  • The Dupe Brand Designer Fragrances in Home Bargains

Dupes are now part of everyday shopping. Skincare, bath and body products, fragrance and even home fragrance products now resemble the scents and even packaging of well known branded items. One collection of products that is known for being ‘inspired by’ is Designer Fragrances. Their products can be found in a variety of different stores including Home Bargains. But what do they have available?

    Body Washes (Men & Female)

Its great to see that not only are there body washes for women in this range, but also for men as well. The men’s versions look a little more masculine in their simple but practical bottles where as the women’s looks a little softer, more feminine aesthetically.

    Thoughts?

This range has been on the high street for a couple of years now. In my household we’ve used the women’s and men’s body sprays. I’ve found the prices of Designer Fragrances products are affordable, all decent packaging and all smell great. Longevity for the products I’ve used has been ok but you get what you pay for. The price means reapplying or reusing the products regularly is no major issue. Are these accurate dupes? The ones I’ve used definitely are similar to the ‘real’ scents but as stand alone fragrances these are great regardless.

  • 99p Tu Est Belle Body Spray By Designer Fragrances

If you open my bag at any time of day, you will find the same items living in it. One of which is some form of fragrance, normally a body mist/spray. I carry one around with me so if and when I need to freshen up I can. One body spray which has been added to my collection recently is Tu Est Belle by Designer Fragrances. Bought from Home Bargains for 99p for 100ml.

Designer Fragrances Tu Est Belle Body Spray
    Why did I buy this?

I’ve bought and used other Designer Fragrances body sprays and enjoyed using them. This particular fragrance I hadn’t used before and I wanted to try it. Also the fact it was so affordable meant it was an easy, guilt free purchase to make which is a rare thing these days.

    Is this a dupe?

The women and men’s body sprays are meant to resemble well know designer fragrances. I think this is inspired by Lancôme’s La Vie Est Belle. I can’t confirm or deny if this is the case as I haven’t smelt it.

    Packaging

What I like about how Designer Fragrances package their body sprays is the fact they are all simple in look but individual, with each one standing out. All come in a typical aerosol type can, tall, quite thin and they are all coloured differently. Tu Est Belle is a pretty pale shade of purple/pink.

    Fragrance

Tu Est Belle is a feminine and pretty scent. To my nose it’s made up of white florals, a little vanilla, and a touch of something musk like. Sweet, charming, youthful but very classic in how it smells.

    Strength & Longevity

When I first apply this body mist, I would say this is a medium. It’s quite a punchy scent. If I spray this on myself for too long it does become a much stronger scent and a little overpowering, but that’s what I want! I apply this before I got to work and I want it to last for the duration of my time there. Longevity is fair. It does fade strength wise but not too quickly, the same as any other body spray. And that’s why it’s great this is the price it is so there’s no need to be sparing with it. A point to note is I never apply products like this to my skin but only on my clothes.

    Recommended?

Oh yesss! This is a beautiful scent. It’s not a trendy fragrance or an old fashioned one. Tu Est Belle isn’t targeted at any particular age. It’s not for day time or night time use. This fragrance is for anyone, anytime and would smell just as good now as it would in 10 years time because it won’t date. For 99p this is brilliant value and a great buy if you can pick one up.

  • Fragrance Dupes From Designer Fragrances Men’s Body Sprays

It wasn’t that long ago when when designer fragrance ‘copies’ were frowned on. Not only were they not acceptable but they weren’t readily available on the high street. Now, you can go into supermarkets, discount stores and most shops in general and find they are selling products ‘inspired’ by well known scents. Is this ok now? I would say it is. Personally, I have zero shame buying fragrance products like this. My last purchases that fell into this category were Designer Fragrances Men’s Body Sprays in Savore, One Billion and Ventis. All bought from Home Bargains for £1.49 each last month.

    Designer Fragrances Men’s Body Sprays
    Why did I buy these?

For Christmas 2022 I wanted to buy my 13 year old son inexpensive body sprays for stocking fillers. I didn’t want to spend too much but still wanted nice fragrances for him to use. I’ve used the ladies body sprays in this brand before and liked them, so I thought these would be ideal for a young teen which wouldn’t break the bank.

    What did I buy?

I bought 3 different body sprays in the scents of:

    • Ventis
    • One Billion
    • Savore
    Packaging

150ml of fragrance is housed in the typical body spray can dispenser. What I like about these body sprays is they are simple in look but have quite a masculine appearance to them. Each one is a brushed metal colour (Ventis is silver, One Billion is gold and Savore is blue) with a silver lid and silver text on the can. One thing that’s very helpful is at the bottom of each spray is a basic scent description which should help with purchasing the right one for the customer.

    Ventis
    How do these smell?

Ventis is a little musky and slightly herbal with a small amount of sweetness to it. Inspired by the fragrance Aventus. One Billion is quite warming in scent, spicy, sweet. Inspired by the fragrance One Million. Savore is very much zesty based in a citrus way with woody notes to it. This is a little on the powdery side so is quite clean but I feel as if there is some form of white floral in this. Inspired by the fragrance Sauvage.

These all smell very different but all masculine in their own, individual way.

    One Billion
How do these compare to the famous fragrance counterparts?

Honestly? I couldn’t answer that question! I’m not familiar enough with the designer fragrances these body sprays are inspired by to make a confident statement. And I also would like to sit down and have both versions in front of me and compare them. What I would say is scent wise these are great, they smell like actual men’s fragrances rather than body sprays and that’s what counts for me.

    Savore
    Strength & Longevity

Strength wise these do come out quite strong but that strength isn’t constant and will lessen over time. Longevity is the same as I expected compared to the women’s body sprays. The scent doesn’t totally disappear as I can still detect it, but these do need to be reapplied to kick start the fragrance to a good strength. So longevity is decent but not ever lasting. It’s important to note my son applies this onto his clothes and under his arms (give me strength!) so this is based more on use on clothing rather than skin.

    Designer Fragrances Body Sprays
What does my son think of these?

The fact that he uses these body sprays on a daily basis silently gives me the thumbs up! As a typical teenager, if you ask him a question, the reply is either a grunt or a ‘sure’. If he didn’t like them they would probably go in the bin. I’ve noticed One Billion has been physically moved from his room more than the others so I assume that’s his favourite.

    Recommended?

What do people want from body sprays? To smell nice. Tick! Varied in scent. Tick! Nicely packaged. Tick! Affordable, so that if and when there’s a need to repurchase it’s easily done. Tick, tick, tick! What more could I or anyone else ask for? Absolutely recommended. Each one could be used by various aged males (and females too I’ve just spritz myself!). These are ideal for everyday use and not just for special occasions and they are less than £1.50 each!

  • Budget Friendly Designer Fragrances Body Mists

I love fragrances! Who doesn’t? Whether it’s fragrances for the home or the body I love anything that’s going to smell nice. What I don’t like is paying high prices for it, especially fragrances for the body. That’s why most of the time I will buy body mists or sprays. They’re affordable, easy to carry around with me and I don’t care if my mini me of a daughter uses them 24/7. So I couldn’t help but pick up 3 (yes 3!) Designer Fragrances Body Sprays from Home Bargains recently for 99p each.

    Designer Fragrances Body Sprays
    Why did I buy these?

It wasn’t hard to figure out when I saw these they were inspired by designer fragrance perfumes. I was actually on the look out for some body mists anyway for my daughter and thought these would be ideal. Perfect price, smelt nice (yes I had a cheeky sniff!) and something both myself and my daughter would use.

    Why do these look familiar?

Home Bargains sell air fresheners from this same brand and they are based on designer fragrances too. They’ve been very popular on social media posts I’ve spotted. So expect the same sort of thing but to fragrance yourself, not your home or your car!

    What did I get?

Black Poppy-vanilla and black coffee (possibly inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s Black Opium?).

Daisee-floral including jasmine and wild berries (inspired by Marc Jacob’s Daisy).

Xalien-floral with amber and jasmine (inspired by Mugler’s Alien).

Black Poppy, Xalien & Daisee Body Sprays
    How do these smell?

Xalien is floral based. It’s feminine with woody notes, which gives it added depth. Quite a heavy, musky scent but not overpowering.

Daisee is the perfect Spring/Summer fragrance. Another floral based fragrance but this one is is quite uplifting and energising with the smallest fruitiness to it. It’s quite youthful, fun and perfect for day time use.

Black Poppy has a creamy, vanilla element to it giving it a sweetness and there’s floral thrown in stopping it from being too sweet.

All three of these fragrances are very different but equally smell gorgeous.

Do these smell like what they are inspired by?

Xalien and Daisee do. Although I’ve never owned the actual perfumes I know what they smell like and these body mists remind me a lot of them. Black Poppy versus Black Opium? No idea as I can’t recall smelling that designer fragrance.

    Strength & Longevity

When first applied, all of these body spray’s were medium in strength. I sprayed these directly onto my clothes and the scent was immediately obvious. But this strength disappeared quite quickly. It’s longevity wasn’t very long. These are the type of body sprays I find need to be heavily applied and often if you want to get that fragrance hit and enjoy it.

    Recommended?

Although I wish these were stronger and last longer, I actually WOULD recommend these! Why? They are what they are, cheap body mists NOT perfumes! They smell beautiful and would appeal to many people. Throw these in your bag, use them as often as you want without feeling the need to save them for best. Give them to your teens to enjoy, and not have the scent linger too strongly or too long on them. And if they lose them it’s no big deal. These are quick fix fragrances to use up nothing more nothing less.

So if you’re looking for a quick fragrance fix on a budget and happy to reapply regularly if needed, grab these! But don’t compare their quality to an actual perfume although scent wise these are very good.
