Under eye patches. They are an affordable, pampering product that can give a tired looking and feeling under eye a temporary pick me up when needed. THAT’S why I love using them. They may not totally change this area of the face, but they give it a little help even for a few minutes. A few months ago, I picked up some under eye patches from Primark, including their Hydrate Hyaluronic Acid Gel Eye Patches. And with no under eye patches to use at the moment, I thought it would be the perfect time to try these. So what are they like?

What are these supposed to do?
These under eye gel patches are supposed to soothe, smooth and hydrate.
What do you get?
3 pairs of gel under eye patches. These come in a basic, sealable sachet.
How do these look?
Typical under eye patch shaped. Thin, clear and gel like in feel and look.

How much are they?
£1.80 for 3 pairs.
How to use
Place onto clean, dry under eyes for up to 20 minutes then remove. No need to wash or wipe off any residue.
In use
When I opened the sachet I found these under eye patches were in another packet, which was damp and filled with some form of serum. Taking them out, I expected these to be thicker. Putting them on my face I realised I placed them the wrong way because they weren’t covering my under eye area, and the thinnest width of the patches should have been closer to the outside of the eye. Even then, I didn’t like how they sat. Yes, they were reasonably cooling and secure on the skin. But I felt they still didn’t cover enough of the area below the bottom lash line and covered too much of my cheek close to my nose.
The packaging says these should be left on for between 15-20minutes, but I found these started to dry out around the 10 minute mark. Not only could I feel this but could see it. By around 10-15 minutes, once I took these off these were dry and tissue like with zero serum on them.
I felt these were ok in wear, quite comfortable. There was no real visible look or feel of moisturisation or treatment. But eyes didn’t feel or look dry, although matt in look.

Recommended?
No. The shape of these needed to be a little better to cover the under eye area fully. These could have been more cooling and moisturising. I think for £1.80 for 3 pairs yes, it provides good value, but there’s better under eye patches on the market to use.
