  • An Alternative to a Bath Bomb, Prettysuds Broken Hearts Bath Crumble

    Ever heard of a Bath crumble? I haven’t, but it does exist! And it definitely intrigued me when I found one in my Prettysuds February Bath Subscription box. This contained 8 bath time treats, including Broken Hearts Bath Crumble.

    What is a Bath Crumble?

    Imagine a bag/box of shaped or irregular pieces of mini bath bombs and that is what a Pretty Suds Bath Crumble is? You pop them under warm running water, as you would with a normal bath bomb. It will fizz, provide fragrance and colour to the bath and even some foam.

    How does this look?

    Broken Hearts Bath Crumble is a 400g box of love! Various sizes of small, pink love heart shapes in different shades of pink. Very sweet and look wise was perfect for a subscription in the month of February.

    Texture

    Chalky and solid but not too solid where it doesn’t crumble ( no pun intended! ). These are literally tiny bath bombs in texture and look.

    Fragrance

    I wasn’t too sure what to expect scent wise with Broken Hearts Bath Crumble. On the box it said ‘ infused with zesty cola cubes’. So I expected to open the bag and smell…well…cola cubes! The type I used to buy from the corner shop as a kid. What I got scent wise was cherry cola. I got the cola cube bit definitely. Sweetie, slightly zingy, but there was a fruity side to these that I couldn’t put my finger on until it hit me. Cherry cola is the best description I can give it! An unusual scent for me when it comes to bath products, but a lovely surprise and very nice to smell.

    In the bath

    I’ve been using a quarter each time I’ve been in the bath. They immediately fizz in the water and release a bright and bold pink colour. No mass of foam or bubbles although a little to start off with. But fragrance and colour was there and this created a good and enjoyable bath.

    Recommended?

    Yes I would! It’s something different to the traditional, singular bath bomb. It looks sweet and fun, you can use them in a minimum of 3 baths and they had a great scent to them. And not to mention how they coloured the bath water! would love to try out the different versions to experience other fragrances and shapes. I’ve enjoyed using this and would love to use something similar again.

    Affordable luxury. Who doesn’t like the sound of that? I do! Why shouldn’t we enjoy something that makes us feel good without spending a small fortune?     Who are Pretty Suds?

    Pretty Suds are based in South Yorkshire, England. They make and sell bath and body products such as shower gellies, bath bombs and bath crumbles. Not only are these sold singularly, but they also create subscription boxes which contain a selection of different bath time treats.

    What did I get?

    8 full sized goodies including:

    1 Bath Crumble. 400g of heart shaped pieces of mini bath bombs/fizzers that are in various shades of pink an infused with zesty cola cubes. Pop them into the bath and they release colour and fragrance.

    3 Heart Shaped Bath Bombs. Each heart shaped bath bomb has its own fragrance. XOXO‘s scent is inspired by the aftershave Creed. It’s Barbie pink in colour with a generous sprinkle of silver glitter. Be Mine‘s fragrance is peony and blush suede. A deep, rich purple colour with an mica type pigment look to it. I LOVE YOU‘s scent is inspired by La Vie Est Belle perfume. Pink in colour covered with lots of gold glitter.

    4 Bath Bombs. Strawberry Milkshake. Scented and coloured as you would think, thanks to its name. Consisting of different shades of pink running around it, and smelling of strawberry milkshake! Bubblegum Ice Cream. The name gives you the scent description straight away, and is a mix of bright bold pink and blue colours. Alicorn. Scent wise is a mix of strawberries, blueberries over meringue and is a ball of pink, yellow, blue and purple colour. Unicorn Sparkle‘s fragrance jasmine, lily, sandalwood and salted vanilla.

    Recommended?

    This is a great selection of goodies! £14.95 gives you A LOT of product so exceptional value! Buying something of a similar quality wouldn’t give you half of the amount of product you get in this set. All full sized pieces, great looking pieces and shapes with different fragrances, this gets my thumbs up! 100% recommended! Affordable luxury at it’s best!
