There was a time I would happily buy multiple products for the skin and body without blinking! If the product appealed to me because of brand, type, scent, I would grab it. Personal care aisles were never safe from me! But these days, as much as I do still like a mini splurge, my purchases are on the smaller side and a little more considered. So what did I buy last week for the skin and body? Why? And how much do it cost?

Aldi’s Lacura Cardinal Red Shower Gel
This is one of the products in Aldi that I’ve wanted to try but never had. I’ve used their Snow Fairy shower gel dupe before and enjoyed it, so I thought I would probably like this too. These shower gels normally cost £1.99. This was down to £1.49, so I thought this would be the best time to purchase. This is a dupe of Baccarat Rouge 540 with this fragrance being perfect for this time of year. Usual price £1.99, down to £1.49 (in my store) for 500ml.

Nuagé Oatmeal Body Wash
I’m a MASSIVE fan of oatmeal in skin and body products because it’s soothing on irritated and sensitive akin and a moisture giver. There’s plenty of body lotions that contain oatmeal on the market, but not body washes. So THIS I needed to snap up! Containing oatmeal extracts, fragrance free, I needed to try this out asap. Especially since I’ve used this brand’s body oil in the past, which I really liked. £1.29 for 500ml in Home Bargains.

Dove’s Limited Edition Summer Spritz Beauty Cream Bar
My son loves the normal Dove soap bars. He’s smelt this one and commented how nice the fragrance was. So I knew at some point I needed to buy this for him with and add a selection of other body products he would like for Christmas. Originally I was going to get this from B&M for £1.99, but the stock disappeared. Saw this in Home Bargains for £1.49 (contains 2 soaps and I bought 2 lots) so winner!

Simple’s Charcoal Purifying Sheet Mask
As a brand, I love Simple. Their skin and body care products I happily buy my daughter to use because they don’t contain artificial colour or perfume. I also find this brand is good for gifting if I’m not sure of someone’s skin type. These masks we’ve used before and loved. I bought 2, one for my daughter as a Christmas stocking filler, and the other goes straight in the future gift box. 69p. Again, another bargain from Home Bargains!

So these are the products I bought last week, which came to a grand total of £7.14. All quite practical products. Some destined for Christmas gift giving, some for everyday use. But none broke my budget!
