these products supposed to do?

Simple Skincare Products In Home Bargains!
Hyaluronic Acid & B5 Booster Serum

Designed for skin that needs more hydration, and wants to be softer and smoother. Great for lined and dehydrated skin. Suitable for all skin types, can be used once or twice a day under a moisturiser. Home Bargains price £2.99 for 30ml. Usual rrp £9.99.

Hyaluronic Acid & B5 Booster Serum
    Vitamin B3 Niacinamide Booster Serum

Improves the texture and look of the skin by helping it to retain moisture in the skin and help improve the skin’s natural barrier. Overall giving the skin a healthier appearance. £2.99 for 30ml. Usual rrp £9.99.

    Vitamin B3 Niacinamide Booster Serum
    Repairing Rich Cream

Simple’s Repairing Rich Cream should be hydration in a pot! A slightly thicker consistency, soothing, smoothing and hydrating so good for drier skin or use as a night cream. £2.99 for 50ml. Usual rrp £9.99.

    Repairing Rich Cream
    Skin Quench Gel Cream

Another facial cream that delivers hydration but in a lighter formulation. Great for those who want the moisture back into the skin without the heaviness. Potentially a good product to use during warmer seasons. £2.99 for 50ml. Usual rrp £9.99.

    Skin Quench Gel Cream
    Brightening Gel Cream

Containing Vitamin’s C & E, ginger root and glycerin. This facial moisturiser should hydrate but also help the skin to look brighter, softer and healthier. Not to mention helping combat pollution which can damage the skin on a daily basis. £2.99 for 50ml. Usual price £9.99.

    Brightening Gel Cream
    What’s good about these products?

Besides the low price point? These products are suitable for all skin types. But Simple is a brand that focuses a lot of their products on sensitive skin. They do this by avoiding the use of colouring, perfumes and other potentially irritating ingredients. This is why many of them I use and happily allow my teenagers to use as well.

    Worth buying?

Depending on what you’re looking for in a skincare product I would say yes! In fact, I’ve already bought the Brightening Gel Cream! These are good products, for concerns that many of us have at great affordable price points. To find these particular products under £3.00 each on the high street, even on sale, doesn’t happen. So grab these if and when you can because they won’t be in Home Bargains at these prices for long!

  • Aldi’s Lacura Ultimate Skincare Range

Aldi don’t disappoint when it comes to skincare products. The only thing that can be disappointing is stock levels and availability when purchasing products for the face and body. But when they do have products come in that aren’t part of their everyday ranges, it definitely perks up the interest of skincare shoppers. So when I spotted their Ultimate range last week, I wasn’t sure if this was new, a repeat or products I simply missed, but I was still intrigued. So what products did I find and how much do they cost?

    Aldi Lacura’s Ultimate Skincare Range
    Ultimate Serum

This serum helps hydrate, smooth and soften the skin thanks to it containing squalane, hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, Edelweiss and Pomegranate extracts. It should be easily absorbed as its light weight, so will leave skin feeling protected but not greasy. £8.49 for 30ml.

    Aldi’s Lacura Ultimate Serum
    Ultimate Eye Serum

This contains a similar set of ingredients as the serum, but also niacinamide (helps to hydrate, protect and repair skin) and centella extract (hydrating and soothing on the skin). So expect under eyes to feel lightly nourished, which will help the appearance and feel of lines and wrinkles. £6.99 for 15ml.

    Aldi’s Lacura Ultimate Eye Cream
    Ultimate Rich Cream

Containing squalane, peptides, hyaluronic acid and green tea extract, this formulation is all about delivering. Delivering hydration, protection and making the skin feel and appear to be firmer and plumper. £8.49 for 50ml.

    Aldi’s Lacura Ultimate Rich Cream
    Thoughts?

This range of products look like they’re aimed at an older, more mature person. The packaging reflects this and not geared towards a younger market at all. What these products are supposed to do to the skin and ingredients, sounds like it’s catering for skin that needs more help with putting things back into the skin that it’s lacking. Aged skin isn’t always down to the age of the person though. It could be down to lifestyle, genetics and other factors. I think if you want to use this range, these are for someone who needs help to get skin in better, general condition. Products for mature skin tend to come at a higher price point than ranges for younger skin. This may explain why these are a little more pricier than other skincare products Aldi usually sell.

This collection of products won’t suit everyone. So if investing in this range, it might be worthwhile trying out 1 product first and taking it from there. BUT with the colder weather here in the UK, this range might be nice to pop into your routine if your skin is feeling tight, dehydrated and needs a little life put back into it.

  • Looking For A Bargain? Check Out Boots!

I can’t express enough how much I love a bargain! There’s nothing more satisfying than buying items that you would happily buy at full price to find they’ve been reduced. Although 2026 is a year I’m trying to be more mindful of how much money I spend, I still want to save money on as many purchases I make as possible. A recent trip to my local Boots had me walking out with an armful of discounted goodies. So what did I find and how much did it cost?

    Bargains in Boots!
Ineos Manadrin + Sandalwood Body Wash

Not a brand I’ve used before but I’ve heard of it. 300ml of a body wash that is designed to be moisturising, fragrant, containing natural oils, combat odours and keep the body cool. I love the sound of the fragrance of mandarin & sandalwood. It sounds comforting and clean. And the packaging is unusual, stands out and something both men and women would happily have in their bathroom. Original price £3.00, reduced price 75p.

Ineos Manadrin + Sandalwood Body Wash
Treacle Moon’s Peace In A Flower Body Scrub

Floral, feminine and almost perfume like, this body scrub smells so pretty! The formulation, if anything like other scrubs from this range, will be an effective exfoliant and leave the skin soft, smooth and moisturised. I’ve used scrubs from Treacle Moon before and loved them, so I know this will be great. I’m not sure how much Boots retailed this for, but on Treacle Moon’s website this is priced at £3.00. Boots in store clearance price? 75p. (matching shower & bath gel available).

Treacle Moon’s Peace In A Flower Body Scrub
Treacle Moon’s Rouge Love Story Body Butter

I’ve just finished this body butter and it’s a delight! (see review here). It’s a beautiful body butter. Good size at 200ml which will provide fragrance and moisturisation on a daily basis. At Boots this normally costs £4.99 but current price reduced to £2.49. How much instore? £1.25! (matching shower & bath gel available).

Treacle Moon’s Rouge Love Story Body Butter
Treacle Moon’s Rouge Love Story Body Mist

I’ve tried Treacle Moon’s Sunny Brazilian Love Fragrance Mist and honestly was disappointed. So what made me consider Rouge Story Body Mist? I love the scent of Rouge Story Body Butter. It’s a deeper, richer scent than Sunny Brazilian so I hoped it would perform better. But the body butter being available and the matching body mist meant an affordable way to layer in a beautiful fragrance. Usual price in Boots was £3.99, down to £1.99, instore £1.00!

Treacle Moon’s Rouge Love Story Body Mist
Did I buy any of these?

Of course I did! I bought 2 each of the body wash, body butters and body mists. And 3 scrubs. So what am I going to do with these? If I don’t keep them for myself, which is a strong possibility, these will make great gifts. I bought these with people in mind. I’m happy I found these at the prices I did because saving money in 2026 on purchases I was going to make is what I’m after!

*Instore and online prices may vary. At time of publishing post these were available in my local store at mentioned prices but may change or vary in other stores*
