  • New So…? Body Mists In Superdrug!

Who doesn’t love a body mist? Most of us, men and women, have some form of body mist in our bag, pocket, desk drawer or car. It’s a cheap and easy why to smell nice and freshen ourselves up. For me, body mists need to be affordable. I don’t use them in the same way as an actual perfume. I’m heavy handed, spray like a manic and regularly. The price of whatever mist I’m using needs to be reasonably low. So it was nice to see a body mist brand I use often, So…?, have some new fragrances available in Superdrug. So what did I find?

New So…? Body Mists in Superdrug!
    Fragrances

4 different fragrances available, all seem drink inspired, which I loved! Coco de Mango, Matcha Macadamia, Iced Vanilla Latte and Cherry Bubbles. Coco de Mango I imagine having a tropical smell to it. Fruity, sweet with a very sunny blend of coconut and mango, which screams summer to me. Matcha Macadamia very much on the matcha trend. Will this have an earthy, nuttiness to it? If that’s the case I don’t think it will be liked by everyone, but will be unique. Iced Vanilla Latte, creamy, comforting vanilla with a dash of coffee. Cherry Bubbles… I’m hoping is sweet, cherry berry like with a fizz to it.

So…? Coco de Mango Body Mist
    Packaging

How these body mists are packaged is totally different to other body mists in the So…? range. The bottles are quite chunky, with the widest part at the top and goes in towards the bottom. Typical spray top to release the fragrance. What stood out for me, not only the shape of the bottle, but their colouring. Each one coloured in a way that matches the fragrance name e.g Coco de Mango is orange and Ice Vanilla Latte beige. These stand out, very fun and very different.

So…? Ice Vanilla Latte Body Mist
    Size & price

Each body mist is 150ml. I couldn’t find these on Superdrug’s website but in my local store were only £2.49, which is great value.

    So…? Matcha Macadamia Body Mist
    Thoughts?

Affordable, great mix of fragrances which will be perfect for wearing during summer and nicely packaged. Do I want to try these out? Yes I do! Will I buy at least one? Probably, why not? * These are available on So…?’s website, along with other scents available. Price? £4.99 each!

    So…? Cherry Bubbles Body Mist
  • New! So…? Fragrance Caramel Cookies Body Mist

Fragrance is a very individual thing. We all have our likes and dislikes, that’s what makes wearing fragrance a very personal thing. One of the types of scents I enjoy wearing and smelling is what I would call bakery style scents. Anything that resembles a sweet treat like a dessert I love. So I had to try the new Caramel Cookies Body Mist from So…? Fragrance. Did it give me a sugar high or was it a crashing disappointment?

    So…? Caramel Cookies Body Mist
    Packaging

All So…? body mists are packaged the same. They come in a clear, plastic spray top bottle. The label on the back has an image that peeps through the bottle giving it a pattern. But what stands out with these body mists is how the sides are curved in. Easy and comfortable to hold, and by look alone I know what brand of body mist this is.

    Fragrance

To sum this up easily and quickly, the scent of this reminds me of caramelised biscuits! Sweet, slightly buttery biscuit with caramel that’s nearly but not at the point of burning. It smells mouth watering and ticks all the scent boxes for any bakery scent lover!

    Strength & Longevity

When I initially apply this, the strength is medium. You can’t mistake the smell, it’s there and it’s not a delicate, soft scent. What I do find is I can be heavy handed with this and not feel as if I’m overdoing it, by making it heady or strong. Longevity wise is what I expect from a body mist. It’s there straight away, and continues to be noticeable for a few hours but strength dies down. And by the start of the afternoon, if applied in the morning, it’s there faintly but not totally disappeared.

    So…? body mists
    Recommended?

I’m slightly biased on this one but purely because of how this smells, this is totally recommended! It’s not a sophisticated scent but I love it and it smells exactly how you hope it would. Strength and longevity is standard for a body mist. It’s no worse or no better than any other I’ve used before. But I still think it’s worth a buy!

Regular price from Superdrug is £3.99 for 100ml. I bought this when on promotion for £2.35. If you can buy this for the price I paid, it’s a great buy!

  • June’s Round Up, What Products Did I Use?

June was a busy month for me. Filled with important (and costly!) birthdays and lots of other things to keep me on my toes, which is called life. But as usual it didn’t stop me using and enjoying (well, sometimes) products for the face, body, bath, shower and home fragrance. So what products did I use in the month of June?

    Products I used in June
    Aveda’s Radiant Skin Refiner

I’ve heard of Aveda as a brand before but assumed they just did haircare, but I was wrong. They also have skincare products under their umbrella too. I really liked using their Radiant Skin Refiner, which is basically a facial scrub. Great size (so would last ages), easy to apply, an effective exfoliator which left my skin feeling and looking smoother and softer.

Bubble T’s Hydrogel Under Eye Patches

For 49p Bubble T’s Hydrogel Under Eye Patches were a pretty obvious purchase to make. They won’t make a huge difference to this area of the face but they are fun to use, cooling (even more so when put in the fridge) and affordable!

Bubble T’s Hydrogel Under Eye Patches
Primark’s PS Elements Night Pour Homme Eau de Toilette

Bought for my teenage son, Primark’s PS Elements Night Pour Homme Eau de Toilette was a perfect fragrance to purchase for him. Smells great and suitable for any age, simple packaging but stands out and didn’t cost me a small fortune!

Glow’s Raspberry Candy Floss Shower Gel

A beautifully sweet and lightly sugared scented shower gel from small business Glow in the form of Raspberry Candy Floss. Very gentle on the skin, foams up beautifully, lovely fragrance and created an insane bath!

Glow’s Raspberry Candy Floss Shower Gel
So…? Unique Floral Night Body Mist

So…? Unique Floral Night Body Mist is the body mist I never knew I needed in my life! The perfect fragrance if you love a mix of sweet, fruity and floral because it is sooooo good! Ideal to use all year round but perfect for Summer time use.

So…? Unique’s Floral Night Body Mist
Treacle Moon’s Frosted Candy Angel Shower & Bath Gel

Fragrance wise, this is such a good shower & bath gel from Treacle Moon, that you will wonder which is better between this and LUSH’s Snow Fairy scent. Frosted Candy Anger Shower & Bath Gel is 500ml of super bubble making, fragrant bath and shower product that will keep your skin clean and pampered for a good amount of time.

Treacle Moon’s Frosted Candy Angel Shower & Bath Gel
Feather & Down’s Sweet Dreams Bath & Shower Steamers

For 99p, these bath and shower steamers from Feather & Down, purchased from Home Bargains, was a steal! This brand doesn’t normally have such a low price point on their products. But it wasn’t 99p worth spending for me because I didn’t feel they were the best as a bath fizzer or as a shower steamer. Great idea, looks good, eye catching packaging but the actual product was a let down for me.

Feather & Down’s Sweet Dreams Bath & Shower Steamer
Shea Moisture’s Power Greens Hair Care Range

Finding the right hair care products is harder than skincare in my opinion, or at least it is for me. I found Shea Moisture’s Power Greens products easy to use, great at cleaning the hair and scalp without stripping it leaving my hair softer and more manageable.

Shea Moisture’s Moringa & Avocado Power Greens Haircare

So these were some the products I used last month. Did I have any favourites? Probably not, as they were all so different. But quite a few I would happily repurchase again for the second time.

  • May Round Up, What Products Did I Use?

May finally was a good month for me. Why? The constant running and blocked nose thanks to hay fever slowly left the building and my senses finally returned to their normal glory. It means I’ve been able to use lots of products that I could actually SMELL and appreciate and I could finally review. So what products did I use in the month of May?

    Products used in May
Snow Fairy Bath Bomb from LUSH

This was the first I’ve ever used this bath bomb and I can understand what all the fuss has been about over the years! Snow Fairy Bath Bomb smells amazing, looks super pretty, colours the bath in a lovely shade of pink and is surprisingly very moisturising! Definitely a winner for me!

Dirty Work’s Bahama Balm-A Coconut Body Balm

Given to me by a friend, I was hoping Dirty Works Bahama Balm-A Coconut Body Balm would be a tropical hit of moisture. But I found this to be too light weight for my skin although it smelt pretty nice. Not for me, but passed to my teenage son so it doesn’t go to waste.

Dirty Work’s Bahama Balm-A Coconut Body Balm
Selfless by Hyram’s Centella & Green Tea Gel Cleanser

A purchase I resisted for many weeks but finally caved in. Selfless by Hyram’s Centella & Green Tea Gel Cleanser is a really good, non fragranced and easy to use cleanser. It’s gentle on the skin but effective on removing dirt and sun cream. And this was brilliantly priced so much I could afford to buy a few for future use.

Selfless by Hyram’s Centella & Green Tea Gel Cleanser
Yankee Candle’s Lemon Lavender Fragrance Spheres

For £1.99 this makes a Yankee Candle product a good buy. But my own personal experience made me think this wasn’t money well spent. This smelt nice but the strength just wasn’t there. I’ve heard and read people have found these to be very good, so maybe I chose the wrong fragrances. But this is a no from me and I won’t buy another one unfortunately.

Glow’s Crime Scene Investigators April Wax Subscription Box

I’ve fallen in love with all the subscription boxes I’ve received from Glow. They are brimmed with products which makes great value, imaginatively themed and fantastic quality. Crime Scene Investigators April Wax Subscription Box (which I won in a competition) was no exception! Crafted with care with a mix of unusual and fabulous scents, I loved every piece in this collection.

Smooch Vixen By So…? Eau de Parfum

I’m a great believer good fragrances don’t need to be expensive. Smooch Vixen By So…? Eau de Parfum is a beautifully scented fragrance housed in a very cute bottle. This wasn’t expensive and currently on their website for under £5.00 for 30ml. Great for all ages and as I’ve discovered the perfect fragrance to be nicked by a pre-teen!

Smooch by So…? Vixen Eau de Parfum

So that is my May round up done and dusted! Which one was my favourite? That’s a hard question to answer. But this month I enjoyed more products than not enjoying. Let’s see what June has in store, can’t wait!
