  • *NEW* Glow’s Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts

New releases. Don’t you just love them? I get excited when there are new product launches especially from brands I already like and shop with. My credit card not so much. Over the last couple of years I’ve been enjoying the fragrant wax and home fragrance products from UK wax vendor Glow. And now I’m getting the chance to enjoy their new bath and body products they’ve just released. I was gifted a selection of products to try out, including their Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts. These retail for £3.99 for 260g.

Glow’s Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts
    How does this look?

Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts is pale pink in colour and made up of the smallest grains. I can see bits of this glisten but it looks more powder like than crystal. It’s quite fine but still has a texture to it look wise.

    Fragrance

Pink Sugar makes me think of lots of pink flavoured sweets. Candyfloss, even marshmallows, possible berries such as strawberries and vanilla thrown in as well. A sweet lover’s dream and dribble worthy!

    In the bath

I’ve used this in two baths so far. Each time I’ve used about a quarter of this tub and once poured under running water it created foam, and lots of it! Not only was there foam but colour too. The bath water went from clear to a beautiful light shade of pink.

The fragrance was light but there. The strength was very comforting and the fragrance overall was enjoyable and very relaxing. Could the fragrance have been a little stronger? This is me here, a fragrance can always be stronger especially if I really like it! But I don’t think it would translate well being a punchy scent. It would be too heavy and not as nice and natural as it is now. So it’s actually the perfect level strength wise.

In the bath I really enjoyed these salts. The salts dissolved fully. I could feel the tiniest grains on the bottom of the bath but it was barely noticeable. The foam didn’t disappear after a few minutes. In fact, bubbles were still there right to the very end. The water was soft on the skin and the bath salts didn’t dry it out. In fact, there were a few irritated areas of skin on my back which seemed less irritated after using this.

    Recommended?

Glow’s Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts is a fabulous bath time product. It provides the best of both worlds when it comes to bath salts and a foaming bath gel/cream. This looks inviting, smells amazing, foams up beautifully and each pot should give 4 baths easily which provides excellent value. You won’t find something like this on the high street so 110% recommended!

This is available at the moment in various fragrances, including Pink Sugar, Peppermint & Eucalyptus, Dazzling, Snow Fairy and Creed. Want to order yours? Visit the website here and I dare you NOT to order!

  • Introducing *New* Bath & Body Products From Glow

The purpose of body products isn’t just to help the skin on our body be in good condition, it also can help us feel good. Have you ever used a body lotion and the fragrance and feel on the skin makes you smile? That bath bomb that hissed and danced in the bath was so relaxing it made you want to sleep? When I use products on my body I want to enjoy them equally as I want them to perform a job. So when I received (gifted) a selection of the new bath and body products created from UK wax vendor Glow, I was unbelievably excited!

*New* Body & Bath Products from Glow
    What was I given?
    • Pink Sugar Foaming Baths Salts
    • Amber & Lavender Body Butter
    • Butt Lift Body Butter
    • Lemon & Peppermint Hand & Foot Balm
    • Madame Coco Roller Ball Perfume
    Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts

Glow’s Foaming Bath Salts is made up of Epsom and Himalayan Salts. Unlike traditional bath salts, these are designed to create foam on top of the benefits salts give with added fragrance too. Pink Sugar Foaming Baths Salts is pale pink in colour, and is less crystal like compared to other baths salts and more of a powdery consistency. The fragrance of this is to die for! It’s sweet (not sickly), has a berry element to it, cotton candy and vanilla.

Amber & Lavender/ Butt Lift Body Butter

Both of these body butters look like whipped and set desserts in their pots. They look incredibly rich in texture and inviting. Amber & Lavender is white in colour and has such a beautiful scent to it. There’s a musk in this (amber), which you would expect to find in some fine fragrances. The lavender balancing it out giving it a herbal sweetness. Butt Lift Body Butter is pale blue in colour and smells like Summer in a pot! This is another sweetly fragranced product, possibly with caramel or vanilla undertones? I swear this has a tropical element to it like coconut. Not too sure but it’s delicious!

Glow’s Amber & Lavender Body Butter
Lemon & Peppermint Hand and Foot Balm

This looks like a typical balm consistency. Solid, opaque and will melt when it makes contact on the skin. The scent is a great alternative to a typical minty scent especially for products aimed at the feet. The peppermint in this, of course, gives it that fresh and cool feel you would expect. The addition of lemon gives it an added freshness and a slight zest making this smell fab!

Lemon & Peppermint Hand & Foot Balm
    Madame Coco Roller Ball Fragrance

This is fine fragrance! Traditional, timeless and classic fine designer like fragrance. There’s white floral in this because of it’s freshness plus a more deeper floral, probably rose. Scent wise, there’s a slight warming element to this so I’m heading towards amber and an uplifting and refreshing fruit in this too. It’s stunning! And going by the name of this it’s probably inspired by a famous designer fragrance which Google will help you with if you needed to figure it out.

    First Impressions

I’m blown away! Firstly, these are the types of products I love anyway. I adore body butters, fragrances, balms and bath salts so I’m already half way there in appreciation. But these are on another level. The fragrances are intoxicating, the textures are decadent. Going off first impressions I am totally sold and ready to make an order for ALL of these bath and body goodies!

There will be reviews/posts on each of these products going into how they perform. But if this has already wet your appetite, they are available for sale on the Glow website here.

  • What’s In My LUSH Stash? Using Snow Dragon Bath Bomb

Why do so many of us love a bath? We don’t have them just to clean our bodies but we use them as a form of relaxation. You can lie there and scroll through your phone, drink a glass of wine or even read a book. Whatever you choose to do, what do you put into the bath to add to this experience? I love to use lots of different things including bath bombs. I recently decided to use LUSH’s Snow Dragon Bath Bomb I bought in their Boxing Day Sale. This originally was £3.50 and then went down to £1.75.

    LUSH’s Snow Dragon Bath Bomb
    Why did I use this?

One thing LUSH do perfectly is create bath bombs that visually are very appealing, including this one. It just took my fancy one evening so in the bath it went!

    How does it look?

Imagine a dragon laying flat on it’s belly with it’s tail curved round it’s body, almost in a sleeping position. This is how this bath bomb is shaped. The details are there, it’s easy to see what it is and the fact it’s blue in colour makes it very striking. The addition of crystal like pieces on the top of this bath bomb makes it look even more special.

    Fragrance

Snow Dragon Bath Bomb has a slight citrusy scent to it. It’s slightly sweet but fresh and zingy. This is one of those fragrances most people would like and enjoy because it’s not too specific and unusual in scent.

    In the bath

I put this in an already filled bath and it sank straight to the bottom straight away. It started to fizz a little and release colour and it came up to the surface of the water. I was hoping there would be some form of bath art going on, some movement, hidden colour. No, none of that. Snow Dragon Bath Bomb turned the clear water into a pale blue shade, fizzed a little, no foam and disappeared. It was pleasant enough to look at but it didn’t bowl me over.

The fragrance was there while I was in the bath and lasted quite a while after. There was still that citrusy element to it but it smelt more chalky once in the water.

In the bath my experience was fine and reasonably relaxing. I didn’t feel it was a particularly great bath with Snow Dragon Bath Bomb in it but it wasn’t bad. No negative reactions on my skin but nothing positive either.

    Would I buy this again?

For the price I paid, how it looks and the bath it created was ok, I would but for a friend. I wouldn’t repeat purchase this because it didn’t stand out enough to go in for another buy. But for friends who like bath bombs and baths in general, I think what I paid was good and even full price a more affordable bath bomb from LUSH. So this was decent, but not exceptional.

  • Revolution Beauty’s Creative Eau de Toilette

The fragrance industry is a massive one. I have no idea how much money it makes or how many fragrance products gets sold every year, but it must run into it’s millions. I’m not surprised, because the majority of human beings love to use fragrance and like to give it as gifts too. I’m a bit of a fragrance junkie, and one of the fragrances I currently have on rotation is Revolution Beauty’s Creative Eau de Toilette. I bought this from ASOS last year during a sale. It was down from £10.00 to £6.70.

Revolution Beauty’s Creative Eau de Toilette
    Why did I buy this?

I normally stick with body mists because they are affordable and good quality ones are easy to pick up from anywhere. But I grabbed Revolution Beauty’s Creative Eau de Toilette because of the price, reviews on the website and how it looks. I’ve bought and used products from this brand before but never a fragrance product. At the cost I paid I thought it was a budget friendly way of trying this out with nothing to lose.

    Packaging

100ml of fragrance comes in quite a chunky, faceted, leopard printed glass bottle. Copper coloured detailing with faux crystal lid. This eau de toilette comes boxed and mirrors the print from the bottle but with added splashes of pink. You will either love or hate how this is looks but I personally love it! I think it’s fun, stands out and is patterned in a way that always slips into a fashion trend at some point of time.

    The Fragrance

This is a floral based fragrance which smells more white floral to me. It’s quite light, not heavy and very Spring like. The smallest amount of woody notes are present and overall this has quite a pretty, sweet, young, uplifting scent and feel to it.

    Strength & Longevity

Strength is a medium. It’s not heavy and powerful but it is there. Personally I could have this turned up a notch, but my hay fever right now is thankfully this isn’t stronger. Longevity is fair. The fragrance isn’t a punchy floral so I don’t expect it to be strong and everlasting. It does it’s job and when I need a bigger hit and the fragrance is lessening I apply more.

    Recommended?

Personally, I like this fragrance. I like how this smells, I love the packaging and how much I paid was really good. I’ve noticed my 11 year old daughter is quite fond of this too and I can see why. Different ages would like this scent, and I would be happy to buy this for my daughter or someone much older. To make this perfect, for me, I would like it slightly stronger and last longer, but it wouldn’t stop me buying this again.

You can buy this direct from Revolution Beauty (currently £12.00).
