  • Fragrance & Body Care Products In Marks & Spencer

Marks & Spencer, as a store, is known for selling food, clothing and homeware. But what about beauty? Body care? Fragrance? If you’re able to visit a large Marks & Spencer, you will find a beauty department selling various different products. But even in a smaller store, even the ones that focuses purely on food, you will find a small section of personal care items available. My local store, a food hall, stocks a variety of different products. So what did I find?

Fragrance & Body Care Products In Marks & Spencer
Fragrance Mists for Body & Hair

Most people love a fragrance mist, and Gem fragrance mists will probably be loved too. These come in three different fragrances:

Roasted Almond & Toffee – buttery toffee and sweet almond.

Santal – earthly sandalwood subtle spices.

Coconut Vanilla – coconut milk with exotic vanilla.

    £5.50.

Roasted Almond & Toffee Fragrance Mist
    48hr antiperspirant dry spray

These come in the same fragrances as the fragrance mist, which is great if you want to layer. Each one contains no alcohol but does contain shea butter, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. This formulation is designed to to be hard working on sweat and odours but also be gentle on the skin. £3.50.

    Coconut Vanilla Antiperspirant Dry Spray
    Roll on deodorant

Same fragrances as the fragrance mist and the dry spray. Similar properties as the dry spray e.g the moisturising ingredients but in roll on form. £3.00.

    Santal Roll On Deodorant
    First thoughts?

I like the fact all three products come in the same fragrances. All three fragrances tick my boxes as these are my type of scents. But not very spring or summer like, except for Coconut Vanilla. I’m not sure if there’s more fragrances available and they’re store dependant. Two of these seem more suitable for autumn/winter wearing and I would love to see more floral and fruity based fragrances ready for warmer seasons. How these are packaged are simple but not in a cheap looking way, quite sophisticated. And price point? Not the lowest prices I’ve seen but definitely not the most expensive.

A nice selection of products I would happily buy and try!

  • New Skin Saints Shower Whips!

Skin Saints is a brand I’ve kept my eye on for awhile. First, it was their skincare. Then, I was intrigued by their fragrances, and now their body care products are on my radar. The latest product I’ve noticed on sale is their shower whips. So what’s available and how much do they cost?

    Skin Saints Shower Whips
    Fragrances

3 fragrances are available. These shower whips come in:

    Cherry Bomb

    Apricot Blush

    Pineapple Sorbet

These three fragrances are perfect for spring and summer use. All fruity with hints of floral, all sweet and all sound like fun!

    Apricot Blush Shower Whip
    Packaging

Very similar to a lot of shower whips/shower foams available on the market. This comes in a canister, colour wise pastel shades, very basic but still attractive.

    Who would like this?

Those who want a more pampering shower experience. If you love different textures with body care products this might be for you. And those with dry skin, as these formulations should be non-stripping and moisture giving, might be a must to purchase!

    Pineapple Sorbet Shower Whip
Size, price and where to buy

250ml for £3.00, available in Tesco.

    Thoughts?

Nicely packaged, great fragrances and affordable price. I’m tempted, but are YOU?

  • 3 Body Products For Under £3.00 In Home Bargains!

Looking after the skin on our bodies is just as important as the skin on our faces. Thankfully, most of us don’t need a complicated 10 step body care routine. We wash our bodies, sometimes exfoliate and moisturise. Like skincare, body care products can be as simple or as luxurious as you like. But with body care products, many of us like to use this time to pamper ourselves. And thankfully, it doesn’t have to cost a fortune! Here are some affordable and budget friendly body care products found recently in my local Home Bargains:

Body Products Under £3.00 in Home Bargains!
Sor Bae Beauty’s Exfoliating Body Polishes

I love body scrubs and I love texture in body care products, so this immediately jumped out off the shelf! I found 2 different versions of this body polish (although there maybe more). Coco Colada Creme, which is a mix of coconut and pineapple fragrance. Also Watermelon Sugar, which you guessed it, is watermelon fragranced. Both of these are body scrubs which are sugar based with shea butter. This means they should exfoliate the skin, the sugar particles should dissolve so won’t be aggressive and the added shea butter should help to moisturise. £2.99 for 300g.

Sor Bae Beauty’s Exfoliating Body Polish
    Globetrotter’s Body Lotions

Whooping 500ml body lotions in various fragrances, including Mykonos (Vanilla Sea Breeze) and Dubai (Guava Granita & Amber Sunsets). Containing ingredients including shea butter, sunflower seed oil and glycerin, these body lotions are fun in theme and economical to use. £1.99 for 500ml.

    Globetrotter’s Body Lotion
    Face Facts Body Butters

These body butters have been in Home Bargains store on and off for months. They appear to sell well and come from quite a well known budget brand for skin and body care products. Containing sunflower seed oil and avocado oil, this should be a rich highly moisturising body product. £1.49 for 400ml.

    Face Facts Body Butter

So, for under £3.00 you can pick up a body scrub, body lotion or body butter and have change left over! Everyday, affordable body care products.

  • New Body Products In Lidl!

I don’t visit my local Lidl as often as I used to. Purely for the reasons of saving time and money if I’m honest! But I did go in last week to pick up a few items and found they had new body and skincare products available. So what did I find for the body and how much did they cost?

New Body Care Products In Lidl!
D’Avignon Cherry Blossom Body Lotion (Lidl own brand)

This is the product that grabbed my attention first because it’s a L’Occitane en Provence dupe. 250ml of a floral, pretty scented body lotion which includes shea butter (second ingredient in the list so a good percentage included) and glycerin. This is marketed as a fragrant, light weight but moisturising product for the body. £3.99.

    Zen Botanics Luxury Handwash

I saw only one fragrance of this hand wash, which was White Tea & Lotus Flower. The fragrance sounds clean, a little zesty but floral as well (bergamot, orange flower and grapefruit). This would be a great scent ready for spring and summer, and comes in a 245ml pump action bottle. £2.99.

    Zen Luxury Hand Lotion

Perfect partner to the hand wash, as it comes in White Tea & Lotus and Jujube & Sacred Lotus. Both contain shea butter and glycerin so should be moisturising and protecting on the hands, especially after hand washing. Packaging wise, nicely presented but doesn’t quite match the hand wash in appearance. £2.99 for 195ml.

    Price promotions?

Although these are priced very affordably, at the time of writing this post all three of these products were on a buy one get one free promotion, which is amazing! Great way to try new products, gift or to put away for future use.

    First impressions?

These seem like a nice range of products. Packaging wise I think the body lotion looks the best, it looks more expensive than it is. The other products look ok but less memorable.

The ingredients are what you would hope for and probably expect from products that cost more e.g shea butter, so good formulations.

Overall, I’m happy to see these products sat on the shelves of Lidl. Would I buy any of these? Probably the body lotion! The scent (one was open I had a sniff!), the packaging and the amount of product were all ticks for me and I might need to go and buy it!
