Buying personal care products for teenagers can be tricky, especially for boys. Rather than splash out on different lotions, potions, bath or body products, I find the best products to go for are fragrances. My son recently celebrated his 15th birthday, so amongst his birthday presents I gave him a selection of fragrances to use. So what did I buy him?
Bespoke London Body Sprays
I bought my son for a previous birthday Bespoke London’s Wild Herbs & Tonka Bean EDP. He liked it. It was a really good quality and nicely scented fragrance product and reasonably priced. When I saw a selection of the brand’s body sprays in Home Bargains for only 99p (in Superdrug they retail at £3.99 each), I bought 4 different scents. Each one very different, all smelt great, easy on the eye packaging wise and did I mention only 99p??
Lynx Blue Lavender Body Spray
Teenage boys seems to have a strange love of Lynx body products, including my son. While out shopping, he used a tester of their new Blue Lavender Body Spray and commented how he liked it. When I got the chance I purchased it without him when it was on offer for £3.50 in the supermarket Tesco.
Paco Rabanne 1 Million Deodorant Natural Spray
My son is at the age where he’s interested in designer fragrances but I’m not interested in paying designer prices. Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million Deodorant Natural Spray has that expensive designer scent to it but is cheaper than the perfume version. I managed to get this for around £18.00 from Superdrug when they had a special promotion on fragrances.
Versace Men’s Trio Miniature Set
If your son/nephew/grandson has a thing for Versace fragrances but you don’t want to pay silly money for one bottle, Versace Men’s Trio Miniature Set is a great alternative. I bought this because my son was quite taken with two of these fragrances while in a department store. Having three meant he had a choice of different ones and the size made it easy to carry around. These are small bottles (5ml each), but are a great introduction to the brand for £20.00. Did I pay £20.00? No, of course I didn’t pay full price! I bought this set when it was sub £18.00 thanks to a fragrance promotion.
So these are the fragrances I bought my son for his 15th birthday. A good mix of very cheap but good quality fragrances and designer ones, which should keep him happy and smelling nice for a long, long time. AND I didn’t bankrupt myself buying them. I shopped around, took advantage of promotions and low priced items.
