  • New Sol de Janerio Dupes In Home Bargains!

I don’t think consumers are tired of dupes on the high street are they? Everywhere you go, every supermarket you enter or store you shop in there will be some fragrance, body product or hand wash ‘inspired’ by a well known product or brand. And just in time for Christmas, discount store Home Bargains has dropped some new Sol de Janerio dupes. So what have they got?

Santa de Cruz 3 Fragranced Body Spritz Gift Set

This set of 3 40ml body spritz come in the same fragrances as the travel sets, which is Vanilla Almond & Salted Caramel, Cherry Blossom & Sweet Plum and Pink Lychee & Dragon Fruit. These come boxed and cost £2.99.

Santa de Cruz 3 Fragranced Body Spritz Gift Set
    First impressions?

These are good looking sets at great prices. The travel set is very attractively presented. The body spritz set I thought could have stood out more when it comes to the packaging but it still does the job. The fragrances and look of these products do have a resemblance to products in the Sol de Janerio brand, which isn’t hard to miss. Are these good dupes? Can’t answer that in regards to how these products perform compared to the ‘real’ counterparts. What I would say is expect some similarities e.g look and scents, but don’t expect exact copies.

    Availabilty

As usual, who knows how soon all stores will get this range, how much stock will be available or how long these will last. But with Christmas around the corner, if these are Christmas gifts or stocking fillers you want, buy them sooner rather than later!

  • Everything Gingerbread This Christmas In Home Bargains!

A fragrance and visual design which is very popular this time of year and for Christmas, is gingerbread. Not surprising. The scent is perfect for colder seasons with it being spice heavy and warming. And the actual design of a gingerbread man is incredibly cute! So you will find lots of products that have this theme. I found ALOT in Home Bargains which could tick a lot of gifts off many people’s Christmas list. What did I spot in Home Bargains for home fragrance, bath and body products scented or inspired by gingerbread?

    Gingerbread House Bath Set

A fun, and quite large gingerbread house style box contains a vanilla scented body lotion, bath shimmer and gingerbread shaped bath fizzer. Quite a sizeable gift idea, nicely packaged, full sized products and only £2.99.

Ashton & Moore’s Gingerbread Biscuit Hand Wash

It’s great to see seasonal hand washes. Great for practical use and for gifting. This practical hand wash is nicely themed and packaged, incredibly generous in size at 750ml and only £1.49!

Wickford & Co’s Luxury Air Freshener

It’s easy to forget about fragrancing the car if you drive (I do). So it’s great to see seasonal scents available rather than the typical ones available all year. This is quite an attractive looking air freshener and only £1.49.

Wickford & Co’s Luxury Air Freshener
Wickford & Co’s Pack of 3 Air Fresheners

If you want other scents besides gingerbread, but still seasonal, this pack of 3 car air fresheners is perfect! This set includes gingerbread, warm apple & cinnamon and mulled wine. These air fresheners are the cardboard type which we’ve all used at some point, and costs only 99p.

Wickford & Co’s Pack of 3 Air Fresheners
    Candy Lane Gingerbread Reed Diffuser

Reed diffusers are a great home fragrance alternative to a candle or wax melt, and Candy Cane Gingerbread Reed Diffuser looks well made, great size of fragrance (100ml), and like all the other products I’ve seen well packaged to give as a gift. £2.99.

    Candy Lane Gingerbread Reed Diffuser
Wickford & Co’s Gingerbread Scented Gift Set

This possibly could be a new gift set for this year as I haven’t seen it before. But included in this is a reed diffuser (100ml) and a candle (125g). It’s a shame the box doesn’t have a similar colourway as the items inside it, in my opinion, but does look festive. £3.99.

Wickford & Co’s Gingerbread Scented Gift Set
Wickford & Co Gingerbread Wax Melts & Candles

Both the wax melts and the small jar candles are always popular. I’m not surprised because they both smell so good with a good strength to them both. I’ve used the wax melts and find these are really good, especially for only 79p. The jar candles are only 99p so equally just as cheap!

Wickford & Co Gingerbread Wax Melts & Candles

So these are just a few gingerbread inspired, scented or packaged home fragrance, bath and body care products I’ve found in Home Bargains. And guess what? All were under £4.00! So if this is a scent you want to gorge on for yourself or gifting, it might be worthwhile having a look at some of these products in your local store.

Many people love candles to fragrance their homes or use as home décor items. That’s why they make the perfect gifts especially for Christmas. Autumn and Christmas inspired fragrances are now available in shops, which is a great way to make any room in a home feel cosy and comforting. For teachers, neighbours, friends or gifts for yourself, candles are an affordable purchase which most people love to receive. Here are a few candle gift ideas for Christmas I’ve spotted in Home Bargains

Wickford & Co’s Christmas Advent Tealight Calendar

There are two versions of this advent calendar. Both contain 24 tealights in 4 different fragrances, which is Gingerbread, French Vanilla, Mulled Wine and Warm Apple & Cinnamon. The difference between the two is the packaging. Each one is beautifully boxed in a traditional individually doored advent but are coloured differently with a different design on the front. Both festive in appearance, great size and only £3.49.

Wickford & Co’s Tealight Advent Calendars
Wickford & Co Large Jar Candles

Gingerbread has to be one of the most popular scents for this time of year. But let’s not forget other fragrances available in the large Wickford & Co glass jar candles. Warm Apple & Cinnamon and Mulled Wine are both available, great for the Autumn and Winter season fragrance wise and perfect look wise as well. Weighty and large and only £2.99 each.

    Wickford & Co’s Large Candles
    Candy Lane Jar Candles

Nicely presented with modern illustrated labels that has a traditional twist to them, is what makes Candy Lane candles stand out. All come in clear glass jars with a tin lid, and are a good size. These come in Gingerbread, Snowflake Wishes and Nordic Pine, which covers many different fragrance types e.g bakery and spicy, fresh and woody, sweet and slightly fruity. I’ve bought these as gifts in the past and they always go down well. £2.99 each.

    Candy Lane Jar Candles

Have you seen any of these in your local store and have you bought them any of them? If you’re struggling to buy a small, inexpensive gift for someone and not too sure what to buy, definitely have a look at these.

  • New Skincare In Home Bargains!

Some people love skincare and enjoy using products. Some people buy and use it because it’s part of a daily routine. I’m definitely the person who loves it, but I also appreciate the fact everyone’s budget and needs are different when it comes to skincare. Not everyone has the disposable income to spend on luxury lotions and potions, or even want to. So cheaper alternatives are welcome. I had a walk down first aisle in Home Bargains to see what new products they had and how much they were. So what did I find?

    Beelicious Cleansing Jelly

I’ve never heard of this brand before. I don’t even know how good it is but Beelicious will appeal to some people. This brand/range includes a Honey & Squalene Cleansing Jelly. Not much on the packaging information wise on the product. But I assume it’s designed to be a non-stripping, hydrating, gentle but effective cleanser. £3.99 for 200ml.

    Beelicious Cleansing Jelly
    Beelicious Face Serum

This serum should be easy to slot into any skincare routine. The Beelicious Face Serum seems to have some soothing ingredients in this (aloe vera, honey) which should also hydrate. I don’t think it’s geared towards anti-ageing or specific skin concerns so quite generic. £2.49 for 50ml.

    Beelicious Face Serum
Beelicious Vitamin C & Niacinamide Face Cream

Containing vitamin c and niacinamide, these ingredients can help give skin a glow by improving the texture and tone of it. So this Vitamin C & Niacinamide Face Cream should not only moisturise but help the skin look healthier. £2.99 for 50ml.

    Beelicious Face Cream
Revolution Skin’s Medowfoam Milk Oil Cleanser

This isn’t a recent new edition to the shelves of Home Bargains, but I thought for the brand and price it was still worth a mention. Revolution Skin’s Medowfoam Milk Oil Cleanser looks great for those who like a more luxurious cleanser and possibly have a more drier skin type. Great to use as a general cleanser but also a make-up remover, whilst leaving the skin clean, soft and smooth. £1.59 for 200ml.

Revolution Skin’s Meadowfoam Milk Oil Cleanser
    Whind Brightening Overnight Eye Mask

Whind Brightening Overnight Eye Mask is an eye product that aims to brighten the under eye area, help with puffiness and smooth out this area. With ingredients to help with these results such as caffeine, meadowfoam seed oil, reishi mushroom and niacinamide. £3.99 for for 15ml.

    Whind’s Eye Mask

Did any of these grab my attention? Price points were good, loved the packaging but the only product I’m drawn to is Revolution Skin’s Medowfoam Milk Oil Cleanser. I don’t just like it because of the low price point but I like the sound of the cleanser in general. It’s also a brand I know with a decent set of ingredients.
