Affordable fragrance. This is something that’s important to me. I can’t and I won’t spend too much money on body mists, sprays or perfumes. Not for everyday use. A gift, a special purchase to myself? Yes I would spend more, BUT even then at the best price for that product I can find online or on the high street. So if I see a product that’s super affordable I’m more than willing to try it out. Recently I bought Tesco’s Extracts Body Sprays. Usual price £1.00 each down to 50p when using their loyalty Clubcard. But was it 50p worth spending?

Price?
Can’t knock the price at all! These are body sprays, not fancy perfumes, so for this type of fragrance product I would expect it to be budget friendly. But 50p is crazy cheap! 75m of body spray should last a decent amount of time. And replacing it when finished is no hardship because it’s not expensive. So for the price you don’t need to be sparing, buy when needed or a few at a time.

Fragrances
Just reading the fragrance names gave me the impression these wouldn’t be the most 2026 type scents. They don’t follow fragrance trends. Very safe and dare I say unimaginative scent types and quite dated. Sweet Orchid & Jasmine is floral. Not too heavy, on the old fashioned side and not particularly memorable. Wild Rose & Apple floral with a little fruitiness to it. I tried to think what this one smelt of and it reminded me of an air freshener, but not in a good way. A little more younger in style but I can’t shake off the feel this wouldn’t appeal to a wide range of ages. Black Orchid & Amber is the darkest, musky one out of the three. Still floral but overall a punchier scent, heavier, more incense like.
Strength & longvity
Each body spray when first applied is a decent strength. Black Orchid & Amber being the strongest and the one I had the most hope for. Applied onto clothes, and a generous amount used, I forgot I used this in the morning. Could I smell an hour, 2, 3, 4 after application? Not really no. I found all the scents disappeared quite quickly, and to maintain the fragrance I would need to carry this with me and apply regularly.

Recommended?
Despite the very low price I paid for these, there’s definitely better body sprays and mists on the market. Packaging is ok, scents are old fashioned with very little longevity to all of them. No repeat purchasing here for me despite costing only 50p each!
