  • Love Fragrance? Try Travel Fragrance Atomisers

My son is nearly 15. Over the last year he’s been using lots of different fragrances. He uses some form of fragrance everyday and has started to buy his own rather than rely on me to purchase them for him. So I was quite impressed when he bought a set of travel fragrance atomisers from Amazon to use with a fragrance he bought at the same time.

    Fragrance atomisers
    Why did he buy this?

He didn’t want to carry big and weighty bottles of fragrances around with him, and wanted something smaller and more manageable. This was the perfect, affordable solution so he bought a set of them.

    What is a fragrance atomiser?

These are small refillable spray bottles that you fill up with any liquid based fragrance of your choice.

    What do these look like?

Smaller and thinner than a standard lipstick in size, these look like small, coloured bottles. Lidded with a spray dispenser top and a clear window on the side so you can see the actual fragrance in it’s liquid form. These come in a variety of colours, but the one’s my son bought include black, blue and green. All have a slightly metallic look to them, which different ages and people wouldn’t mind using.

    Easy to fill and use?

If my son can fill these up anyone can, so very easy to use! He takes at least one out with him and they definitely get used because I can smell the scent on him!

    Recommended?

This is a great way for anyone to carry around a small amount of fragrance, especially a favourite one. Getting a multipack (as my son did), means that one or more fragrance can be kept in multiple places rather than one e.g bag, office, etc. I think this is a great idea, useful and affordable. These range from £4.99 and upwards from Amazon in different quantities, colours, shapes and designs.

  • How Much Have These Products Gone Up In Price?

Nobody is surprised how much everyday items have gone up in price over the last few years. It’s getting to the point where it’s now the norm, not just in the UK but worldwide. This made me think, how many products have gone up in price that I’ve bought and reviewed? And by how much?

    Aldi’s Lacura Moisturising Face Wash

When I first tried and reviewed Aldi’s Lacura Moisturising Face Wash, this budget friendly skincare product was only 99p. Since then, it’s gone up to £1.15, which isn’t too bad, but it still costs more. It’s a product I still buy and myself and my children use it because the formulation is gentle, fragrance free and does the job.

    Aldi’s Lacura Moisturising Face Wash
    Lidl’s Lovely Eau de Parfum

Nicely packaged, beautifully scented and only cost £4.45 in 2022, Lidl’s Lovely Eau de Parfum was a great buy at the time. I really enjoyed using this supermarket fragrance and I was actually complimented when wearing this. How much does it cost now? £5.65. £1.20 more compared to 2 years ago.

    Lidl’s Suddenly Fragrances Lovely
Something actually costs less! Aldi’s Lacura Moisturising Hand Cream

I bought Aldi’s Lacura Moisturising Hand Cream because the formulation sounded moisturising and soothing, and similar to products within the Aveeno brand. The price point of 69p for 75ml was a brilliant price. Fast forward to now, and housed in a different looking tube, this costs 10p less at 59p!

Aldi’s Lacura Spa Foaming Bath Soak & Luxury Bath Float

I first purchased Aldi’s Lacura Spa Foaming Bath Soak & Luxury Bath Float back in 2021. These were great sizes, nicely packaged and dupes of the brand Sanctuary Spa. For £1.79 each these were great value and also performed well in the bath. How much are they now? £2.45. Yes…£2.45!

Aldi’s Lacura Spa Luxury Bath Float & Foaming Bath Soak

So inflation, cost of living, whatever you want to call it has hit EVERYTHING! Which is why it’s important to get the most of your money when it comes to the products you buy.

  • A Perfume With A Difference! Glow’s Rouge Perfume Balm

I love fragrance. When I purchase them they normally come in some form of spray. This is my go to way of delivering a scent. But there is one exception to this in my current fragrance collection. Glow’s Rough Perfume Balm isn’t a spray or mist, it’s a balm. This was included in Glow’s July 2023 Subscription Box. So what is this like?

    Glow’s Rouge Perfume Balm
    Packaging

This perfume balm comes in a small, white, plastic tube, very similar to how some underarm deodorants are packaged. To use the balm and extend the height to use, you need to turn the bottom of the applicator to raise it up and turn it the opposite direction to bring it back down.

    Fragrance

Rouge has a beautifully balanced mix of woody notes and light florals. It has both masculine and feminine qualities to it which makes this a great all round fragrance.

    On the skin

Application of Glow’s Rough Perfume Balm is really simple. You gently rub the balm over the areas you want the fragrance to be on e.g neck, inside of wrists etc, and that’s it! I applied this onto the inside of my wrists. Easy, quick, and left my skin lightly hydrated in look and feel. And the fragrance? Wow! The scent was immediately there when I applied it but not overpowering and it didn’t leave. In fact, it stayed for hours. I think the warmth of my skin really helped to keep this fragrance alive.

I didn’t think I would enjoy using this as much as I did. What I loved was this fragrance was for me and me alone. I didn’t use this for anyone else to smell. It felt very personal. How it was applied, where and when I could smell it was for my nose only not anyone else’s and I liked that! It really lifted my mood, the same way aromatherapy oils can do the same thing.

    Recommended?

I think Glow’s Rouge Perfume Balm is a beautiful product. The packaging and size makes it easy to carry around. Quick and easy to use with fragrance being localised to where you want it. Zero mess and doesn’t leave the skin greasy. The actual smell of this is gorgeous! Being long lasting makes this pretty perfect. So if you love your fragrance and looking for something a bit different, you MUST try Glow’s Perfume Balms. They’re available in different fragrances (including Rouge) such as Alien, Angel, Clouds and Savage. Only £5.50 each and can be purchased via the website.
