My local Primark, which is in the city centre of my town, can get busy and messy quickly! I love having a look around their beauty department, but sometimes it’s hard fighting your way through bodies and shelves that look like they’ve been ransacked. I’ve always found visiting early morning is the best and tidiest time. So I had a chance early morning last week to have a look at some of their women’s fragrances, because I haven’t looked at them for ages. So what did I find?

Neroli Breeze
This consists of mandarin, neroli and musk. From this combination I would expect something with a freshness but depth, and could be liked by both men and women. Nicely shaped blue bottle, very square and angular in look, and housed in an identical sea blue coloured box.

Orchid Whispers
Bergamot, violet and patchouli are the notes in Orchid Whisper. I can imagine this is a floral scent but quite a heavy, deep one, possibly ideal for night time use. The bottle this comes in looked a little cheap to me with its large gold door knob like top with a square purple bottle. Comes in a simple purple coloured box.

Forever
Now this looks fun! Shaped as a heart, this fragrance is made up of notes of jasmine, tuberose and tonka bean. Could this be a feminine, heady, seductive fragrance? Possibly with these notes in it!

Golden Girl
Containing notes of jasmine, rose, vanilla and musk, this comes across as a very feminine girly girl type fragrance. Very pretty, perfect for spring and summer and for everyday use. Packaging is simple, with a cut out on the front to see the bottle inside. I really like how this is presented. It suits the description of the fragrance perfectly.

Capri Girl
Packaged in the same way as Golden Girl, but using different colour combinations (mainly soft blue). This fragrance contains notes of lemon, jasmine, amber and vanilla. Again, another feminine, pretty sounding fragrance, but this feels like it will be fresher and quite light and subtle.

Formulation, size & price
Each fragrance mentioned is of an eau de parfum formulation, which means it has a certain percentage of fragrance oils in it e.g stronger than an eau de toilette. Each is 30ml in size (except Forever which is 50ml) and all cost £6.00 each.
Thoughts?
These represent a good mix of fragrances but perfect for the up and coming seasons. There were more available but I didn’t get the chance to look at them all, as a comic book shop and two teens were calling for my attention! But most were nicely packaged, ok sizes (anything under 50ml for me turns into travel size) and decent prices. I did manage to smell one and it smelt really really good. But my thought is, how good are they when it comes to longevity and strength? Maybe I need to find out…
