  • New So…? Body Mists in Superdrug

Body mists are a great way for people to fragrance themselves. Available everywhere, lots of brands and scents to choose from and can be very affordable to purchase. These are the reasons I like to use and buy them, not only for myself but for my teenage daughter too. My latest purchase was a selection of So…? body mists, in new fragrances, from the store Superdrug. So what did I buy and why?

    Fragrances

I bought 4 body mists in total. Chocolate Milkshake, Vanilla Milkshake, Caramel Cookies and Boba Licious.

    Vanilla Milkshake Body Mist
    Why these?

Firstly, these are new fragrances. But more importantly these are the types of fragrances I like. Sweet smelling, almost bakery or confectionery like, are the types of scents I’ve always enjoyed. With these being on a special price promotion it made these new releases just that little bit more affordable so I could try them out. It also helps that my daughter has a similar taste in scents and fragrances to me, so win win.

    Chocolate Milkshake Body Mist
    How do they smell?

Chocolate Milkshake smells like a mix of milk chocolate and florals. Vanilla Milkshake I would say has the same sort of scent as the chocolate version but, of course, more vanilla based. Caramel Cookies reminds me of the scent of caramelised biscuits, LITERALLY! And Boba Licious is quite a fruity fragrance. Very summery, energising and effervescent.

    Caramel Cookies Body Mist

I can honestly say I would be happy to wear any of these. These are my types of fragrances scent wise and each one smells so good, especially Caramel Cookies. I can also see the potential of layering as I think they would work well combined.

    Thoughts?

These 4 new So…? body mists from Superdrug is what I expect from the brand. Fun, fragrant and modern. Not taking itself too seriously and really delivering fragrances that people will love if they like this type of fragrance family. I was going to give my daughter one or two of these but I’m tempted to keep them all, that’s how much I like them! So on first impressions and sniff test, these get the thumbs up. Cost? £3.99 for 100ml, but at time of purchase they were on promotion for £2.35 (using Superdrug’s loyalty card). Available in store and online.

  • Miss So…? Body Fragrance Sprays For 89p!

There are certain stores/shops I always go to because of convenience, products available and prices. One store I rarely go into is Bodycare. Mainly because my nearest one is in the city centre and I don’t go there often. But I went into town recently, visited Bodycare, and I noticed a product I might pick up on my next trip. This was Miss So…? Body Fragrance Sprays, which cost 89p for 75ml.

Miss So…? Body Fragrances in Bodycare
    Why these?

I’ve bought many different Miss So…? fragrance products in different forms before, including Love Potion Fraiche, Secret Crush Perfume Mist and Midnight Magic Oriental Vanilla & Praline Perfume Mist. All of them I’ve enjoyed but none have cost 89p! I don’t expect this to be the same strength or longevity as other versions of their fragrances, but for 89p these are perfect for my daughter to use daily especially for school, and for me to take to work.

    Fragrances available

Midnight Magic Oriental Vanilla & Praline – a scent including notes of nectarine, strawberry, white chocolate, coconut milk, praline and vanilla. This will be a slightly sweet, comforting fragrance great for those who love their warming bakery food based scents.

Miss So…? Midnight Magic Oriental, Vanilla & Praline Body Fragrance

Secret Crush Peony & Musk – a scent including notes of bergamot, jasmine, cherry blossom, peony, cedarwood, musk and amber. This will be a powdery, clean, fresh floral fragrance.

Miss So…? Secret Crush Peony & Musk Body Fragrance

Love Potion Wild Berries & Jasmine – a scent including notes of apple, red fruits, jasmine, cedarwood and musk. This will be a fruit based fragrance but not too sweet with hints of soft, pretty florals.

Miss So…? Love Potion Wild Berries & Jasmine Body Fragrance

Starlet White Musk & Coconut – a scent including notes of mandarin, coconut, strawberry, white flowers, vanilla, white musk and sandalwood. I actually had a smell of this one and really liked it! It definitely had a slight tropical scent to it but was powdery, so very fresh with the vanilla adding warmth. Not the lightest of scents because it has a bit of depth to it, but I liked it!

I think for the different fragrances available, how these look and price point, these are good buys. I haven’t used these myself (yet!) so longevity I can’t comment on, but I’ve had some of these fragrances in different forms and they’re good. You can’t really go wrong with how much these cost and great for a cheap fragrance fix for any age from pre-teens to adults.

  • Fragrance Dupes From Designer Fragrances Men’s Body Sprays

It wasn’t that long ago when when designer fragrance ‘copies’ were frowned on. Not only were they not acceptable but they weren’t readily available on the high street. Now, you can go into supermarkets, discount stores and most shops in general and find they are selling products ‘inspired’ by well known scents. Is this ok now? I would say it is. Personally, I have zero shame buying fragrance products like this. My last purchases that fell into this category were Designer Fragrances Men’s Body Sprays in Savore, One Billion and Ventis. All bought from Home Bargains for £1.49 each last month.

    Designer Fragrances Men’s Body Sprays
    Why did I buy these?

For Christmas 2022 I wanted to buy my 13 year old son inexpensive body sprays for stocking fillers. I didn’t want to spend too much but still wanted nice fragrances for him to use. I’ve used the ladies body sprays in this brand before and liked them, so I thought these would be ideal for a young teen which wouldn’t break the bank.

    What did I buy?

I bought 3 different body sprays in the scents of:

    • Ventis
    • One Billion
    • Savore
    Packaging

150ml of fragrance is housed in the typical body spray can dispenser. What I like about these body sprays is they are simple in look but have quite a masculine appearance to them. Each one is a brushed metal colour (Ventis is silver, One Billion is gold and Savore is blue) with a silver lid and silver text on the can. One thing that’s very helpful is at the bottom of each spray is a basic scent description which should help with purchasing the right one for the customer.

    Ventis
    How do these smell?

Ventis is a little musky and slightly herbal with a small amount of sweetness to it. Inspired by the fragrance Aventus. One Billion is quite warming in scent, spicy, sweet. Inspired by the fragrance One Million. Savore is very much zesty based in a citrus way with woody notes to it. This is a little on the powdery side so is quite clean but I feel as if there is some form of white floral in this. Inspired by the fragrance Sauvage.

These all smell very different but all masculine in their own, individual way.

    One Billion
How do these compare to the famous fragrance counterparts?

Honestly? I couldn’t answer that question! I’m not familiar enough with the designer fragrances these body sprays are inspired by to make a confident statement. And I also would like to sit down and have both versions in front of me and compare them. What I would say is scent wise these are great, they smell like actual men’s fragrances rather than body sprays and that’s what counts for me.

    Savore
    Strength & Longevity

Strength wise these do come out quite strong but that strength isn’t constant and will lessen over time. Longevity is the same as I expected compared to the women’s body sprays. The scent doesn’t totally disappear as I can still detect it, but these do need to be reapplied to kick start the fragrance to a good strength. So longevity is decent but not ever lasting. It’s important to note my son applies this onto his clothes and under his arms (give me strength!) so this is based more on use on clothing rather than skin.

    Designer Fragrances Body Sprays
What does my son think of these?

The fact that he uses these body sprays on a daily basis silently gives me the thumbs up! As a typical teenager, if you ask him a question, the reply is either a grunt or a ‘sure’. If he didn’t like them they would probably go in the bin. I’ve noticed One Billion has been physically moved from his room more than the others so I assume that’s his favourite.

    Recommended?

What do people want from body sprays? To smell nice. Tick! Varied in scent. Tick! Nicely packaged. Tick! Affordable, so that if and when there’s a need to repurchase it’s easily done. Tick, tick, tick! What more could I or anyone else ask for? Absolutely recommended. Each one could be used by various aged males (and females too I’ve just spritz myself!). These are ideal for everyday use and not just for special occasions and they are less than £1.50 each!

    Available instore at Home Bargains.
