  • New Discovery! Daise Bath & Body Products in Tesco

There’s nothing nicer than seeing new products available on the high street. Sometimes too much choice can be overwhelming. But if you’re a lover of products for the face and body like I am, you won’t be overwhelmed more excited over new finds. This is how I felt when I discovered a brand called Daise in my local Tesco store. So what is Daise and what products do they have?

    Daise Bath & Body Products
    Daise

Daise is a brand that is about having fun, wanting people to enjoy their products physically and emotionally. Not a brand taking itself too seriously from what I can tell but still want to deliver good quality products. Their products include body mists, body scrubs, lip balms, bath bombs and body washes.

    Body Scrubs

It was the Vanilla Glow Body Scrub that caught my eye first in Tesco. A massive size of 510g. Packaged in a clear pot so the scrub is visible. The scrub itself looks decadent, rich in texture (I’m a texture girl) and very moisturising. In Tesco i found Vanilla Glow, Pineapple Glow and Pomegranate Glow. £8.00 each.

    Body Wash

Housed in an aerosol looking can and in the fragrance Coconut Whip, this body wash definitely looked fun, interesting and a little different to standard body washes on the market. Designed to be moisturising, an effective body cleanser while leaving skin lightly scented. Daise’s Coconut Whip Body Wash costs £5.00 for 265ml.

    Daise Coconut Whip Body Wash
    Lip Balm

Packaging was eye catching for this product as I originally thought it was a bath bomb! Very Vanilla Hydrating Lip Balm aims to do everything that most lip balms do which is moisturise, easy to use and have a nice fragrance to it. This costs only £2.50.

    First impressions?

I like this range! I love the packaging of each product. Each product looks vibrant, but not in a way that is geared just towards a younger market. The sizes are decent, especially the body scrub. And the fragrances these products are in tick all my favourite scent boxes. All perfect for Summer use. The prices aren’t the cheapest, especially for the body wash. So if I was to purchase these it would be more for gifting or occasional personal use. But do I want to try any of these? Oh yes! The scrub looks AMAZING!

There are other products and fragrances from this brand but they weren’t all stocked in my local Tesco. Will I be purchasing any of these? Wait..and..see….

To get the most out of your money in today’s society is hard! Most people will agree that to get value these days isn’t as easy as it used to be. You just have to know where to look. As a lover of bath, body and skincare products I always keep an eye out for products at great prices. That’s why I was pleased to find a brand called Dirty Works in Home Bargains, where each of their products was only 59p! So what was available?

Dirty Works Skin & Body Care Products for 59p
    Cube Tropicana Fizzy Bath Cubes

This is a sizeable, rectangular shaped bar made up of 8 segmented cubes which you snap off to use in the bath. Think of a bath fizzer/bath bomb that’s bar shaped, chunky and chalky in texture. Nicely packaged in a box where you can see part of the bath cubes through a clear window.

Hand it Over Coconut Hand Cream

Containing coconut and jojoba oil, this hand cream is supposed to be moisturising without being heavy, so easy and quick to apply. Tropical in scent so pleasant to use.

Hand it Over Coconut Hand Cream
    Smooth Walker Foot Butter

Like any foot product, Smooth Walk Foot Butter helps to moisturise and hydrate dry feet. Containing sweet almond oil and shea butter, this should be a heavier, richer texture for feet that need it. The addition of tea tree and peppermint oil should give not only a slight cooling effect but be a natural deodoriser too!

    Smooth Walker Foot Butter
    Stop Puffy Eyes Eye Cream

Stop Puffy Eyes Eye Cream is supposed to help freshen and brighten the under eye area by making it look less tired and puffy. Containing shea butter and caffeine, this eye cream should not only wake up the under eye area but moisturise it too.

Easy on the Eyes contains 10 pairs of eye pads. Infused with aloe vera, these are designed to be soothing and calming to the eye area. Perfect for those who want pampering and to give the eye area a temporary quick fix to look and feel better.

For the price, the packaging and the types of products these are they are worth a little splurge if you find them in your local Home Bargains.

  • My 3 Favourite Products of 2024

Now 2024 has ended, I thought I would look back on all the products I’ve used this year. Some I would happily repurchase again, some I wouldn’t waste my money on and some are now favourites of mine. Favourites to the point they impressed me, I loved using them and would buy again in a heart beat. So what were my favourite products of 2024?

My 3 Favourite Products of 2024
    Lidl’s LUSH Dupe Shower Gels

I genuinely had no idea how Lidl’s LUSH dupe shower gels would be, but I’m glad I tried them. It’s not hard to get shower gels that foam/bubble and clean the skin, but to really enjoy using them is something else. Both Relax and Honey I’m Home performed great in the bath and shower. They foamed up beautifully in the shower and created lots of soft bubbles in the bath. My skin didn’t dry out and each one cleaned my skin perfectly. But it was the fragrances that got me. Comforting, soothing, relaxing. These smell amazing, and for only £1.99 each for 500ml I would buy these time and time again (and I have!).

Superdrug’s Fruity Blood Orange Body Mist

Fruity Blood Orange Body Mist from Superdrug was a limited edition, affordable fragrance brought out for Autumn/Halloween. The fragrance itself was unusual and very different compared to other body mists on the market. Citrus, musk, spices, not a light fragrance at all but quite a deep and dark one, which I love! It only cost £1.74 at the time and I really wish I had bought more now.

Home of Honey’s 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 Wax Melts

I was gifted 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 Wax Melts from Home of Honey Candle Co. This consisted of a collection of 12 Christmas/Winter inspired scented wax melts. This set was one of my favourite products of 2024 because all of the fragrances were beautiful, great strength and great longevity. I was so impressed by this and enjoyed each melt as I used them.

Home of Honey’s 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 Wax Melts

So that’s my 3 stand out products for 2024. Were there more? Possibly. Did I love every minute using these? Definitely. Am I sad I’ve used these all up now? Absolutely! Definitely 3 great, affordable and good quality products that deserve to be in my top 3 favourite products of last year.

  • Give The Gift of Olee Cosmetics Whipped Soaps

Cleaning the skin on our bodies isn’t the most interesting or exciting thing to do. It’s a daily task which most of us don’t think about. But there’s so many different types of products we can use that can take bathing to a slightly more indulgent level, especially when our bodies are crying out for more moisturising during the colder seasons. A quick and easy product to use is whipped soaps. I haven’t bought any recently but I did win two in a competition from a company called Olee Cosmetics. I received Vibe & Pink Candy Whipped Soaps 30ml each in size. So what are they like?

    Olee Cosmetics Whipped Soaps
    What is a whipped soap?

A whipped soap is a product you wash the body with. It’s a rich, thick formulation which you apply to damp skin and cleanses it like a bar of soap or shower/bath gel. It normally contains an ingredient which is highly moisturising, such as coconut oil, shea butter etc. So it won’t strip the skin and will leave it soft, smooth and lightly moisturised after use.

Olee Cosmetics Vibe & Pink Candy – Packaging

Both of these whipped soaps are housed in small, lidded tins. Slightly bigger than a lip balm tin. Very cute and I can see this being perfect to travel with.

    How do they look?

Both look the same but coloured differently. You can tell they’ve been whipped into these tins because of the pattern/shapes these are in. They look solid, no movement to them and very glossy in appearance. Vibe’s colouring is almost sweetie like, rhubarb and custard, because it’s a mixed swirl of soft pink and yellow. Pink Candy is a bright bubble gum pink, with both of these whipped soaps glistening with some form of pigment on the top. Beautiful!

    Fragrance

Vibe has a tropical, fruity scent to it. Very Summery and quite mouth watering. Pink Candy smells just like baby lotion, so fresh, clean and would be loved by anyone and everyone.

    Consistency & texture

These look soft in texture like whipped cream. But placing my finger in these whipped soaps, they’re quite solid. Very similar to the texture of a cleansing balm where at first its solid, and then it melts. Except this doesn’t melt like a balm. It does become softer but it still has hold until you either rub it into your skin or onto a sponge.

    In the shower & bath

A finger tip of Pink Candy was enough to wash my whole body, so not much needed product wise. I scooped it out, placed it on a wet sponge, rubbed it in and used! The whipped soap created a sponge full of creamy foam (rather than bubbles) which felt great on the skin and very luxurious.

Skin felt clean and well moisturised after use and lightly fragranced. This was a decadent way of cleaning the skin on my body. Perfect for people with drier skin, people who love their products with texture and for those who see bathing as a pleasure not as a chore.

    Recommended?

I love these whipped soaps for lots of different reasons. The packaging is cute and practical and great for travel or to sample the product. Look and texture of these whipped soaps is so inviting and beautifully made. The product does what its designed to do and is a joy to use with both Vibe and Pink Candy gorgeous in fragrance. Recommended? Yes. Great for stocking fillers? Definitely! Perfect for travel? Absolutely.

Fancy purchasing this? There’s different fragrances and sizes available. The 30ml tin costs £3.00, 150ml £8.99 and 200ml £12.00. Visit the website here to buy.
