Now that all the schools and colleges are closed in the UK, this is the time when lots of families will be going on holiday. Whether that’s abroad or in the UK, people will be preparing for a getaway for a few days or weeks. Nobody wants to take their whole bathroom with them, it’s a hassle, and takes up too much room. That’s why mini travel toiletries are useful. They’re available everywhere but most stores sell the same ones. Aveeno’s Daily Moisturising Body Lotion
This is a range which is great for those who suffer from dry and irritated skin, and also those with certain skin conditions. Containing oats which is soothing, and leaving out things that can irritate sensitive skin e.g fragrance, it’s about time mini’s like this where available! £4.50 for 100ml.
Aveeno’s Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion
Similar to Aveeno’s Daily Moisturising Body Lotion, but this is a richer formulation. It still contains oats but also shea butter. This product is for very drier skin which needs moisturising and protecting. £4.50 for 50ml.
Aveeno’s Skin Relief Body Oil
Provides the same benefits as the lotion version but in oil form. Great for those who want a moisturising product but in a different texture to a lotion. And if needed could be layered with other products. £5.00 for 50ml.
Treacle Moon’s Oh So Brazilian Love Hand & Body Lotion
Another tropical scented lotion for the hands and the body (coconut and macadamia oil), this comes from the budget friendly brand Treacle Moon. Shower gels, body scrubs, body mists, and more, all practical products in amazing fragrances. This lotion has a slight shimmer to it which should give a sun kissed body on holiday a beautiful glow. £2.25 for 75ml.
Skin Saints Shea Butter Hand Creams
I saw this hand cream in 2 different fragrances. One in Sweet Flower, the other Coconut & Lime. Both fragrances should be easy to tell what they smell like from their names alone. One will be floral based, the other fruity and tropical. Nicely packaged in a practical but unusual shape for a hand cream. Only £2.00 each for 50ml.
Prices
Compared to full sized products, mini travel toiletries are more expensive but we all know this. We’re paying for convenience and ease. And if we don’t want to pay these prices, decanting our full sized products in travel jars and bottles is the best alternative. But what makes these products better value, is currently these are on a 3 for 2 price promotion (if you have a Tesco club card!)
Thoughts?
There’s a good mix of different brands and products available in Tesco in travel sizes. These cover people’s needs, including specific skin issues or a need to use something that is generic and for everyone. And the prices are fair too. Overall, Tesco is a great place to pick up travel essentials.
