Which one should you buy? I’ve bought and used both Lidl’s Drizzle Me Body Spray and Superdrug’s Fruity Sticky Toffee Body Mist. Similar fragrances in regards to scent. But if I could choose one, which one would it be?
Packaging
Lidl’s Drizzle Me is pushed as a LUSH dupe. Not just in how it smells but also how it’s packaged. It’s quite a large, chunky black bottle in a similar shape to cleaning products. Superdrug’s Fruity Sticky Toffee is much smaller in size and looks more like a traditional body mist. For aesthetics I would go with Lidl, especially if giving as a gift. But for practicality e.g carrying in a bag or pocket, Superdrug win.
Fragrance
Drizzle Me is a lighter fragrance in strength. Scent wise it makes me think of toffee/caramel, that kind of sugary goodness. Sticky Toffee is stronger and smells like the name suggests, but with a little depth to it. It smells like it’s supposed to be a fragrance not just smells like toffee. Superdrug’s Fruity Sticky Toffee Body Mist wins on this because the fragrance is much much better!
Strength & longevity
Lidl’s Drizzle Me Body Spray smells reasonably strong but lessens in strength quickly. After a few hours, if not less, it’s very faint. Superdrug’s Fruit Sticky Toffee Body Mist starts off strong and maintains a decent strength for a few hours. And the scent stays. Not as strong but noticeable and overall much better than Drizzle Me. Superdrug wins again!
Size & price
Drizzle Me is 200ml in size costing £3.99. Sticky Toffee is 100ml with an rrp of £3.49, which makes it much more expensive for how much you get compared to Lidl’s. BUT Superdrug’s Fruity body mists are always on a price promotion. Either half price at £1.74 or 2for1 for £3.49. This makes Superdrug a better value product IF on a special offer (I rarely see it full price!).
Which one should you buy?
Without a doubt Superdrug’s Sticky Toffee Body Mist. Superior in smell and quality with more practical, everyday packaging and better value price wise.
