  • Fragrantasia’s Magonlia Orange Blossom Wax Melt

If I had a list of all the fragrances I wanted to try in wax melt form, the list would be absolutely massive! There is only so many hours in the day to melt wax, and only so many wax warmers a woman can own, so it takes time for me to try out all my wax goodies. But one wax melt I have really wanted to try over the last few years has got to be Magnolia Orange Blossom. I was kindly given a selection of wax melts, including this one, from Amy at Fragrantasia.

Fragrantasia’s Magnolia Orange Blossom Wax Melt

    Why this one?

It was actually Amy who has mentioned on so many occasions how this is her favourite wax melt fragrance. And many others in the wax community I am a part of have raved about what a lovely scent this is. So I wanted to see for myself if this was any good.

    The look.

I love the variety of wax melt shapes from Fragrantasia. This wax melt is is a creamy orange coloured multi petalled flower shape. Great size, very chunky and perfect to pop the whole thing in a warmer. I love these individually shaped melts because there’s no cutting or breaking involved, easy to store and super cute.

    Fragrance.

Not what I was expecting! The scent name was absolutely no help to me when guessing how this smells if I’m honest. I wrongly assumed this would smell like a citrus, sharp orange scent with sweet florals mixed in. NOPE! Straight away this is very unusual. It has a similar style in scent as the usual laundry ones on the market. It’s clean, fresh, powdery notes with lots of strength to it. Mixed with this is white florals. So not your sweet, feminine blooms you may have sniffed before. These add to the cleanness of this scent. Think of a slightly earthy, clean floral laundry scent which packs a punch but isn’t eye watering like a lot of traditional laundry scents. This is how to smells to me.

    In melt.

This went from an orange flower to a pool of wax quite quickly as it was a warm day. No glitter, pigment, no shapes, purely orange wax. Which to be honest was still nice to look at because unless it’s Halloween, I don’t seem to purchase much wax this colour. It’s a great Summer-inspired wax solid and warmed through.

    Strength & Longevity.

On both of these scores this did not disappoint! The scent was there before the wax warmer was even turned on. It became more stronger the more liquid it became. Melting away happily in my kitchen, this spread through the downstairs of my house like wild fire! So strength wise it’s way up there. Longevity wise, this surpassed 3 days of continuous fragrance. By Day 3, the strength had become a little less as you can imagine. But my wax warmer was on for at least 5 hours a day at a time. 10 out of 10 for both strength and longevity.

Since this wasn’t what I expected, I did a lot of thinking on the lines of do I actually like this? And I do! The fragrance is different and not something I’ve smelt before. It’ a great alternative to the laundry scents out there we all are aware of and probably used. It’s not as in your face as standard laundry scents and is softened, but still has a full on force. The white florals add to this and gives it a more broader appeal rather than making it too feminine in fragrance. So, great scent, great strength and great longevity RECCOMENDED! Oh, did I mention price? This wax melt is only £1.00! Great price to try various scents without spending too much at Fragrantasia! Grab your Magnolia Orange Blossom wax melt here. I dare you not to add more waxy treats to your basket! Go on, I won’t tell!x

  • Fragrantasia’s Blackberry Mint Wax Melt Chunk Wax Pot

There are a few things I look for when it comes to wax melts. How they look, how they smell, overall quality and price. One wax vendor that delivers well on all of these is Fragrantasia, who over the years I’ve bought various shapes, sizes and fragrances in wax melt form. One wax melt I’ve been using and enjoying recently from this wax vendor is Blackberry Mint Wax Melt Chunk Pot. So, what is it like?

Fragrantasia’s Blackberry Mint Wax Melt Chunk Pot
    Packaging

Blackberry Mint Wax Melt Chunk Pot comes in a plastic, sturdy, clear, lidded pot. Label is on the lid telling you vendor and fragrance name. It’s very basic packaging and labelling which does the job keep the wax safe, but not very eye catching.

    Appearance

There’s a reason why this is called a wax melt chunk pot. It has a base of lilac coloured wax with random and generously sized lilac coloured chunks of wax bursting through it. It’s such a simple creation in look wise but visually so pleasing on the eye!

    Fragrance

Blackberry Mint has a tart, dark berry type element to it which is softening by a sprinkle of sweetness to it. The mint side of it isn’t your typical peppermint or spearmint type of mint, but a much fresher, punchier and less sweet variety. More herbal and earthy, which really packs a punch and works perfectly with the fruity side of this wax melt chunk.

    In melt

I used a quarter of the pot, and found this melted slowly. The chunks remained visible while swirling into a sea of two tones of purple. Absolutely beautiful and made such a pretty wax pool.

    Strength & Longevity

This is STRONG! I had this on while cooking and you wouldn’t think I was cooking. It’s not overpowering but definitely has a kick to it! In regards to longevity, I’ve had this melting for roughly 7 hours over 2 days so far and it’s still kicking out fragrance. Overall performance wise is excellent!

    Recommended?

This is a very unusual fragrance for a wax melt. It’s that perfect blend of fresh and fruity which is different and not the typical scent you would think of. It smells incredible, lasts long, great strength and highly recommended if you like your fruity scents with a difference!

Unfortunately, Fragrantasia no longer makes wax melts so this wax melt chunk pot isn’t available. But if you do find a wax melt with this killer scent combination somewhere else, give it a try!

  • The Sweet Inspired Fragrantasia’s Cotton Candy Wax Melt

What people like fragrance wise is a very personal thing. One of the fragrance types I like are sweet inspired scents. I LOVE them! So I was very happy to receive a selection of wax melts gifted by wax vendor Fragrantasia, which included Cotton Candy. So was it as good as I had hoped?

    Fragrantasia’s Cotton Candy Wax Melt
    How did it look?

Fragrantasia’s Cotton Candy Wax Melt came in a small, light pink flower shape. Chunky and thick but ideal to pop in whole into a wax warmer. No cutting or snapping, just use and go!

    Fragrance

This particular wax melt has a sugary sweet scent to it, with hints of creamy vanilla and strawberries mixed into it. If you think of what cotton candy the fluffy sweet smells like, it’s very similar to this. Gorgeous!

    In melt

This wax melt melted slowly and evenly, leaving a soft pink coloured wax pool. The scent I could smell straight away while it warmed through, and was exactly the same scent as it was before melting.

    Strength & Longevity

Strength wise this is a medium. I melted this in my kitchen and it filled this small space perfectly. It made it feel cosy, inviting and smelt beautiful. This was melting for over two days for at least 5 hours per day, with the scent still present. Cotton Candy Wax Melt only got changed because I wanted a different scent from a different piece of wax, not because the scent had disappeared. So not only great in strength but lasted well too.

    Recommended?

If you love your sweet inspired scents you will love this. It smells so good, literally mouth watering, but not sickly sweet or synthetic in smell. Very cute in look, great strength and longevity and this size of wax melt retails for only £1.00!

  • Fragrantasia’s Violet Laundry Wax Melt Chunks Pot

Wax melts has been one of my favourite ways to fragrance my home for a long time. will never end. They come in a variety of fragrances, looks, sizes and are affordable. Not to mention they are so easy to use. I was lucky to receive some wax melts and wax melt chunk pots from Amy of Fragrantasia. New fragrances to her wax melt business, she asked me to try these new releases out and share what I thought about them. The first one to be melted was Violet Laundry Wax Melt Chunk Pot.

    Packaging

Violet Laundry came in a lidded, clear pot. Simple but easy to store away and keep the wax safe so very practical.

    How does it look?

This has a base of soft pink coloured wax with bubble gum blue coloured wax chunks running through it. These chunks made a very simple looking wax look very appealing and interesting to look at on the eye.

    Fragrance

I wasn’t too sure what Violet Laundry would or could smell like. I found this was familiar in fragrance to me and reminded me of parma violet sweets. Slightly sugary, slightly floral but very fresh and clean thanks to it having a powdery element to it. Beautiful fragrance and the type of fragrance NO ONE wouldn’t like!

    In melt

I popped in a quarter of this wax pot into my wax warmer. While it was slowly melting it created a gorgeous wax pool, where the blue chunks and pink wax slowly merged into one. The scent smelt exactly the same warmed through as it did when solid, and it filled my small but perfectly formed kitchen from corner to corner.

    Strength & Longevity

I would describe the strength of Violet Laundry as being medium strength. There’s no mistaking its there, its not hiding in the air its THERE. I walked into my kitchen and it smelt so good, and fought its way bravely through cooking smells but the scent itself wasn’t overwhelming. Longevity was great. It’s a steady scent that continued to throw itself out for hours and hours and just kept going.

    Recommended?

This wax fragrance wise was a mix of things I love to smell. I love fruity/sweetie scents and the typical fresh and clean laundry scents too. With the floral element thrown in, this made Violet Laundry Wax Melt Chunk Pot a killer combination of beautiful fragrances that all worked together perfectly. Not to mention how this wax looked made this a brilliant piece of wax to own and to melt. Absolutely recommended because it’s one of those fragrances most people will love and different to the norm wise.
