Who doesn’t love a dupe? Despite the fact the market is flooded with them, as customers we can’t help but lap them up. There’s something satisfying about finding a dupe at a fraction of the price compared to the original version. But do you know what’s the best feeling? Finding one that’s not an everyday dupe. So when I found out Lidl had added to their range of LUSH dupes, I needed to try it out, especially since these new products are fragrances. I purchased Drizzle Me Body Spray from this new release. So, what’s it like?
Packaging
Drizzle Me body spray comes in a chunky, black plastic bottle with a large lever to release the fragrance. It might be basic in look but its different and fun and unbelievably similar packaging to the LUSH counterparts.
The fragrance
Sweet, caramel/toffee like. The bottle mentions dates. Do I get dates? What does dates actually smell like? I’m not sure. But think of toffee, caramel, fudge like scents, this falls into that category.
Strength & longevity
This fragrance when applied is very noticeable at first, so would say a medium. But then the strength died down and I found myself needing to reapply to get the level of scent I wanted. When wearing this first thing in the morning and comparing the scent around mid day, the scent is very faint and just about there. This is how I found this to be applied directly onto clothing not on skin, so it maybe different on skin. I found the strength ok at the start, went downhill fast and scent didn’t last.

Something I noticed…
When applying this body spray, the stream wasn’t particularly fine. I would find damp patches on my top where it would hit. So I didn’t feel like the spray was distributed properly and evenly. Was this because of the lever and the size of the end of the nozzle? Possibly. But not a good look on your way out with a wet circle on your clothes!
Is this really a LUSH dupe?
This appears to be a dupe of Sticky Dates. The scent sounds similar and the packaging as mentioned pretty much is twinning.
Recommended?
The actual smell of this is quite nice and my type of scent The packaging is fun but doesn’t deliver the fragrance fine enough, and isn’t a product you would take out with you as it’s quite bulky. Strength and longevity, for me, needs to be better. If this was cheaper I could live with it being on the lighter side. But I’ve bought and used similar fragrance sprays/mists for less and they’ve been better quality. Not every fragrance needs to be strong. So if you like the way this looks and smells, and don’t want a powerhouse scent, this could be for you. But if you need something stronger and longer lasting, look for other alternatives. Not one I will be repeat purchasing.
