I can’t deny the fact that I’m a budget fragrance lover. If I can grab something that hopefully smells nice and is super affordable I’m going to buy it! But did I make a mistake purchasing Tesco’s Extracts Body Sprays? I’m currently testing these out, so before I go into how these perform, what’s my initial thoughts of these sprays?

Fragrances available
In store I found Tesco’s Extracts in 3 different fragrances:
Black Orchid & Amber
Sweet Orchid & Jasmine
Wild Rose & Apple
These fragrances on the surface seem ok, although could be a little more imaginative. They’re not very modern in scent and don’t follow todays scent trends, but is that a bad thing? None of these fragrances are a turn off for me, and that’s why I bought them all! But I don’t feel as if they’re geared towards a younger market.

Packaging
All three come in a thin canister. Not completely straight up and down but with a slight curve close to the top which it makes it a little more interesting. Each one is coloured differently. One is black, one pink and one purple, trying to match the actual fragrance I suspect. Each one has a basic floral illustration on it representing the floral element of each scent. Quite old fashioned in look. Again, this makes me feel they’re not geared towards a younger market or particular trends. In fact, I would say they look like how much they cost. So packaging is practical but on the eye could be so much better.

Size & price
75ml of body spray costs 99p. BUT the reason I actually bought these was because they were on a special Clubcard ( Tesco’s loyalty card ) promotion and only cost 50p each!
First impressions?
It was the price that caught my attention in all honesty. Originally 99p down to 50p is a steal! The everyday price of these body sprays is what you expect from the cheapest on the high street. 50p is even cheaper and better! So price wise, great! Fragrances available are fine, but along with how these look not very 2026 and very dated. My first impressions are you get what you pay for. But the question is, how do they perform?
Review to follow….
These are available in store and online (at time of writing this post they were on a clubcard deal which may have changed now).
