  • Is Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely Sheer Body Mist Good?

Body mists are my go to forms of fragrance, mainly because they can be so affordable. Affordability means I don’t have to be precious with how much or how often I use body mists, which makes these perfect products to use daily. One of my latest purchases is Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely Sheer Body Mist. Not a brand I’ve used before but I’m aware of the celebrity behind it. So why did I buy it and how did it perform?

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely Sheer Body Mist
    Why did I buy this?

I bought this body mist online from Superdrug. I regularly scroll through their website because they have some good offers on, especially for fragrances. I found this body mist was on promotion and down from £10.00 to £5.00 plus a buy one get one half price. Perfect opportunity to buy and try one for myself and give this as birthday gift for a friend.

    Packaging

250ml of body mist comes in a typical looking spray dispenser bottle. It’s clear, but the label covers the majority of the bottle which is silver and white. It’s very clean in look, eye catching despite it’s simplicity and quite appealing to look at.

    Fragrance

White florals. This smells of light, feminine, clean, almost powdery white florals. It’s pleasant enough, but slightly old fashioned in scent. I’m not in love with how this smells to be honest. I can’t see this being loved by all ages. This seems more for people who like a more traditional scent, so possibly an older wearer.

    Strength & Longevity

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely Sheer Body Mist is quite light in strength. I find I have to be quite heavy handed when applying this to get the initial kick of fragrance. It also doesn’t have the best longevity. Applied on clothes in the morning, by mid day I can barely smell anything.

    Recommended?

This fragrance wasn’t for me. The actual scent is too floral heavy and one dimensional so automatically I give it a thumbs down. But that’s my personal taste. I also want something heavier, which this isn’t. So if you want a floral scent that is basic, traditional, light in strength and longevity, then you might like this. If you want something with more punch, a mix of different florals or scents that make this more fully bodied, and more modern, then this isn’t for you.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely Sheer Body Mist doesn’t seem to be available anymore from Superdrug, but it is on Amazon for less than £10.00.

  • New! So…? Fragrance Caramel Cookies Body Mist

Fragrance is a very individual thing. We all have our likes and dislikes, that’s what makes wearing fragrance a very personal thing. One of the types of scents I enjoy wearing and smelling is what I would call bakery style scents. Anything that resembles a sweet treat like a dessert I love. So I had to try the new Caramel Cookies Body Mist from So…? Fragrance. Did it give me a sugar high or was it a crashing disappointment?

    So…? Caramel Cookies Body Mist
    Packaging

All So…? body mists are packaged the same. They come in a clear, plastic spray top bottle. The label on the back has an image that peeps through the bottle giving it a pattern. But what stands out with these body mists is how the sides are curved in. Easy and comfortable to hold, and by look alone I know what brand of body mist this is.

    Fragrance

To sum this up easily and quickly, the scent of this reminds me of caramelised biscuits! Sweet, slightly buttery biscuit with caramel that’s nearly but not at the point of burning. It smells mouth watering and ticks all the scent boxes for any bakery scent lover!

    Strength & Longevity

When I initially apply this, the strength is medium. You can’t mistake the smell, it’s there and it’s not a delicate, soft scent. What I do find is I can be heavy handed with this and not feel as if I’m overdoing it, by making it heady or strong. Longevity wise is what I expect from a body mist. It’s there straight away, and continues to be noticeable for a few hours but strength dies down. And by the start of the afternoon, if applied in the morning, it’s there faintly but not totally disappeared.

    So…? body mists
    Recommended?

I’m slightly biased on this one but purely because of how this smells, this is totally recommended! It’s not a sophisticated scent but I love it and it smells exactly how you hope it would. Strength and longevity is standard for a body mist. It’s no worse or no better than any other I’ve used before. But I still think it’s worth a buy!

Regular price from Superdrug is £3.99 for 100ml. I bought this when on promotion for £2.35. If you can buy this for the price I paid, it’s a great buy!

  • Is Scentology’s Pomelo & Neroli Body Mist Perfect For Spring?

Body mists are one of the most cost effective types of fragrance for the body and clothes to purchase on the high street. They can be super cheap, as low as 89p, or much more, depending on your budget. Let’s be honest, if you like body mists and use them regularly, you will buy them more at a more affordable and lower price point. My latest body mist purchase was from Superdrug in the form of Scentology’s Pomelo & Neroli Body Mist. Normally £7.99 for 200ml, but I bought it when it was half price AND a buy one get one free! So is it any good?

Scentology’s Pomelo & Neroli Body Mist
    Packaging

This body mist comes in a clear, slightly frosted bottle. White lid, spray applicator and a very simple black lettering on the front. Despite how plain this packaging is it looks good, more expensive than what it costs and could be bought for or by any aged person, so would be attractive to anyone.

    Fragrance

The most simple way I can describe how Scentology’s Pomelo & Neroli Body Mist smells is it’s a blend of white florals with a light peach fruitiness to it. There’s also a hint of a slightly musky aromatherapy, earthy scent added in there as well. It sounds like a lot going on scent wise but this mix is actually a nice one. Not too heavy, strangely quite uplifting and light, but has depth to it.

    Strength & Longevity

Strength when first applied is a medium. But I feel it weakens quite quickly so I reapply it. Longevity for me could be better. It’s still there a few hours later but faint. I like my fragrances to linger longer and stronger. Important to add I rarely apply fragrance to skin it’s always on my clothes. So this may behave differently on skin.

    Recommended?

I actually like this body mist! And you would too if you like a fragrance to be floral with a hint of fruit to it. It smells great and is perfect for Spring and Summer wearing. But what about the longevity and strength? To be honest, as long as you don’t purchase this at full price reapplying this if and when needed isn’t a big thing. It’s a generous 200ml size, I use this ALOT and it’s still full. Not everyone wants heavy, obvious fragrances so this could be ideal for them. So am I happy to use this? Yes, I use it daily. Would I recommend it? I would, for the right person and at the right price!

    * A quick note. My 13 year old daughter borrowed this and says how nice it smells. I’m not getting it back! And she’s asked for this for her birthday. So thumbs up from her.

There are a few different fragrances at Superdrug in the Scentology body mist range. Hopefully something for everyone’s fragrance taste.

  • My 3 Favourite Products of 2024

Now 2024 has ended, I thought I would look back on all the products I’ve used this year. Some I would happily repurchase again, some I wouldn’t waste my money on and some are now favourites of mine. Favourites to the point they impressed me, I loved using them and would buy again in a heart beat. So what were my favourite products of 2024?

My 3 Favourite Products of 2024
    Lidl’s LUSH Dupe Shower Gels

I genuinely had no idea how Lidl’s LUSH dupe shower gels would be, but I’m glad I tried them. It’s not hard to get shower gels that foam/bubble and clean the skin, but to really enjoy using them is something else. Both Relax and Honey I’m Home performed great in the bath and shower. They foamed up beautifully in the shower and created lots of soft bubbles in the bath. My skin didn’t dry out and each one cleaned my skin perfectly. But it was the fragrances that got me. Comforting, soothing, relaxing. These smell amazing, and for only £1.99 each for 500ml I would buy these time and time again (and I have!).

Superdrug’s Fruity Blood Orange Body Mist

Fruity Blood Orange Body Mist from Superdrug was a limited edition, affordable fragrance brought out for Autumn/Halloween. The fragrance itself was unusual and very different compared to other body mists on the market. Citrus, musk, spices, not a light fragrance at all but quite a deep and dark one, which I love! It only cost £1.74 at the time and I really wish I had bought more now.

Home of Honey’s 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 Wax Melts

I was gifted 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 Wax Melts from Home of Honey Candle Co. This consisted of a collection of 12 Christmas/Winter inspired scented wax melts. This set was one of my favourite products of 2024 because all of the fragrances were beautiful, great strength and great longevity. I was so impressed by this and enjoyed each melt as I used them.

So that’s my 3 stand out products for 2024. Were there more? Possibly. Did I love every minute using these? Definitely. Am I sad I’ve used these all up now? Absolutely! Definitely 3 great, affordable and good quality products that deserve to be in my top 3 favourite products of last year.
