  • My Favourite Bath Products Of 2023

When you’re as addicted to baths as I am, you will use ALOT of bath products in a year! What I love is there is so much variety in regards to the fragrance, consistency, shapes and even colours bath goodies can come in. So what were my favourite products I used in the bath in 2023?

My favourite bath products of 2023
Sleepy Bubble Bath Bar From LUSH

Bubble bars are a great alternative to bath bombs. Most can be broken up and used for more than one bath. Compared to bath bombs, bubble bars are more moisturising and many create foam. Sleepy Bubble Bath Bar From LUSH ticks all these boxes AND has a glorious, relaxing fragrance as well.

Bubble Up’s Blissed Out Berry Bath Melt Bar

Bubble Up’s Blissed Out Berry Bath Melt Bar could have been a little more fragrant. But what it lacked in scent it didn’t lack in size. Great size, multiple baths could be used from one bar, created bubbles and left my skin feeling silk smooth and soft.

Snow Fairy Bath Bomb From LUSH

As much as people have raved about the Snow Fairy range from LUSH, I was a little sceptical about their Snow Fairy Bath Bomb. It smelt and looked great, but how it would perform I wasn’t too sure about. But perform it did and it created a relaxing and enjoyable bath. It was surprisingly moisturising for a bath bomb, it didn’t irritate my skin and I loved using it.

Treacle Moon’s Sweet Berry Kisses Bath Salts

I’ve used Treacle Moon’s bath salts before and I was so happy to find them being stocked in Boots because I loved them. Treacle Moon’s Sweet Berry Kisses Bath Salts costs only £1.00, and when poured into the bath provides soft fluffy foam and fragrance.

Glow’s Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts

Bath salts can create a very therapeutic bath for not only the mind, but for the joints and skin too. But they can be very plain and give a basic bath. Glow’s Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts was a great product to help me unwind from top to toe. It also had a soft fragrance to it while creating lots and lots of foam.

All of these products were great to use, provided soothing and chilled out baths while keeping my skin in good condition. What more could I ask for?

  • July’s Round Up, What Products Did I Use?

July. You are nearly over. Was this a good month? It was a busy month with the school year coming to an end and the constant weather changes made this month challenging. But I did enjoy using a selection of products over this time period because each one was so different. So what did I use in the month of July?

    Products I used in July
Treacle Moon’s Sweet Berry Kisses Bath Salts

Oh I’ve missed Treacle Moon’s bath salts! I was so pleased to see them in Boots because I haven’t seen or used these in such a long time! A foaming, fragrant and affordable bath treat which is great to use regularly or give to someone as part of a gift. One day I hope they release their salts in a bigger size so I can enjoy them daily.

Glow’s Raspberry Candy Floss Body Butter

This was included in Glow’s March Subscription Box. Body butters are such a luxurious body moisturiser, and Glow’s Raspberry Candy Floss Body Butter is no exception. It melts like a dream, protective and moisturising and the smell is incredible! One of my favourite body butters I’ve ever used.

Primark’s PS Love Opal Crush Eau de Toilette

A budget friendly fragrance, good presentation and smells really nice. But Primark’s PS Love Opal Crush Eau de Toilette could have been a little more stronger in scent with better longevity. Still a good purchase for those who don’t like strong scents or to give to a pre/teen.

I Heart Revolution’s Chocolate Lip Scrub

A fun product, smells and tastes amazing (don’t eat it!), but not my personal favourite because I’m not a lip scrub fan. I Heart Revolution’s Chocolate Lip Scrub is good for those who maybe are on the younger side and like cute packaging and scents. But I think there will be better lip scrubs out their on the market if used to help exfoliate and moisture the lips.

    Safa’s Skin Therapy Oil

There’s not much you can buy for 69p, but Safa’s Skin Therapy Oil was a brilliant buy! Great size, naturally fragrant, light weight but very moisturising. 69p well spent!

    Wild Deodorants

A new brand and a new product for me is Wild’s deodorants. Sustainable packaging, contains natural ingredients, smells great and kept me fresh for hours.

    Wild travel sized deodorants

So with another month drawing to a close I’m excited to see what products pop up in my stash in the month of August!

  • Affordable Treacle Moon’s Sweet Berry Kisses Bath Salts For £1.00!

It can be the simple things that make people happy. The feeling of peace and quiet shut off from the world. A few moments of pure relaxation and alone time. I’m basically describing having a bath! If you love your bath you will know having that time submerged in warm water with various lotions, potions and products in it really can be bliss. That’s why I take my bath products very, very seriously. During my last trip to high street retailer Boots I purchased not only Treacle Moon’s Frosted Candy Angel Shower & Bath Gel, but also their Sweet Berry Kisses Bath Salts. The bath salts cost £1.00 for 80g.

Treacle Moon’s Sweet Berry Kisses Bath Salts
    Why did I buy these?

I bought Treacle Moon’s bath salts a few years ago when they were available in Aldi and I thought they were great! But I hadn’t seen them since instore. When I saw these I had to purchase them! The price was still affordable and the scent from the name alone sounded perfect.

What is Sweet Berry Kisses Bath Salts?

These are baths salts that contain safflower and jojoba oils. You place the salts in your bath and they produce bubbles. Fragranced, foaming and vegan friendly.

    Packaging

The bath salts come in a sachet. Fun in look, colourful and you actually can smell the fragrance of the bath salts from the packaging without even opening it.

How do these bath salts look?

I expected Sweet Berry Kisses to be pink or purple in colour because of their fragrance but it wasn’t. What I got was not typical bath salts in structure, but quite a fine powder with a few irregular sized pieces in it and the odd glisten of tiny crystal shapes. The actual colour? Brown! Not much different to hot chocolate powder that you just add water to it. Not massively appealing but was a big surprise.

    Fragrance

A mix of slightly zesty but sweetened orange with ripe berries. An absolutely stunning scent and quite unusual as I don’t think I’ve smelt anything similar before in a bath product.

    In the bath

Under warm running water, these bath salts immediately created soft, fluffy foam. It also turned the water from clear to a light pink colour which I didn’t expect because of the actual colour of the salts. The fragrance was there but light which suited me perfectly because a heady scent was not what I needed at the time. The foam/bubbles created wasn’t a massive amount but enough to cover the surface of the bath. They lasted a decent amount of time too which always helps.

In the bath I enjoyed it. As mentioned the fragrance was the right strength for me at the time (I had the mother of headaches), I spent 20 minutes in there and felt my time was well spent.

I did worry once out if my skin would react to it. Since the temperature and humidity in the UK has risen, my skin hasn’t liked it. A few small areas of skin have been itchy, sore and easily irritated. These bath salts didn’t cause any issues at all and were actually quite gentle on my skin overall and didn’t dry it out either.

    Recommended?

Although this could be thought of as not the most economical because it’s only designed for one bath, I think it’s great. Perfect to add in a gift for someone, ideal to take away when travelling. And of course to just use at home when the mood takes you is a given. So I love the idea of this one bath serving sachet as it’s convenient with zero waste! Fragrance is stunning, creates foam, non drying or irritating to the skin and produces a lovely relaxing bath for £1.00. What more do you need? Totally recommended!

Sweet Berry Kisses Bath Salts can be found in a few selected stores such as Boots, Waitrose and direct from Treacle Moon themselves.

  • February Round Up, What Products Did I Use?

I’m sat here reflecting on how fast February as a month has gone, unlike January. January DRAGGED! February literally has come and gone like the money in my wallet and now we’re saying hello to March. So what did the month of February bring to me product wise and what did I use?

    Products used in February
Bubble Up’s The Never Skip Dessert Collection

Such a cute bath and shower collection from Bubble Up. A donut shaped bath fizzer and a sweetly fragranced shower scrub. A super affordable body treat from Home Bargains at a cost of £2.99. Maybe more suitable for the younger generation who want a bit of cheap pampering.

    Lip-C Smile’s Raspberry Lip Oil

Cold weather means dry lips, and it’s always nice to have an alternative available for the humble lip balm. Lip-C Smile’s Raspberry Lip Oil definitely was something different, fun and a practical lip product to use to help combat dry and cracked lips.

Revolution Beauty’s Creative Eau de Toilette

Revolution Beauty has a good, varied collection of fragrances including Revolution Beauty’s Creative Eau de Toilette. This is a fragrance both myself and my 11 year old daughter grab in the morning so suitable for different ages.

Glow’s Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts

(gifted) Glow’s new Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts was definitely a fragrant, foaming treat for the bath. If you love bath salts and foaming bath creams/gels but want to combine the the two, this is that killer combo!

Glow’s Pink Sugar Foaming Bath Salts
    LUSH’s Snow Dragon Bath Bomb

If you love your bath bombs at some point you will have purchased something from LUSH. And boy did I buy during their Boxing Day Sale! Snow Dragon Bath Bomb was bought from the sale. Super cute, lovely colour and size but in the bath? It was ok but didn’t thrill me. But great for the price I paid (£1.75).

    LUSH’s Snow Dragon Bath Bomb

So these were the products I used in the month of February. Which one was my favourite? They were all very different but probably Glow’s Pink Sugar Bath Salts!
