Do I have a favourite season for using home fragrance? Autumn and Winter are my favourite times. I spend more time at home wanting to feel snug and cosy, and home fragrance products help to maintain that vibe. Autumn and Winter scents tend to be more richer, heavier, and spicier than scents geared towards Spring and Summer, and I love it! So having a package of wax melts kindly sent to me by wax vendor Home of Honey Candle Co, filled with these types of fragrances, was a welcomed delivery. So what wax melts did I receive?
Fragrances
These wax melts scream Autumn and Winter! A great mix of fragrances which are traditional and well known for these seasons. So very much tried, tested and loved. They would appeal to the majority of people, that’s why they are popular in general. I received:
Caramel Pumpkin, Golden Autumn, Cinnamon & Vanilla, Apple Spice, Vanilla Bean Noel, Candy Cane and 12 Days of Christmas.
What type of wax melts are these?
All of these wax melts, except one, come in a wax melt snap bar. Long and rectangular, and you snap off how much you want to use and melt. 12 Days of Christmas is a selection of individual wax melt shapes. No need for snapping, just put directly into your wax warmer and go!
How do they look?
Each wax melt snap bar, although shaped the same, look different. All have a creamy base colour to them, but each have embedded on the front different coloured glitter that nicely reflects the fragrance.
Caramel Pumpkin is covered in a mix of red and gold glitter. Golden Autumn is gold. Cinnamon & Vanilla is gold with iridescent shards on the top. Apple Spice green. Vanilla Bean Noel is multiple glitter all in pastel shades. Candy Cane festive red. And finally, each wax melt is coloured differently (pink, orange, yellow, blue, cream etc) in 12 Days of Christmas Part 1, but no glitter visible that I can see.
The wax melt snap bars are all in clear sleeves finished off with white bows, which is very cute. 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 wax melts are housed in a large, clear plastic case finished off also with a ribbon. On the front each of the scents of the wax melts are mentioned. What I like about the labels on these wax melts is the Autumn scented ones have a pumpkin on the label and the Winter/Christmas ones have trees on them. Such a lovely idea and good attention to detail.
First impressions?
Beautifully presented and packaged. The wax melts themselves look so good you want to melt them immediately and from what I can smell with some of these (not opened them all yet), they smell as good as they look! Great mix of fragrances, all perfectly themed for the seasons, easy to use wax melt forms. What is there not to love so far?
To purchase Home of Honey’s wax melt snap bars, they only cost £2.50 and come in a variety of fragrances. 12 Days of Christmas Part 1 costs £8.99 which is great value for 12 differently fragranced wax melts. If the seasonal wax melts aren’t what you are looking for, there are plenty of other fragrance types and wax melt shapes on the website to purchase here.
