Skincare face masks are a great product to give the face a temporary treatment and for the owner of the face a little bit of pamper time. They’ve always been popular and their popularity doesn’t seem to be changing. What’s good about face masks is you can get them very affordably, depending on what type you choose and the brand. One brand that literally has a display stand of skincare facemasks in the supermarket ASDA is Skin Treats. And they’re all £1.00 each! So what’s available?
Clay Masks
Masks that contain clay are great for people who suffer from oily or blemished skin, as it can help to remove oil and impurities, leaving the skin to look fresher, less shiny and feel more smoother. There were 4 different clay masks available: Vitamin C (brightening), Red Cherry, Hyaluronic Acid (hydration) and Dragon Fruit. These aren’t sheet masks but actually topical masks that need to be applied to clean skin, left on for 15-20 minutes and rinsed off.
Super Soothing Superfood Sheet Masks
Sheet masks that are designed to be moisturising, soothing and contain superfood fruit extracts. These masks come in Mango, Coconut and Blueberry. Apply onto clean skin, leave on for 15-20 minutes and massage any serum/solution left on the skin.
Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel Face Mask
A gel sheet mask to give an instant cooling effect to skin that maybe tired and stressed. It should help the skin to feel more relaxed, soothed and comforted. Not to mention provide hydration. This is used as most sheet masks should be which is apply on clean skin for up to 20 minutes.
Lip & Eye Masks
To soothe the lip and eye areas, these duo masks come in Dragon Fruit, Watermelon and Cherry. Each one contains the relevant fruit extract and I assume is scented to match as well.
Printed Sheet Masks
Each sheet mask has an image printed on it. Unicorn, Princess and Fairy. So for those who want a sheet mask that’s cute, fun to wear and look at, these could be the ones! Use as you would any sheet mask with skin benefits being the usual hydration and soothing effects.
What do I think?
This is a good selection of different types of face masks all at a budget friendly price point. Will these delivery anything amazing to the face? Probably not. But they’re all easy to use, should be enjoyable to wear and give the skin the 20 minute pamper it deserves. Would I buy any of these myself? No. And the reason why is I have specific things I look for when it comes to skincare which these don’t deliver. But 20 years ago I would probably buy and try any of these!
