Most people choose their fragrance because it’s what they want to wear in that moment because of their mood, time of day or maybe it’s for an occasion. Some will drag out certain fragrances according to the time of year. Personally, I wear whatever I feel like at the time but there are certain scents that scream a particular season to me. This is true when I purchased and used So…? Unique’s Sweet Amber Caramel & Cedarwood Body Mist. Bought direct from So Fragrance when this was on sale for £2.98 instead of £5.99 late last year/beginning of this year.
Why did I buy this?
I’ve used lots of body mists and perfumes from this brand and they’ve performed well and smelt good. When there was a sale, I wanted to try scents I hadn’t experienced before, and this was one of them. The scent name sounded delicious. Scent description sounded like it was made for me, and the price confirmed it needed to be purchased!
Packaging
This is packaged differently to other fragrances I’ve used from this brand before. 150ml comes in a plastic bottle which has a golden orange tint to it. The lid is gold and how this is presented is very Autumnal in its colours.
Fragrance
Think vanilla, a hint of brown sugar and a slightly earthy, woody note mixed in. That’s how this smells in a nutshell! I love it! It’s not sickly sweet but has an obvious sweetness to it. The woodiness gives it added depth and makes the scent fuller and richer. Do you understand why this makes me think of Autumn?
Strength & Longevity
Strength is light to medium. I could easily handle this being a strong, in your face fragrance but this type of scent in that strength would make your head pop off. For a body mist you do have to be realistic when it comes to longevity. I apply this a few times during the day which I don’t feel is excessive. Partly because I just love how it smells and I want to take it in. And of course, to give me more fragrance. So, both strength and longevity are fair. But I wouldn’t say no to a stronger version of this scent!
Recommended?
If you don’t want to spend a small fortune on perfumes and fragrances and you are fond of the humble and cheap body mist, this should be on your radar. Good size, nicely packaged, and the scent is beautiful. So, if you love your warming, vanilla, sugary, woody fragrances you will love this because it smells great! The only thing I would suggest is buy when the price is right. I would never pay £6.00 for a body mist. Keeping an eye on sales or some form of special promotion is a must when picking up this or any other fragrance from this brand.
This brand of body mists is widely available on the high street and can be found in many places including supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda, and stores such as Boots and Superdrug. You may have to dig a little deeper for this fragrance though as I don’t see this particular one on the shelves all the time, but it’s worth the effort to find it.
