There are lots and LOTS of places you can buy wax melts. Supermarkets, discount stores, everywhere. But my favourite way to buy wax melts is direct from wax melt vendors. Their range of fragrances, shapes, sizes and forms are the most imaginative and creative wax you will ever see, and still quite affordable! Here is a lowdown of wax melt products I’ve used from wax vendor Home of Honey. All gifted, many used for every day home fragrancing, so what are they like?
Shapes
I love different shapes in wax melts, and Home of Honey gave me lots of different wax melts in a variety of sizes and shapes. From the traditional wax melt snap bar, wax melt pot, small faceted hearts, cloud shapes, crumble. So many different forms with each being easy to use and great on the eyes.
Colours
What I like about the colouring of Home of Honey’s wax melts is they are all quite subtle. Beautiful colours, nothing garish, all incredibly pretty with a few that really give the WOW factor. Many pieces finished off with a touch of glitter makes them even more special to look at.
Fragrances
A good wax vendor will sell wax melts of varied fragrance types, and Home of Honey is no exception. Floral, laundry, bakery, perfume inspired, I got a chance to try them all! Mint Choc Chip Wax Melt Brittle was mouth watering. Rose Wonderland was a great mix of floral and fruit and Opium Goddess has that expensive, perfume quality to it. Gorgeous!
Strength & Longevity
All of the wax melts I’ve used from Home of Honey have been medium in strength. To start off with they’ve been quite light (on the whole), but grown and became more obvious as they’ve melted through. All of them have lasted well longevity wise and I’ve had the chance to use each one for many hours at a time.
Prices
Prices are varied but all affordable. Starting from 50p for sample sizes which is ideal to try a scent out you might not be sure about. Wax melt snap bars are £2.50. Wax melt bear shapes (soooo cute!) £2.50 and wax melt brittle for £3.00. Many more different forms and shapes available in wax form, and lots of different configurations, sets and collections are available for sale.
Recommended?
I’ve been lucky enough to try lots of different wax melts from Home of Honey. I’ve enjoyed everything about them and found them to provide great home fragrance experiences. Being affordable makes wax melt purchases very easy and less of a special occasion buy and more an everyday item to use. So yes, recommended. The problem that you have is what wax melts do you choose?
