Summer is here (sort of!), which means lots of people will be getting ready to go away on holiday. It might be abroad, in the UK, a few days or a few weeks. However long the break is most people will pack similar things, such as travel sized personal hygiene products. Rather than buy them last minute, it’s much easier to grab while out shopping or passing certain stores. So what’s currently available on the high street, in stores and in supermarkets?
Boots
Boots probably is the best place to buy travel items if you want a wider range of brands and products to choose from. Travel sized versions of popular brands and products such as Soap & Glory’s Righteous Butter Body Lotion, Nivea’s Creme Body Cream and The Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm can be purchased. Sun care wise they have their own brands in travel sizes e.g Soltan Mini Protect & Moisturise Lotion along with the standard brands you can see elsewhere. Currently on a 3 for 2 price promotion.
Superdrug
Superdrug stock everyday brands and products in travel sizes, but they also have their own brands in these sizes too e.g Vitamin E Moisturiser and B Cleansing Balm 15g. Good variety of products and all are very affordable. Currently on a 3 for 2 price promotion.
ASDA
Along with some of their own ranges, ASDA stock the general brands other retailers do. The products are budget friendly price wise. If purchasing online the products available are very limited so picking up in store is better. Currently on a 3 for 2 price promotion.
Home Bargains
There are no special offers on the travel sized products in Home Bargains, but the everyday price per product is cheaper compared to other stores. For example, Original Source Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel 50ml is 99p in Home Bargains and is £1.50 in Boots. So you do have to weigh up the costs and take into consideration price promotions in other stores to get the best value. Potentially this is one of the cheapest places for singular items.
Don’t forget many of these products can be purchased online. Use cashback sites such as Quidco or TopCashBack to earn money from making these purchases. If they have a reward scheme or card connected to that store use it instore and online and try to make your money work harder.
