Dupes! Dupes! And more dupes? They’re being flung out left, right and centre! Customers aren’t complaining though. If they can get versions of brands at a lower price and are decent in quality, who will complain? It was only the other day I discovered Lidl had brought out LUSH inspired body mists. Now I’ve found some hair and body products that are dupes for Sol de Janerio. So, what did I find?

Product types
There’s three products I found within this new range called Ipanema Infusion. A shampoo, conditioner and a body wash.

Fragrances
The shampoo and conditioner comes in Pistachio & Salted Caramel fragrance. The shower gel comes in two fragrances, Pistachio & Salted Caramel and also Jasmine & Dragon Fruit. Both seem to be fragrances on the sweeter side, with one being more bakery based and the other fruity.

Packaging
Each product comes in a chunky, plastic bottle. White lid with coloured bottle and a basic tropical looking island print on the front. They did catch my eye, so did the job grabbing my attention. But they do look like the price they are retailing for (we’ll get to the price point soon enough!). Nothing particularly fancy look wise, but not bad either.

Size & price
Each product comes in a 385ml size, which is pretty generous and costs £3.99.
How are these Sol de Janerio dupes?
Packaging is similar to Sol de Janerio. If you compare the two side by side, you can see where the inspiration comes from. But you can also tell which one is the more expensive product and which one is the cheaper. Fragrances….personally I think the fragrances of Lidl’s products are on trend and is everywhere and in everything, so I wouldn’t say its specifically Sol inspired.

Thoughts?
Putting the duping to one side, these look like decent products. Packaging is ok, product amount is good, fragrances nothing new but appealing and what we see on the high street. Pricing seems affordable. Worth a buy? Why not!
