Is it just me or does everything contain matcha these days? First it was the drinks, then the food. Now it’s sneaking into skincare. Personally I’m not a fan of eating or drinking it, the taste isn’t for me. But skincare? I’m much more open to that idea. One skincare brand that has massive range of products, all at affordable prices, and now includes a matcha range, is Face Facts. So what products do they have?

Matcha Glow Cleansing Balm
Created to gently break down and remove make-up, dirt and general build up on the skin. This cleansing balm contains avocado oil, ceramides and matcha which should clean, nourish, and protect the skin. 80ml.

Matcha Glow Azelaic Serum
Containing matcha, Vitamin C and centella, this serum is geared to sooth and smooth the skin. Giving the skin a brighter and healthier look to it. 30ml.

Matcha Glow Peptide Water Cream
A light weight but hydrating facial moisturiser, containing matcha, niacinamide and shea butter. This cream is designed to firm, brighten and nourish the skin. 50ml.

Are there more products?
Yes there is! Online, on Face Facts website, there’s also a Detox Jelly Cleanser and Roll-On Eye Serum.
Where to buy & cost
Stockists of Face Facts products include B&M, Tesco but I found these in my local ASDA store, which were £4.00 each.
Thoughts?
These products are following a trend. How long this trend will continue for who knows, so it’s a little on the gimmicky side for me. BUT matcha isn’t a bad ingredient at all. It’s basically green tea which is an anti-oxidant, helps improve the look and feel of the skin and can have anti-ageing benefits. So the ingredients, the price point and availability and of course the products themselves seem ok, so why not?
