  • My Fragrantasia Wax Melt Open Box

    Let’s talk wax melts. There is no doubt that fragrancing rooms and homes with wax melts is still incredibly popular. It is in my house that’s for sure! I have been super good and not bought any so far in 2022, my last purchase of 2021 came from a wax vendor called Fragrantasia. Rather than it being one or two pieces that arrived, I paid for an open box. And for any wax melt lover that hasn’t used this service before it’s a game changer!

    What’s an Open Box?

    An open box is quite a common thing with some small wax melt companies. You can order what you want and add to your order whenever you like. When you want the whole lot shipped to you, you pay for postage and your order is delivered. I might fancy 3 wax melts today so I order them. I then get paid in 2 weeks and I buy 4 more then. Oh, there’s a sale on so I’m going to buy 10. And I’ve now decided that’s all I want so I pay my p&p and get all 17 pieces posted to me. And THAT’S what I did with Fragrantasia. I bought bit by bit of what I fancied and then closed it when I was done.

    What did I get?

    I got quite a few things over a number of months. Some were popped into Christmas presents but some I’ve kept for myself. My open box included Halloween inspired scents, everyday best seller waxes and Christmas ones too. Here are some of the scents included:

    I took advantage of having an open box and I bought a range of different scents from different times of the year. Have I started melting these? Unfortunately not! I’ve been kept busy with my wax melt advent calendar from Fragrantasia so my wax warmers have been very busy since December! But I’m very excited to try all of these as they look and smell amazing (from their little packets).

    So, if like me you love your wax and buy them from small businesses who specialise in making and/or selling them, find out if they do an open box. I’ve reviewed various wax melts from Fragrantasia and been more than happy with what I’ve tried so I highly recommend them. I’m so pleased to see them back after their Christmas break. Their website is up and running, with some fantastic blends and shapes ready to be melted in your wax warmer of choice.

  • B Blissful Tranquility Wax Melts

    Like all of our senses as humans, the sense of smell is important. Being surrounded by nice scents can help create a mood. And this is exactly why I love using wax melts! Walking into a room that smells good is such a nice and welcoming experience. And this explains my slight wax addiction. Recently, I purchased a selection of wax melts from a wax vendor called B Blissful. One of the sets of wax melts I bought was called Tranquility.

    Why did I buy this one? The name. Rather than go for my usual scent faourites, I wanted something relaxing and enjoyable. Tranquility, I hoped, would provide that.

    How does this look? In this pack I got two wax melts. Very cute in appearance. Both shaped liked ice lollies. Baby blue in colouring. Packaged in a clear plastic little bag which had the ingredients list on the back along with scent name.

    Scent. This is one of those fragrances you have to smell a few times to really get it! I got a clear, sharp and zesty lemon. Not strong but there and very clean. It has an effervescence to it, a fizz almost. Despite this being quite an uplifting scent, its also incredibly relaxing too. A great citrus based scent that doesn’t go down the typical, syrupy sweet strong fragrance road.

    In melt. There is something so satisfying watching shapes melt as they heat up and this was no exception! I used one melt. Despite this wax melt being small, it took a little time to melt. Seeing the top of the lolly shape poke out through its liquid pool was fun. What was left was a baby blue coloured wax pool with an added shimmer to it. The scent I found was quite delicate. While melting it travelled in a non obvious way, but it was there and I felt it softened the air in the room with its scent.

    Strength & Longevity. I melted this in the kitchen. The strength I found to be light. To be honest, I wasn’t sure whether it was too light in strength and whether I should have thrown in melt number 2. But on reflection this strength is actually perfect for what it is. Fragrance shouldn’t always blow your head off and this didn’t. Longevity was good. This melted over 2 days ( before my usual wax change over ) for a good number of hours and the scent and strength remained constant.

    Who would like this? Anyone that loves their fruity scents but not sweet fruity will like this. Wanting something clean, quite fresh with a citrus twist? If that’s you, you would want this. To be honest, this is one of those scents many people would like anyway because it has a broad appeal to it.

    Recommended? Of course, can’t you tell? Absolutely adorable in look and perfect size to use in a warmer. Lovely scent which for me screams Spring. Lasted so well with the perfect strength for it to boot. And these wax melts are super affordable! Now, when I bought these I did get a fabulous price as they were at a sale price ( 50p ). BUT if you want this same shape, a set of 4 will only cost you £1.50. So hardly a need to file for bankruptcy!

  • Pretty Home Aromas Wax Melt Autumn Bundle

    Autumn as a season is definitely my favourite time of the year, closely followed by Winter. There’s just something about it which I love. Cooler days and nights, leaves turning from green to shades or orange, yellow and red…I just love it! I also find that when it comes to home fragrance in the forms of candles and wax melts, the more Autumnal scents really excite me. So is it any wonder that I recently bought fragranced wax melts, pots and bars from Pretty Home Aromas in their Autumn Bundle? Nope!

    Why did I order this? I’ve bought wax from Pretty Home Aromas a few times in the past, and I follow them on Instagram. I’ve always found their wax pieces to stand out visually which is what attracted me in the first place to them. They released this bundle which coincided with them relaunching their brand. The released pictures of this set on their feed blew me away! Each piece looked beautiful, all the scents were the type I would happily melt and the price was outstanding. £19.99 including delivery!

    What was included in the Autumn Bundle?

    4 wax pots. Scented in Fireside. Pumpkin Souffle. Toasted Toes. Peppermint Eucalyptus.

    4 snap bars. Scented in Pepper, Maple and Cedar.Hot Buttered Popcorn. Cinnamon Caramel Swirl. Crackling Embers.

    1 wax melt. Scented in Apple & Cinnamon.

    Appearance. Each piece are absolutely stunners! It’s obvious so much time, thought and love went into making these waxy treasures. Great variety of shapes and sizes from the small wriggly shaped wax snap bars to the large 80g pots loving covered in glitter with a leave shape embedded in the middle. All the colours are very in keeping with Autumn, with shapes such as pumpkins being visible and keeping up with the theme. I have to say this is one of the most stunning wax collections that’s ever graced my doorstep!

    Scent. So many different ones are included in this collection, but again all of them scream Autumn. All providing that cosy stay inside wrapped in a blanket feel or take a brisk walk outside type of vibe. To give you an idea on how some of these smell fragrance wise, here are a few of the scents from this collection:

    Fireside. A manly base to it which is clean and fresh with a little musk and woody notes.

    Pumpkin Souffle. Creamy and bakery based, with a hint of warming spices such as cinnamon with pumpkin of course in the mix.

    Peppermint Eucalyptus. This has a minty coolness with a herbal base to it. Its not overwhelming or typical mint wise in scent. Think less syrupy sweet more toned down and rounded aromatherapy.

    Toasted Toes. This has a delicate floral to it which makes it very pretty. A little woodiness is mixed in with it which gives it an edgy depth.

    Strength & Longevity. There is SO MUCH WAX in this collection I haven’t melted it all! In fact very little of it to be honest. I don’t have enough wax warmers, time, but more importantly these are too beautiful to melt its so difficult!

    Pepper, Maple and Cedar wax snap bar was a good, strong piece of wax! I really didn’t need to use much, half the bar. And goodness me the scent was magical, fresh and the perfect outdoor inspired Autumnal scent! This little piece of wax lasted a good 4 days of melting for around 15-20hrs.

    Recommended? This particular bundle/set was limited edition and probably won’t be coming back. BUT I couldn’t recommend this set or any of the individual scents and wax pieces enough! Beautifully made and presented, great scents with matching longevity and an absolute steal for £19.99 with free p & p!

    Some of these pieces are available for purchase individually. But what I can say is please keep your eyes open for other bundle offers as there have been different bundles offered over the last few weeks with different themes. From bubblegum based wax scents to firework inspired wax pieces. In all honesty if you can grab any of them do it! Fantastic wax at fantastic prices!
