Wax melts is one of those home fragrance products you can purchase from anywhere. But I still find that small businesses that focus on making and selling these products create the most imaginative wax melts for a home fragrance fix. One UK based wax melt vendor I’ve been introduced to is Home of Honey. They kindly gave me a selection of wax melts a few months ago, and recently sent another box of wax goodies for me to try out. So what did I receive and what did I think about them?
Opium Goddess Wax Melt Shapes
Opium Goddess came in a variety of different shapes e.g flowers and hearts, in the colours of cream and black. Very striking because of the unusual choice of colours used. These will be easy to pop straight into a wax warmer.
Lady Gold Wax Melt Brittle
This makes me think of Autumn with it’s gold and cream coloured wax brittle. Large shards of flat wax with faceted heart shapes embedded into it. Very beautiful and I will struggle melting this because it looks so good!
Mint Choc Chip Wax Melt Brittle
Mint Choc Chip Wax Melt Brittle already looks like how it’s fragranced because it’s dark green with splodges of brown running through it. I’m very interested to find out how true to life this smells because chocolate in wax form can be hit or miss.
Coconut & Shea Wax Melt Snap Bar
This is a 5 segmented wax melt snap bar which is cream in colour with a hint of soft purple running through it. Since it’s easy to to open, I could smell this and it smells gorgeous! It has a tropical scent to it which is the hint of coconut, with a creamy, comforting element to it which is the shea.
Fresh Linen Wax Melt Snap Bar
Cream and blue in colour, Fresh Linen Wax Melt Snap Bar has that fresh, clean, almost powdery fragrance to it which will delight anyone who loves laundry scents.
Island Hibiscus & Rainflower Wax Melt Pot
A super cute green flower shaped piece of wax sits on top of more wax, finished off with green sparkles. Island Hibiscus & Rainflower Wax Melt Pot not only is pretty on the eye but smells INSANE! It has an earthiness to it, think plants. Mixed in with florals and a slight hit of fruitiness. Totally different to anything I’ve ever smelt before and it’s incredible!
Spring Laundry Wax Melt Crumble
This wax melt literally is in crumble form, which is fun to see. It comes with a little wooden scoop, which is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to snap or cut wax. Very easy and efficient to use. Spring Laundry Wax Melt Crumble is a laundry inspired scent. Fresh, clean, floral and strongly fragranced.
Golden Orchid Wax Melt Discs
A very different shape to what I usually use, these come in a box of six and are quite thick but flat discs. Cream with a generous amount of gold glitter on the top, these look luxurious!
Alien Invasion Wax Melt Discs
Like Golden Orchid, Alien Invasion came in a pack of 6 discs. Same colouring but with a mix of different coloured glitter on them.
First Impressions?
What I love about these wax melts was the different shapes, sizes and fragrances they came in. Home of Honey make and sell a varied mix of wax melts that covers everyone’s home fragrance needs. I’m impressed with how each wax melt looks and the ones I can smell at this stage smell great! So look and smell wise these are already getting ticks off me before they’ve even been used!
