  • New Autumn Home Fragrance products In Aldi

FINALLY, stores are really pumping out Autumn inspired home fragrance products! Autumn is my favourite season and so are the scents that come out to celebrate it. There is nothing nicer than being all curled up, cosy and comfortable at home with beautiful fragrances floating through the air making your house feel like a home. So what has supermarket Aldi released to help give home fragrance lovers their Autumn scent fix?

Aldi’s Autumn inspired home fragrance products
    Purewick Reed Diffusers

100ml in size, Purewick Reed Diffusers are packaged in such a fun, different Autumnal way than other products. All diffusers are boxed but with very simplistic shapes on them e.g scarves, hats, gloves etc. £3.99 each.

    Reed Diffusers
    Purewick Wax Melts

I got confused from the first glance as these looked like tea lights. Each pack contains 8 wax melts, with the colour of the melts matching the colour of their packaging. Great packaging thanks to illustrations on them. £2.49.

    Wax Melts
    Purewick Tealights

These tealights look a little more special compared to everyday tealights. Rather than being shrink wrapped in plastic, like the rest of the range at Aldi, these come boxed. Contains 24 tealights at a cost of £2.49.

    Scented Tealights
    Purewick Pinecone/Pumpkin Shaped Wax Candles

Each box contains 3 wax candles, either shaped as pinecones or pumpkins. Each candle is shaped the same but slightly different colours. The pinecone candles are different shades of brown and the pumpkins different shades of orange. I gave each version the sniff test and nothing, so I’m assuming they aren’t scented, but they still look great! £3.49.

    Fragrances

The wax melts, tealights and reed diffusers all come in three different fragrances: Pumpkin Spice, Autumn/Woods and Toasted Marshmallow Fireside. All of them smelt nice and suited their fragrance names and the Autumn season.

    First impressions?

The packaging of each of these products is sooo good! You would never guess they were from a supermarket at the price they are being sold for thanks to how they are presented. Great choice in scents, perfect for Autumn. Would I buy any of these? Maybe a reed diffuser. As usual, if you want to grab your hands on any of these home fragrance goodies, you have to be quick and visit your local Aldi sooner rather than later!

  • 3 Halloween Wax Melt Products To Buy At Home Bargains

Halloween is a popular season which seems to be growing every year in the UK. From August, alongside Christmas, Halloween products, outfits and decorations are in most stores and shops ready to be purchased. Am I a Halloween fan? No, not really, but I am a wax melt fan! There are 3 Halloween wax melt products I would quite happily buy from discount store Home Bargains. So what are they?

    Halloween Wax Melt Burner

Although I’m not a massive fan of wax warmers that use a tea light to melt wax, who wouldn’t be drawn to a black pumpkin shaped wax melt warmer? Being black makes it striking and would fit in with any decor. Great size, not just a wax warmer but also some form of decoration/centrepiece type of thing. Simple but sinister enough for Halloween. £1.49.

  • 4 Autumn Inspired Home Fragrance Products Under £3.00

A new season means new home fragrance products and scents. Yay! As much as fruity, tropical scents are enjoyable when the sun is shining and the temperature is hot, Autumn fragrances have a natural homely, comforting feel to them. That’s probably one of the main reasons why I love when Autumn products are in stores, making the home the new outside in. So what have I spotted ready to give an Autumn vibe to homes?

4 Autumn inspired home fragrance products
    Asda

Cinnamon Sticks Reed Diffuser. A mix of cinnamon and cedarwood is the perfect woody and warming combination mixed into Asda’s George Cinnamon Sticks Reed Diffuser. Nicely packaged, good size, made to release fragrance for up to 8 weeks and only £3.00.

Pacific Wax Co Vanilla Shortbread Wax Melt. Although not a traditional Autumn fragrance, I think most scents bakery based work well during this cooler season. Buttery, vanillary, a great wax to pop on making a room feel very cosy. Down from £1.00 to 75p (could be store dependant).

Wickford & Co’s Large Gingerbread Candle. Gingerbread has got to be one of the most loved and used fragrances during Autumn. It’s one of those scents I love to experience in wax melt form, but people love the candle versions too. Wickford & Co’s Large Gingerbread Candle is a whopper! Burns up to 95 hours, great strength of scent, comes in a lidded and heavy jar and costs only £2.99.

    Wickford & Co’s Gingerbread Candle

Wickford & Co’s Pumpkin Chai Wax Melt. I don’t remember seeing this last year so possibly a new scent for Autumn 2024. This is an an interesting take on the typical, fleshy slightly sweet scent of pumpkin but with a mix of warming spice. 8 squares of wax should provide hours of fragrance, and costs 99p.

More and more affordable Autumn inspired home fragrance products will definitely appear over the next few weeks. But these 4 I think are a good start to kick of September.

  • Home of Honey’s Mint Choc Chip Wax Melt Brittle

We all have our personal favourites when it comes to scents. I like my scents on the sweeter side, whether that’s personal or home fragrance. So anything bakery based, sweetie or confectionary inspired I’m normally a fan. I couldn’t wait to see what Home of Honey’s Mint Choc Chip Wax Melt Brittle was going to be like in my home when I received it. Gifted, but costs £3.00 for 50g.

Home of Honey’s Mint Choc Chip Wax Melt Brittle
    How does it look?

Home of Honey’s Mint Choc Chip Wax Melt Brittle is literally flat, irregular shaped shards of set wax. This is mainly green in colour with shades of darker green running through it. A little dash of glitter randomly sprinkled on top and that’s what this brittle looks like. It looks great, and looks exactly how I would hope it smells like, like mint chocolate!

    Fragrance

This is a balanced blend of peppermint freshness with cocoa rich, slightly dark and creamy chocolate. It’s a sweet scent but not a sickly one, and it smells just like it’s edible counterpart.

    Strength & longevity

The initial hit of fragrance when this first started to melt through was impressive. The strength was a medium and I just loved the fact my hallway smelt like mint chocolate! Longevity wise, I’ve had this melted in two rooms over two days and the smell and the strength has remained the same.

    Recommended?

If you have a love of sweet, food based fragrances like I do you will love this! Not only does it smell just like mint chocolate, but it doesn’t do it in an artificial, sugary way. It smells amazing, the brittle itself looks appealing and you will get a good number of hours of use from one sachet. If you want to purchase this in brittle form, you can grab it here for £3.00. Or you can grab this in different wax melt shapes such as wax snap bars (£2.50) wax melt bears (£2.50) and many more forms all at affordable price points.
