  • Lady Millions EDT Fragrance From Lotions & Potions

Fragrances are a staple item in my household. I love them, and so do my teenage kids. We use them in every form from body mists to eau de parfums. Occasionally, I will splash out on more expensive fragrances, like the Versace Eros Energy I bought my son for his 16th birthday. But generally, I will stick with fragrances that are more affordable. Perfect example of affordability is Lady Millions EDT by small business Lotions & Potions (formally Glow). I bought this for my daughter’s 14th birthday and it cost £10.00. So why did I buy it and what is it like?

Lotions & Potions Lady Millions fragrance
    Why did I buy this?

I’ve bought lots of products from Lotions & Potions, and I’ve really enjoyed them. I thought my daughter would like this fragrance because the packaging is adorable, the scent description sounded like a scent that was a little more grown up, so perfect for her 14th. The price wasn’t expensive, which makes purchasing very easy!

    Packaging

There’s a certain fashion brand who houses their fragrance in bottles shaped a little like this one. This fragrance comes in a super cute teddy bear shaped bottle. Frosted blue in colour, so you can see the fragrance inside. The head is the lid, comes off ready to use the spray top to dispense the scent. Chunky, easy to hold and fun.

    How does this smell?

This is a very feminine fragrance in the traditional sense. It’s floral heavy, but a mix of different florals. Not the heavy kind like rose, but more the white, fresher variety. There’s vanilla in here somewhere, with musk and the smallest hint of fruitiness to it. Quite a powdery fragrance which I like, making it very fresh and clean.

    Is this a dupe?

I’m not ashamed to say, but I’ve never actually smelt the fragrance that’s similar in name to this. I have smelt other products that are supposed to be dupes of this scent, and they smell similar to this but not identical. But surely that’s a good thing?

    Strength & longevity

Lady Millions has an immediate medium strength when applied. As usual, myself and daughter apply this onto clothes, not onto skin. And this fragrance makes an impression with its powdery, floral notes. Longevity is pretty good. I tend to wear fragrance mostly in the morning while working. I find that although not as strong as when first applied, it lasts well and I can still smell and enjoy it hours later.

    Recommended?

This fragrance is sooooo cute! It’s packaged nicely, smells beautiful and the cost isn’t expensive! So why would I NOT recommend it? Lotions & Potions is a small business who handmakes all their products. So not everything is in stock all of the time as this currently isn’t. But do keep your eyes peeled and credit card at the ready, and head over to their website for this or other fragrance, bath, body and skincare products that may tempt you. Because they will…..

  • Summer Perfect So…? Unique Floral Night Body Mist

I’ve created a monster, literally! My soon to be 12 year old is a bigger fragrance junkie than me which I didn’t think was possible. No longer is she happy using my body mists, eau de toilettes and anything else, she wants her own too! So I recently bought her So…? Unique Floral Night Body Mist from Boots. I picked this up for half price costing me £2.99 instead of £5.99.

So…? Unique Floral Night Freesia & Plum Body Mist
    Why did I buy this?

I’ve bought her body mists from this brand before and she loved them! So much so she’s been asking me to replace them with the same or similar scents. When I saw this the price was perfect, the scent name sounded nice and I thought she would enjoy using it.

    Packaging

So…? Unique Floral Night is housed in quite a chunky spray bottle. Gold lid, transparent bottle but tinted purple. The shape of the bottle is a little different than others on the market. The labelling is basic (pictures of flowers on it) and something you would see on a cheaper priced product in my opinion. But it’s not unappealing and pleasant enough on the eye.

    Fragrance

This is a mix of florals and fruity flavoured effervescent sweets! That’s the best way I can describe it. The floral element is pretty and feminine. The fruity part is sweet, juicy with a hint of peach and creamy vanilla but has a slight fizziness/energy to it. I love it!

    Strength & Longevity

When first applied this is a medium. The fragrance immediately hit me and I was grateful for it. It’s such a noticeable scent if you apply it you will smell it. Longevity wise I wish it was a bit better. I put this on in the morning (on clothing not on skin, I never do that) and over 4 hours later I got the smallest hit of this. In fairness, it’s been very hot and I’ve noticed this can change how a fragrance behaves but I wanted more. But like any affordable body mist there was nothing stopping me from reapplying when needed so not a massive issue but could be better.

    Does my daughter like this?

It lives in her school bag. She puts this on in the morning and goodness knows how many times in the day because I can definitely smell it on her when she comes home. When I first gave her this she got excited saying how nice this smelt and how she loves it. And if I use this I get an evil side eye in my direction so it’s safe to say it’s thumbs up from her!

So…Unique Floral Night & Sweet Amber
    Recommended?

Despite the longevity side of things I really adore this fragrance. In fact, it’s probably one of my favourited body mists EVER! The fragrance is just so gorgeous I could wear this morning, noon and night. This would appeal to anyone who loves fruity scents and some floral lovers would like this too. Lots of different ages would use and enjoy this. For the price I paid you can afford to use this constantly and I would definitely buy this again if on a special promotion.

  • What I Bought From Primark’s Beauty Section

Primark. It’s one of those stores in the UK most of us like to visit to buy clothes. But I don’t hear many people talk about their skin, fragrance or hair care products. I’m no stranger to their beauty section. This is the first place I head to when I’m in there. I bought a few things this week from their beauty range, so what did I buy and how much did I spend?

    Primark Beauty Products
2 packs of jumbo bendy hair rollers

My 11 year old daughter has a hair obsession at the moment and likes to curl the ends of the box braids she wears. I saw these and firstly thought these were a great colour! Secondly they are massive, which would be easy to use and give her bigger curls. And importantly these contained 6 for only £1.50 per pack!

    Primark’s Long Bendy Hair Rollers
    Eye roller

I have wanted one of these for AGES! My under eyes have always been the area of my face that I always want to improve. With hay fever rife at the moment, my eyes are feeling and looking even worse than usual so this little beauty caught my attention immediately! It looks incredibly stylish, they’ve designed it to be held comfortably and this is so easy to use it’s fool proof. Can’t wait to try this out! Price? £4.50.

    Primark’s Eye Roller
Men’s Elements Night Eau de Toilette

I bought Men’s Elements Night Eau de Toilette ready to add to a collection of fragrance products for my son’s 14th birthday. I’ve never purchased male fragrance products from Primark before. But after smelling the tester I thought this smelt really good. This is quite a woody based fragrance so masculine, with sandalwood, cedar and citrus. 50ml for £4.50.

Primark’s Elements Night Pour Homme Eau de Toilette
    Opal Crush Eau de Toilette

I needed to pick up a fragrance for my daughter’s 12th birthday. She’s pretty obsessed with fragrance and she has many body mists and sprays of her own to use (and mine as well!). I picked up Opal Crush because the packaging was simple but cute and I know she loves the colour mint green. Again, I smelt the tester of this one and I actually wanted it for myself because it smelt so good. This is a killer combination of dark florals, praline and vanilla musk. 50ml for £4.50.

Primark’s Opal Crush Eau de Toilette
    Successful shopping trip?

There were other things I wanted to buy but didn’t. I planned to purchase the fragrances and the the other two products were added extras. But overall a successful, affordable shopping trip which cost me a grand total of £16.50. So the next time you go into your local Primark store, have a look in their beauty section, there are some budget friendly treasures to purchase!

  • Women’s Fragrance Gifts For Valentine’s Day from Revolution Beauty

Love it or hate it, every year there is a day called Valentine’s Day. It’s a day where people will purchase cards, teddy bears, chocolates, alcohol and many other things to give as gifts to their significant other. Like any occasion, you can spend as much or as little as you want. But if you’re looking for fragrance ideas for the lady in your life that won’t break the bank, I’m going to point you into the direction of Revolution Beauty.

    Why chose Revolution Beauty?

Revolution Beauty is a one stop shop for skincare, make-up, bath, body and fragrance products. It’s a good site to visit if you are looking for anything in these areas and they are in physical stores too, such as Superdrug. And the thing I love about their site is the fact they regularly have sales, which makes products super affordable. So there’s plenty of opportunities to grab bargains for any occasion.

What type of fragrance products do they have?

Revolution Beauty sell body mists, eau de toilette’s, eau de parfum’s and even men’s fragrances too. For women, their main form of fragrance available is eau de toilette’s. What I like about their fragrances is you can buy them singular and full sized, in a duo with a body lotion or purse sized.

    Revolution Beauty’s Purse Sprays
    How are the priced?

Revolution Beauty’s products I would never deem to be expensive, and this is the same for their fragrances. Purse sprays (10ml) are £4.00, body mists between £6.00 and £8.00 (236ml). Individual fragrances (100ml) are £12.00 and fragrance and body lotion gift sets are the same price at £12.00.

    Sales?

There’s quite a few fragrance items on sale at the time of writing this post. I Heart Revolution Coconut Crush Body Mist is down from £8.00 to £4.00. Both Revolution Love Eau De Toilette and Makeup Revolution Ultimate Lights Eau De Toilette are down from £12.00 to £5.00. Plus there is Makeup Revolution Timeless Eau De Toilette & Body Lotion Gift Set and Makeup Revolution Passion Eau De Toilette & Body Lotion Gift Set down from £12.00 to £6.00. BARGAINS!

Revolution Beauty’s Creative Eau de Toilette
    Recommended?

Revolution Beauty as a brand in my opinion is aimed more at a younger demographic. The collaborations they do with particular brands, characters and people scream this to me. But it doesn’t mean older people can’t enjoy these products too, right? I would recommend heading towards their fragrances for gift ideas because there’s a wide selection of fragrances in different forms. Prices are affordable and even better when they are on sale. And there’s still time to get a Valentine’s Day gift delivered so get looking!
